Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop Enterprise
Easy to create a custom deployment with defined settings to install on required machines. We utilize it as an ad-hoc method for people with no specific mobile work hardware to easily WFH without letting unsecured devices connect to our network. Performance-wise its stands up really well and allows our users to perform any task on their work computer from anywhere without too much in the way of lag or degraded performance. Our users would typically use office and CAD-based applications.
Pros
- Easy setup on PC and through network firewall security
- Reliable connectivity
- Great performance
- Easy for end users to understand and utilise
- Easy management of users allowed access
- MFA protection for connecting to PCs and admin console
Cons
- Easy to forget to add non-admin users whe setting up a new pc
- Ability to block file trasnfers option would be cool
- billing in local currency would be useful
- Gives flexibility to users who want/need to work from home in emergency situations
- cost-effective - can easily manage the number of concurrent users assigned rather than license everyone
Can assign users to just the PCs they need. Accounts and logins for remote connectivity are all protected by MFA. Can force the users to use their windows logon to connect to the devices and automatically close dormant connections. These all work well but couldn't comment on how exactly secure they are other than they typically work without problems.
Setup was quick and easy. The client app needed proxy information to pass our firewall's web filtering and once that was set up connection is solid. The backend interface is really easy to understand and navigate. Extra licenses are easy to add and billed pro-rata to current billing so we can easily make sure we are not oversubscribed for our needs
