6sense is well suited in areas such as creating a campaign for our site. For example, "grill season". It makes it easy to create a campaign to advertise all our grills, best selling [grills] and create certain price updates/categories. It is not as useful on the product campaign, coupon and sales level, but still more useful than platforms we have used in the past.

I think it's a great tool to follow-up on a significant number of leads. We tried it on a small scale for straight appointment setting for our field reps, and it didn't work well at all

  • Provides instantaneous responses to online leads. This allows us for rapid follow-up that can't be achieved manually.
  • It acts as a screener so our team only has to respond to leads that respond to Conversica's outreach. This allows for streamlined efforts from our sales team.
  • Through Conversica's outreach we are able to secure appointments and new contact info.

Cons

  • Some of the terms used are a learning process for our team, but the site is easy to navigate.
  • Although the site is easier to navigate, it has a lot of facets that take time to learn where elements are saved.

  • I think some more can be done around tracking Salesforce activity. For us, if the data isn't in salesforce, it doesn't exist. We have recently come up with a custom way to track specific conversation success to a campaign with custom statuses to do this, but as I understand this isn't something any other customer is doing currently. I know the team is working on tracking opportunities to conversica success which will be interesting.

Tool is extremely powerful but comes with a heavy price tag. As long as we close more than 30 deals with year with Conversica's assistance it will be an easy choice to renew. If we don't we will have to figure out if these funds are best spent in other lead generation places.

Conversica has the implementation very well documented. In addition, to the documentation we were provided with a technical resource on the Conversica team to assist with getting the tool up and running within SFDC.

Alternatives Considered

Oracle is not user-friendly. It is outdated and confusing, also makes it hard to enter in and out of certain tabs/areas within the platform. 6sense is more in-depth and has more functional abilities compared to Salesforce.

Actually we didn't really vet any competitors out in the market place after we saw and trialed Conversica for 90 days. Their tool was easy to get launched within our SFDC environment and begin pushing campaigns through the tool. Had we spent more time vetting others we'd probably just be starting our 90 trial and would have missed out on the deals we've already closed using Conversica.

  • It is easier to monitor our ROI on certain campaigns, departments, subclasses, within our sites.
  • We have less issues with launching campaigns correctly and the site crashing on us while processing and developing these campaigns.
