Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I discovered MIRO during the pandemics. I was impressed at the speed with which I could use it.
I had to switch to Zoom for most of my business mandates as I am a facilitator for workshops and training sessions.
My clients were worried that having 2-3 or 4 hour meetings on Zoom would be boring!
Not so, thanks to MIRO!
They were surprised to see how polyvalent MIRO could be!
They expected a standard alternative to Post-it but MIRO is so much more!
Survey, affinity diagrams , planning, spreadsheets you name it you've got it!!!

I have been using MIRO for over 3 years now and I keep discovering new and inventive ways to astonish my clients.

And the best part : the learning curve is VERY short!
Some online tools are very powerful but also a bit complicated. I have no time to train my clients every time and those who know how to use the tool can get away with yet another "training" session on the tool. But no worry...
it does not happen because the tool is so intuitive !
An amazing tool!
An innovative tool!
A must for trainers and managers!
  • Adding comments
  • Copying and moving comments form one section to the other
  • Adding Frames , objects, spreadsheet on the spot, as needed
  • The possibility to cover (hide) some parts of the board so the participants can concentrate on one at a time
  • The possibility to lock to parts to protect the design
  • The templates are amazing
  • The ability to change the colour of the comments, objects as you wish and as needed
  • The spreadsheet function could use some refinement. Never going to be excel but adjusting width and height could be done more easily
  • Copying frames sometimes works ( along with the objects inside) sometimes not
  • Grouping objects could be done with a lasso tool instead of clicking individually each objects
  • No need to retranscribe post-it ! Admin assistant love it!!
  • Possibility to continue discussion and reflection after the meetings are over
  • Possibility to export as spreadsheet or image ...great!!!
  • Possibility to save as template ...this is such a game changer!
  • Some technophobic clients hate any new tools...this is no different...but even then, we make them love it eventually
  • The infinite zoom functions make some people literally dizzy
I implemented it.
I had to teach my clients on how to use it however and it was rather easy and smooth.
I organized a short tutorial session before the first few meeting using the tools.
People would either watch a video or come in 15 minutes early and I would ask them to complete a few task like adding comment, moving , object, and copying groups of objects.
As with any new tools there is a learning curve.
This one was rather short!
I had to make sure the new clients or participants were aware of the new tools.
I would generally show them how to use it and then ask them to complete a few simple tasks

Importantly, I would ask people who were already aware of the tools to help the new comers in the break out rooms during the workshop,

I am a consultant.
My "organization" is small...but my client base is large.
Miron proved invaluable during the pandemic and allowed me to succeed whereas a lot of my competitors were waiting for the pandemic to stop or went to the traditional webinar was...boring and early.
Not me!
Using Miro my meetings and workshops were lively and popular!
No comparison!
Much better in all aspects.
Mural is similar but after a few trial I went all the way towards MIRO.
Several other participative tools popped up in the first few months of the pandemics. I tried about a dozen for a while but always came back to MIRO

I also use mmhmm for a completely other reason.

MIRO RULES

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Almost all of the tools I use for live meetings and workshop can be adapted to the virtual white board.
Brainstorming session of course, but also planning session, SWAT reflection , needs analysis, process flow maps etc.
I even use MIRO during live meeting to keep the discussion going afterwards. Great tools for asynchronous discussion.

A typical use is for hybrid meetings when some people are in the room and others are remote. A few laptops for the live group discussions, a zoome connection ideally and and hybrid camera, but certainly a virtual board to create a history of our discussion.
