Human Interest is well suited for any company that is looking to quickly implement a 401K plan. The interface is better than any other platform I've used during my career and is very easy to use. Any company that has a small team will find Human Interest very useful and helpful in operating a 401K program. It is especially useful if your goal is to automate the payroll process as it fully integrates with our payroll provider.

isolved is great for larger companies who want to have one program that can manage all of their payroll, human resources and time keeping needs in one. It flows together nicely and really does make everything more efficient. If you work for a small business you might not need or want all of the features that isolved provides, but I really think all businesses could benefit from a program like this.

  • Easy to use Interface: The platform is very easy to use both for administrators and Employees.
  • Integration with our payroll provider: When users make changes to their elections in HI, the changes automatically flow into our payroll platform simplifying our payroll process.
  • Automatic contributions: Contributions are automatically processed each pay period simplifying the process for our payroll team and reducing the potential for errors.
  • Low Cost: The fee structure is very transparent and we were able to craft a plan that kept fees low for our users which was a priority of our organization.
  • 3(38) fiduciary: We have a small team and it was important for our organization that our provider was a 3 (38) fiduciary as our team is unable to dedicate the time necessary to select the investments in our plan.
  • Enrollments are automatically processed when a new user is created in our payroll platform saving our HR team time creating new profiles.
  • There is zero paperwork.

  • Flexibility. Schedule templates can be created at departmental level and managers can be made responsible for maintaining schedules rather than HR. Time entries can be edited on multiple levels (punches or total hours worked). New security groups can be easily added anytime.
  • Reporting Power. TimeForce provides a significant number of standard reports for HR, manager and audit purposes.
  • Import Utility. It is very easy to update the system with new employment-related data through by importing .csv documents through TF Import Utility.

  • Support: We identified an issue with our configuration that did not match our agreement signed with HI. The issue was limited to the vesting schedule in our platform and it took multiple emails to have the issue addressed by HI.
  • Contributions: We have had periodic issues where a duplicate contribution may be processed by HI. To their credit, they have always fixed these occasional occurrences immediately and proactively.

  • Customer Service - My current reps are amazing (Michelle Maney & Sherri Schatzel) but it took some changes to get the right fit. Previously when with Performance I could call our reps direct & always get someone right way. If there was a big issue Pen Gaines was a phone call away & could handle most anything.
  • Start Up Team - We added a 3rd company informing the team we needed it soon (before yr end 2020), all rules should mirror other 2, and I offered to input the employees myself (and did). Even after contacting Pen there was nothing he could do to escalate the issue and we had to wait vs starting the year for 8 employees we were pulling from the other 2 on 1 payroll.

I don't have a decision in whether to renew the license or not, however if I did I would strongly recommend renewing the license, unless there were a system that would sync up with our payroll program, then I would lean more to the other program simply from a biased standpoint of it being easier for my position.

I have found as the administrator it is very cumbersome for most individuals to use and it is not very intuitive. An individual that is not technologically advanced will have difficulty using as well as those that are lazy and just do not want to learn to do it. The manuals they give you are not helpful for the web-based program. I had to create my own with pictures for most individuals to understand the system.

They have a general support email that doesn't provide a case when an email is sent. I had to email multiple times to have an issue addressed which was frustrating and impacted the rating above. Human Interest doesn't have specific account managers which means that it is especially important that the support team is responsive to questions, otherwise, it is unclear if a problem is being worked on.On the other hand, their support team proactively reached out to communicate that an employee of ours was eligible for an additional contribution as they were over 50 years old. Our payroll system had capped the individual's contribution at $19K which is the current year max for most individuals. Human Interest let us know about the additional contribution availability enabling us to quickly update the employee record for future payrolls.

Our agency used a 3rd party payroll vendor that was a partner of Infinisource iSolved so we didn't experience Infinisource iSolved support directly. However, our clients seemed to feel that the support was more than satisfactory. We never fielded complaints from them about their use of Infinisource iSolved or the service they received from it.

The system was very cumbersome setting up as well as time consuming. There were times I just wanted to walk away and sometimes I did have to get up and walk away for a break and come back with a fresh perspective. The setup took me over a period of two to three months getting it to serve the purposes that we needed it two. I am very intuitive when it comes to computer software however getting all the right buttons checked in order for it to do what I needed didn't always work.

Products Reviewed during our selection: Vestwell, Ubiquity, Fidelity, AspireOnline. We reviewed multiple products primarily focused on companies that could integrate with our payroll provider, had a modern UI, and had low fees. Human Interest checked all of the boxes for us as a provider and have delivered on the goals we prioritized when they were selected. The fees were the primary driver of our selection as we were able to create a plan that was able to reduce our employee fees which was the main priority when selecting a plan.

We have not used other Time and Attendance software except a scheduling system called Scheduler (Custom developed for our business). I haven't had the need to research other solutions as I have always been comfortable with the product itself as well as the support that you receive from QQest. Help is literally a phone call away and maintenance contracts are well worth the purchase price, especially in the even of an upgrade.
