Overall Satisfaction with Gong

We use Gong on a daily basis to understand "what's going on" in our sales conversations with customers. It's great because it's easy to get up and running with basic functionality but the more you learn and understand, the more you can extract in terms of insights. Using Gong has especially been helpful in the last few months as we've adopted a new sales methodology globally. It allows us to measure adoption and outcomes and zero in on any coaching opportunities. We also get to hear very quickly our voice of the customer which is extremely important as it's a part of our company values.

Pros

  • Speed of search
  • Ability to filter into exact details
  • Transcribing English
  • Allowing for organization of themes of calls (or streams) in Library
  • Working faster by listening to only Qs asked, or only the customer, or only the seller

Cons

  • There doesn't seem to be an "AND" option in the search/filters, only "OR"
  • Search can be sensitive/fickle and give you a "warning, bad result" when you simply forgot to put a "
  • Too many features that are often rearranging so I get overwhelmed by what's most impactful for my team
  • Greater alignment with visibility to Gong snippets
  • Faster ramp as we can coach on opportunities that are causing deals to go south
Easy to get in there and use; it's more about after you're in there with the basics - how do you level-up?
Fairly accurate and actionable insights - for example when we hear feedback from the field on customer objections, we go into calls and understand it more before executing on a strategy. A blend of context and data.
I tried to use Salesloft conversation intelligence and was bumbling around in the interface. It also doesn't give me the insights and analytics like Gong.

It's just a necessary expense at this point if you want to seriously understand your customer and your team while driving measurable outcomes.
