What TrustRadius Research Says

LogMeIn Pro Pricing 2022

Modern IT support today means being able to offer high-quality remote support to your coworkers or clients. This means choosing the software with the best performance, features, and cost. LogMeIn Pro is a remote support software with great capabilities and functionality. They are an awesome small business solution. LogMeIn services make up 1.6% of the IT support market and their maker GoTo is a major business software company.

What Is Logmein Pro?

LogMeIn Pro is a remote access tool for IT support. The software gives service providers remote control of another user's computer. You can access the software-as-a-service (SaaS) application on Mac, Windows, and mobile devices. The mobile app works on both Android and iPhone devices.

LogMeIn Pro reviews show satisfaction with the overall performance of the remote access software. One customer reported strong ease of use with the desktop app.

Another user found the remote control features to be “fantastic,” and said, “It scales the screens great. There is no lag in the screen refreshes.” Many end-users have also talked about the easy installation process, with one customer praising it for being “user friendly and intuitive.” These benefits help users offer great service and improve productivity.

The main complaints center around pricing and occasional bugs in the functionality. One user noticed that “The floating bar at the top sometimes covers the work in progress.” Another end-user commented the price could be more “competitive,” and also noticed that on their Mac, “Screen resolution is spotty.”

Although these can be small, infrequent bugs, they can end up being far more frustrating on days with deadlines or particularly hard PC errors you need to diagnose. The cost being a little expensive certainly will not help with that. We recommend you read through reviews for a more in-depth look at whether they’re the right choice for you.

How Much Does Logmein Pro Cost?

The LogMeIn pricing model is very simple. All plans include remote access, remote printing, and a multi-monitor display for unlimited users. Each license has 1TB of file storage and antivirus protection.

Remote control features that come with the software include printing, file transfer, screen sharing, and rebooting. You can see the full list of features here.

To use LogMeIn, you download the software license on the computer being controlled. That computer can then be accessed with the LogMeIn client app. To learn more about the client and host, go here.

The pricing plans for LogMeIn have the same features. The only difference is the number of computers per package. The plans also offer free LastPass premium licenses for password management, but only enough to cover half of all the computers in your package so it’s not going to be a deciding factor when buying.

When you are ready to purchase your licenses, you will see even more package options at checkout that aren’t part of the main featured plans. These packages are just different numbers of computer licenses you can buy bundled together. You can add as many as 50 computer licenses for your small business.

LogMeIn’s unlimited users can be a real advantage to big IT teams and companies that provide internal service. The licenses are required for computers that will be remote controlled, so fewer licenses mean only a few office computers will be available for service. These plans can be a great option for small teams but for large, entirely remote companies it’s going to get expensive fast.

What Is Another Product Like Logmein Pro?

TeamViewer is another remote desktop software for offering virtual customer support. They have similar features to LogMeIn, but their pricing is much more diverse. Notable pricing details for TeamViewer include annual billing cycles, more package options, and a free version.

TeamViewer's free version is just for personal remote support and not for commercial use. It’s not part of the main business plans, but you can learn more about it here. Even though you can’t use the free version as a team, you can still use it to test out the software without worrying about when a free trial ends.

So who’s cheaper? It’s tricky. TeamViewer restricts the number of users and managed devices. Their cheapest plan has 1 user and 3 managed devices, which works great for small IT teams but won’t cut the mustard for larger organizations.

LogMeIn has unlimited users, but their lowest plan only allows 3 computers and the next step up is only 5. This is great for big IT departments but not if you plan to reach a high volume of remote PCs.

TeamViewer has more cost savings for their one-user plans compared to LogMeIn’s Individual plan. LogMeIn’s next plan up only allows 5 remote computers, while TeamViewers Business plan has 1 user but 200 managed devices.

Of course, the cost isn’t the only important factor. For more insight on both products, see the user review comparison here. Both TeamViewer and LogMeIn have high ratings and plenty of reviews.
