It sends email to your supporters email address and Facebook inboxes. It has a nice drag and drop interface, but you can also use HTML. Good selection of templates. It would be great if it were integrated with LinkedIn and Instagram.

For entry level email marketing professionals, Vertical Response's simple dashboard, fast search features, and easy of use make it a great choice for organizations with a limited budget.

Integration with Salesforce is a plus, and there are some good templates to get started. However, the user interface is very clunky and unintuitive.

Vertical Response is a cost effective option for consolidating marketing across multiple properties. The API is a great way of allowing users to send mail directly from VR or from our in-house application which is connected through the API. We would like to see more granularity around opt-out messages.

Vertical Response has great templates that do not require HTML skills. I has a simple user interface and it's quite easy to do basic things like upload lists and manage contacts. But the product does not offer any marketing automation features or even list segmentation.

Cost was a big factor in the selection of Vertical Response. It is very user-friendly and intuitive, and has reduced the time we have needed to take to manage our email marketing. It would be good to have more sophisticated multi-variate and A/B testing capabilities and easier integration with 3rd-party tools.

Vertical Response is a very strong product and it was great for keeping a DB of customers and creating online signups. I would like to have access to more templates and a better editor for the web-based email.

Vertical Response is a good email platform and has increased our lead generation. Analytics are very helpful for tracking engagement and social sharing is quite easy to use. Email templates are hard to customize and the WSYIWYG is a bit limiting.

Vertical Response is a great email platform enabling a 12% conversion rate on campaigns. Excellent integration with Salesforce and great usability. Reporting could be better.
Easy Set Up & Integration with Salesforce

Vertical Response was selected over MailChimp and ExactTarget because of seamless integration with Salesforce, cost, feature set. Strong points are point and click integration with Salesforce, and tracking of email receipt in the constituent Salesforce record. Some minor issues around updating existing email lists and with images in cloned emails but, overall, the products intuitive, and easy-to-learn with strong product support.
Switched from Salesforce for simplicity, cost.

Board Director at a small nonprofit replaced Salesforce with Vertical Response for contact management / email marketing as Salesforce was too complex for an organization of this size. Vertical Response works very well and is free for nonprofits.

This is s more professional tool than many generic free tools and provides good email templates. It's generally easy to use, but requires some HTML knowledge if you stray from the standard templates.

Vertical Response is a good starter email package with good deliverability, integration with Salesforce and customer support. However, limited functionality is unlikely to appeal to companies with more advanced requirements.

HootSuite Enterprise works well with a wide range of social media networks and can be managed in one place. It provides users with the ability to create customized analytic reports. While the enterprise level includes expedited support, there is still room for improvement in terms of the consistency of the response times. The integrated HootSuite Syndicator and the RSS Reader app both have room for improvement.
Team functionality and clean UI are great.

Hootsuite is great for teams and makes it easy to manage additional users by assigning tasks etc. Great analytics and monitoring capabilities. It would be great if we could see impressions and who our top influential users are on each social network. The addition of a buffer tool to spread posts throughout the day would also be useful.

HootSuite Enterprise works very well for monitoring, publishing and team management / workflow. Upgraded from Pro to Enterprise due to the large number of social platforms being managed across the country and also the need to have access to HootSuite University. Training is critically important to build confidence and efficiency with the product! Customer service is great. However, one person of the organization must take the time to understand the product thoroughly and act as liaison between Hootsuite and the team.

They started with a free trial and upgraded from the Pro to Enterprise edition for additional support and a personal connection to the company. Great product: The "team" infrastructure works well in an agency environment. Reporting is not all that it could be.

Hootsuite allows you to see who is engaging with you, and makes it easy to schedule posts. The analytics are also great - although they could be even more detailed. The UI could be streamlined somewhat.
