Overall Satisfaction with PandaDoc

We use PandaDoc within our HR department to send out documents such as certificates of employment, training agreements, and employment contracts that need the signatures of employees who are working from home. While we have our own portal which we can use at the office or with VPN, this cannot be accessed by employees off-site which is why we needed to source for vendors such as PandaDoc.

  • No auto-rename and auto-archive function.
  • Pricing suddenly changed which caused us to look for an alternative platform.
  • Time saved creating documents.
  • Time saved sending out documents.
  • Access to status report of documents that we sent out enabling us to follow-up.
We used the create templates since we already had our own and just needed to reflect it into PandaDoc; at the same time, we needed to manually add these since we couldn't just upload the template, especially those with grids. It would have been better if the template editor was more similar to Microsoft Word.
We used PandaDoc mostly for employment contracts and were able to benefit from the eSignature capabilities. Due to the pandemic, we needed to adapt to work-from-home set-up and contract signing became a challenge. Having used PandaDoc, we were able to automate the creation of documents, sending out, and recipient signing.
Documents needed to be manually created so there was also a challenge at first but compared to another platform that we are using, the documents created in PandaDoc appear more professional and "clean". They did not appear too "computer-generated" and the autofill function was not noticeable/visible in the documents.

We initially chose PandaDoc because it could do the basic things we needed to accomplish given the short amount of time we needed to search for a provider. Its price was the biggest factor, beating other competitors; however, with the sudden change in price, we needed to look for another platform.
We always want to make our job easier and PandaDoc was able to address the document creation and the sending out automatically piece; at the same time, everything else was so manual. We needed to download completed documents manually, rename them one at a time which took up a huge chunk of our time. Then, PandaDoc drastically changed their pricing which had us searching for alternative platforms.
