Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp

We've been using Mailchimp to kickstart our communication with our mailing list and, indeed, to build our mailing list. We were able to build a list, communicate in a constant way with our prospects and customers, and automatize some of the communications and delivery of lead magnets and similar content.
  • Pricing compared to the competitors
  • Ease of use
  • Feel
  • Automations
  • Sending limits
  • We managed to handle a list of 10000 contacts with ease.
  • We had the chance to start our business thanks to them.
  • We managed to be able to pay for their service because of the affordable prices.
ActiveCampaign is easier and more powerful than Mailchimp, but also way more expensive. There's a certain point in business where you might need something like ActiveCampaign, but some businesses could make it perfectly by using Mailchimp only. Overall, Mailchimp is slightly simpler in structure and it has fewer features available, but a lot of the features are present at about half the price.
Easy and nice interface, building emails, lists, including content in the email, link external content, testing the email, and automatizing simple flows was easy enough and powerful enough.
Mailchimp is not really an all-in-one, but more of a-lot-in-one that has helped us kickstart our business and keep contact with our customers outside social media and be able to track who was engaged, when, how, and for how long. It's an overall great place to start for a digital business like mine.
After we sold our first products, we were able to launch our community and integrate our lists with Facebook Ads by exporting them with ease. We managed to generate over 100K euros during the first year with Facebook Ads and Mailchimp combined.

Do you think Mailchimp delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Mailchimp's feature set?

Yes

Did Mailchimp live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Mailchimp go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Mailchimp again?

Yes

Someone who's starting with a mailing list will love the interface and the cheaper pricing compared to the alternatives on the market. If the person then needs complex automation or a full CRM, perhaps Mailchimp won't be the best option available, unless you're on a much tighter budget. Still, at those tiers, Mailchimp starts to become more expensive anyway.
