Hive will fit right in to any workflow that manages multiple projects. It's also a great fit for collaboration on a per-project basis as external users can collaborate with paid users. Across a very large team it would take more planning on how to fit multiple workflows and groups into the workspace but it can be done.

In creative teams such as marketing, design, video, social media I think it's well suited. Even a small start up / small business / freelancers to keep track on projects. It's great for collaboration and as a tool for yourself to organise your workload. I'm not sure if it would be suited for other roles that perhaps a more detailed tool.

  • I would like an option to create spreadsheets similar to how a spreadsheet looks on Excel. There are some spreadsheets that I would like created on monday.com, but monday.com will not adapt to what we want the spreadsheet to look like.

I love Hive so much because it has made a huge difference regarding team communication and project management at the same time. We experienced almost no bugs and in the few cases that we did have some trouble, the customer service team was very responsive and solved our problems very quickly.

Monday.com is very easy to use. Creating new project boards is fast and onboarding team members to use the tool is very simple. You don't really need a lot of training to use the tool. The automations ability is the key differentiator where you can take away some of the repetitive mundane tasks to save time. It gives good visibility and accountability while managing a project board.

Our CSR is easily accessible and they have support built into the app itself. They also have a pretty robust support site. We also took advantage of the free trial and learned so much by putting Hive through the paces and figuring out the best way to mold it to our needs.

I've had very little experience with the Customer Success Manager, so I can't give it an accurate rating. I also have little experience with the 24/7 customer support. I've never had to use them before, since I've never had a technical issue with the program. Typically, any issue I come across is easily resolvable by communicating with the owner of the particular board I'm working on at the time.

We signed up for the accounts. Created the accounts. Ran the trial version and tested it live while we were running multiple projects and found that it was fitting our needs perfectly. When the trial ended and we were asked to purchase the full version, we did. We have found other ways to use it and it's a breeze.

I would say that in comparison to Asana, Hive is a better interface an UI. I think Asana is more robust in terms of what it can do in conjunction with Confluence but I think Hive is a better entry-level model for new employees. Hive is much simpler and more straight forward and its integration with Slack is preferred.

We used an excel spreadsheet to track our month end close process previously which created a lot of issues around only one person being able to be in the checklist at any given time. Additionally, we were unable to have excel notify us when a task we need to have completed was done, but Monday.com has completely changed that for us!
