Very well suited for permanent employees in global organizations.

Not well suited for contingent workforces as you have to pay for Oracle licenses for all of them. We are looking at moving some of our temporary associate payrolls to Oracle Cloud, but the license cost is prohibitive (even though they will not have access to most features within Oracle).

Saba Cloud

Saba LMS is well-suited for Life Sciences, Banking and Manufacturing industries. However, if it is a new implementation, it will be good to have Saba Cloud. If it is implemented for the organizations where legacy applications to be migrated, Saba Cloud would not be the right choice. Reports and Analytics in Saba Cloud are unique and it is not available in other LMS applications.

  • Goal Management - With Saba, managers can easily create goals aligned up to senior leadership, and then work with their direct reports to create supporting goals.
  • Learning Management - Using Saba's built-in Smart Lists, assigning compliance training is a simple process that used to be a challenge in our former LMS.

Time and money are required to make the engine go smoothly. But once it runs at full capacity, it doesn't stop! There is a lot of potential on Fusion. We have reaped about 10% of potential benefits. Especially on Workforce Intelligence, the opportunities are huge. The reason why we do not use the solution at its full potential is not in the product (which is simple and transparent). A roadmap is under construction to bring more of its potential to the end user.

I personally liked using Bullhorn better, everything was easy to pick up on and flowed really nicely. I feel that it was very intuitive were as Taleo does not have the same flow to it. Bullhorn also has a modern look and the ability for me to open all the jobs I am currently working on and candidate profiles at the same time

We had extensive reviews with a plan of what we needed and must have out of the system, including custom learning paths and tracking inside our HRIS system to grant permissions and positions based on completed learning certifications and courses. We weighed each option and chose based on the one that met the most of the must-haves.

  • Once Taleo is up and running at your organization you will see a ROI within your first hire. I was using a lot of outside vendors prior to using Taleo which typical cost me 20K per hire for an engineer. So it was clear to the CEO once I made my first hire using Taleo via a job posting or referral or sourcing method that the ATS was the way to go. He was quite pleased. Cut the vendor fees from 500K a year down to under 100K!

  • We were able to get Saba's entire Talent Cloud for the cost of our last LMS. That meant we were able to implement performance management for no additional licensing costs.
  • There's no doubt that any organization burdened with compliance requirements needs an LMS. Saba has all the bells and whistles needed.
