Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We primarily utilize Paylocity for our payroll and time tracking. But we have also just recently introduced onboarding, which has dramatically sped up our onboarding process in addition to limiting the need for paper forms. As a whole Paylocity is helping us to make sure that our employees are paid in a timely manner and accurately in addition to helping us reduce the need for time intensive paper forms.
  • Extremely useful at tracking data and employee history
  • Excels at reducing the need for paper
  • Creating a much more streamlined relationship between the employee and Payroll/HR
  • The only big area I feel needs to be address is the coordination between Time and Labor and HR/Payroll.
  • FMLA tracking could be better/easier.
  • Paylocity has reduced the amount of time we spend on onboarding immensely.
  • Paylocity has greatly reduced the amount of time spent with everyday items such as banking changes and time off requests.
We have just begun to utilize the many automation tools and have not had a chance to really evaluate the benefits associated with the automation tools.
We are currently not utilizing the community module.
Paylocity is set up to set itself to be at the top of its industry. Currently I would count them in the top five but in the future if they continue to improve as rapidly as they do, and address some of their shortfalls, they will easily compete with the best of them.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

Yes

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

No

Would you buy Paylocity again?

Yes

For a basic employer structure Paylocity excels in almost every aspect. The one scenario where I feel it is less appropriate is if, like us, we have several union groups with very unique contracts. We have found that several of the negotiated benefits such as how time is accrued or used, Paylocity does not have the functionality to allow us to track this accurately.
