Likelihood to Recommend As a one-person IT department, Atera is almost like having another person to help, especially as we integrate the AIT functionalities. We have several locations spread over nearly 200 miles, and Atera has enabled me to remote in and fix something that before would have had to wait until we could justify an all-day or overnight 300 mile round trip.
Read full review Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management is best suited for mid to large-size companies that require all the functions that it presents. It is a plus if you are well known with the VMWare "Horizon" ecosystem and use some of these solutions. It's to hard and resource intensive to setup and manage for small companies. Next to that it is to costly for only basic functionality compared to other solutions
Read full review Pros Support, if you need them they are there and they always have the answers you need. The AI scripting features allow you to really hit the ground running. You can give it a prompt and it will give you a script that will be very close to what you need. All you have to do is polish it up and test it out. I love having the ability to use multiple remote access tools, in the event a machine has an issue with one of them, or if a cloud service goes down, you have a fallback. The shared script library is an amazing resource for troubleshooting and streamlining. The development teams are open to adding features and have done so frequently based on user requests. Read full review Enrollment is a snap with many different options. This allows organizations with corporately owned or BYOD programs to bring devices under management in a flexible and scalable solution. Deployment of apps-AirWatch makes deploying apps across your organization simple a quick. AirWatch is usually close to "Zero Day" ready with major hardware manufacturers updated features. Many of the Android and iOS updated features are incorporated into the environments almost as soon as they are released. AirWatch has great customer service. This was not always the case but as the company has grown over the last year in particular, I have been receiving better customer service compared to other MDMs. Read full review Cons Some basic functions need some extra work Some basic things are behind paywalls Feature board is not credible. Ideas taking very, very long to implement Atera has no clear road map SNMP monitoring needs a make over and needs more options Read full review On-Premises solution is very slow compared to SAS and which is causing many issues while accessing emails on a device, server management, contacts sync issues, Reporting issue AirWatch Inbox application was very buggy and created a lot of issue in our organization and it seems no one is happy with the performance AirWatch Inbox is giving. It is very costly as per analysis provided by Gartner quadrant and for a small organization or for small user base it is not that much suitable. Read full review Likelihood to Renew As of right now, we have found nothing that can offer as many features as Atera does along with the affordability. They are doing monthly releases each month and not just making small changes (shared scripting library, chocolatey support, Install packages, Splashtop SOS support, Scheduled tickets to name a few). The uptimes are great and accessibility to the dashboard has yet to be limited. We are a happy customer and bordering on fanboy status now
Read full review We've used it for 3 years and our contract is up later this year. We own the licenses, but we would have to either renew cloud services or bring the services in-house and install on servers here. We may want to see what's new in the marketplace that could be just as useful and cost effective.
Read full review Usability This has been a great platform to handle both service requests and device maintenance. Without it, we would have to do manual ticket creation through another platform that does not link with a RMM making the help desk inefficient and frustrating both Employees and the Executives of the company. The addition of AI makes all of this even easier!
Read full review It works well for our environment and what we're using it for. It actually does more than we're currently utilizing, but I believe our needs will change in the near future and we could utilize more features.
Read full review Reliability and Availability Just in the past few weeks our staff has had several issues with the website. It is either taking a long time to load anything or we are not able to get in at all. This is very frustrating when you are trying to manage and enroll users. It was down 2 days in a row just this past week. Not good!
Read full review Performance Went over the availability just a minute ago on the last rating. Don't use the reporting too much but will likely begin that soon. Integration with Active Directory doesn't seem to bog either system down.
Read full review Support Rating Atera support provides answers to my questions lightning fast. They have never left me feeling like I'm out there on my own. I can ask questions by email, or by chat, or by opening a ticket with them and they are always on it quickly. They also have a forum where other Atera users can help you if you need it, and you can also add feature requests via the forum.
Read full review There is a separate portal for Workspace One + Chat function. The support is fast but sometime you need a little but luck that the right person is supporting your case. Case escalation is not really working.
Read full review Implementation Rating AirWatch support was included and helped with every step of the implementation. They have their "university" with helpful documents and phone support 24x7.
Read full review Alternatives Considered Atera was the clear winner for us. The interface and tools were very easy to learn and setup. Atera's licensing incorporates good feature sets and value levels. Some of the other products were difficult to setup and lacked good flow between tools. The value proposition was also not as good.
Read full review Airwatch remains a leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant and meets the data mobility needs of our organization. We are looking at moving to the cloud with Office365 and are evaluating the Intune/EMS/MAM/Rights Management suite. We have set up both Airwatch and Intune/EMS/MAM/Rights Management in a lab environment and have compiled some good comparison data and are looking to further evaluate these products. From our testing Airwatch has good integration with Office365 and is more feature rich and has more robust controls in both the MDM and Data Management/Security space. If someone is looking for a more simple solution without MDM and they are considering providing email and calendar access only Intune/MAM may be the way to go.
Read full review Scalability It is really scalable. They love to have more users as you pay by the license. They are great in this regard.
Read full review Return on Investment We have been able to add new employees/devices without increasing my staff to support them. The value of charging per technician verses per device cannot be stated enough. Without that pricing, I wouldn't be able to budget enough to pay for all of the things I get with Atera. They have a customer portal which allows the end user to check on submitted tickets, open new tickets and recommend any new features. Users don't have the time to be spending their telecom plans on apps that are not accepted for corporate use. So, this plans can be controlled and money saved.
