Overall Satisfaction with Miro

As a business analyst and BA lead, I use it as a key collaborative tool for business analysis, from the point of understanding business problems through process analysis and solutions. I also use it to define and communicate key requirements for technology and transformation. It is being used to support a number of teams across our enterprise and for projects that are in our division's portfolio.
  • Process Mapping: easy to use, simple and understandable
  • Revisions are easy, captured and flagged for other users to see
  • Downloading information from the whiteboard into Excel has been very helpful when I need to switch between formats
  • Sometimes it takes a while for all the whiteboard content to appear
  • Occasionally I have had to close and reload
  • Suggesting additional templates based on my recent use of templates might also be helpful
  • Reduced time identifying key steps in business process
  • Reduced time gaining consensus on business decisions, e.g., solution selection
  • Reduced time gathering meeting notes and providing teams with action items for follow-up on a project.
We had a "superuser" in our organization who had extensively used Miro in another company, and he was a great support as we got going. I also found the suggestion, online help, and templates were a big aid in getting started and learning how best to use the tool. I generally find SaaS tools to be easy to implement, and Miro proved to be one of those tools.
While the ability to create PDFs and download them to Excel is very valuable, I'd like the tool to interface with Visio, which is a standard mapping tool throughout our organization. Maybe this capability exists, but it is not apparent. Or perhaps there is a workaround? It would be helpful to know this.
It has greatly enhanced our ability to meet over discussions of business problems and pain points, display concepts visually and allow people to contribute and see that ideas are being documented for follow-up in real-time. We also find that visualization sparks new ideas as people are able to connect ideas figuratively. Something as simple as post-it notes and comment functionality helps improve communication among teams.

I like the Visio integration quite a bit in Lucidchart, and the templates are equally strong, but I had been running into performance problems with Lucidchart. Overall I find Miro much easier to use and collaborate with.
Primarily suited for scenarios in which I am engaging teams in the visualization of processes and scenarios, such as the process of taking data from one system and translating it to other teams or systems. It is also a key tool for live discussion, where notes and changes may be made on the fly while the stakeholders are present. I generally find that the best feedback occurs when we are working through a visual of a concept.
