It is being used across the organization. It is overseen by the IT Department, being managed by their security team. It addresses privacy and security concerns. Some individuals are chosen at random to assess our response to potential security breaches.
- Fake phishing emails.
- Interactive training.
- Breadth of subjects.
- Some of the training was perceived as insensitive to some groups.
- Some of the acting was very wooden.
- Would like specific training geared for research settings.
- Staff are more careful when opening up emails.
- They have become more sensitive to certain privacy and security issues.
- They ask more questions than they did before on the topic.
I have not used other training platforms, though KnowBe4 gives so many different kinds of training - videos, quizes, games etc. that it is able to engage with all types of employees.

Fresh content is always exciting so that we can give staff the option to refresh their skills and be aware of the cyber world's current threats. It is always exciting to be able to choose different types of training modules which keep the staff engaged in their training.
On a weekly basis, I checked the status of completion and was then able to follow up in a timely manner with the staff that needed reminders about their training.

The quality of the training is very good. The fact that there are so many training options it allows us to choose what topics are most relevant for our organization and it sensitizes the staff to pay attention to the items that affect us the most.
It is much more efficient to get all your training from one platform. The staff are accustomed to the format and questioning and then they are more comfortable answering questions and completing the tasks.
I am not involved in the purchase of this product, so I can not answer, though I am sure the University's IT Dept did research on other plat forms before they chose this one, not only for content but for the value as well.
Again, I am not involved in the purchasing of the product, though the fact that we still use KnowBe4 for a number of years already and did not reach out to another vendor, confirms that it is not just content but value that makes the University stick with this product.
KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training New Features
This aspect of the training has not affected my colleagues.
The more appropriate specific training for our setting has been noticed and encourages staff to be more engaging and involved in privacy and security of information.
I do not know, I would imagine so since the Director of IT did indicate that he would be doing weekly phishing testing.

Staff are busy and have to complete other questionnaires, surveys etc. You want to get their attention and keep it so they can complete the training. Since it is easy to use, that is the most important reason for us to use it, so that we ensure the completion of the training for all staff.
The evaluation process the way it was was sufficient. I was able to check out a number of options, tests, interactive, games, videos and choose the ones that were most relevant for our staff. Wouldn't change the way we chose the product.

Change management was a minor issue with the implementation - Change management was a minor issue regarding training, since the staff were informed about the training and then given the opportunity to take the training within a given time frame that was customizable to their work schedule.

Configuring KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training
We are a research facility, exclusive research and there was not training specific for our setting. So as much as there is training for hospitals, there was nothing specific for research facilities which would have been useful for us. As much as content was relevant, had to watch much that was not.

I do not know if premium support was chosen, since I was not involved in the purchasing of the product, I was involved in testing out the product. However, I do not believe premium support was chosen since it is a very user friendly product and just regular support would suffice.
There were some videos that were offensive to staff, and when I shared that with the internal IT contact who worked with the vendor, he got back to me stating he was surprised to hear this, since they did not get complaints from others. Going forward I stayed away from videos and stuck to questionnaires, games, etc.
