Likelihood to Recommend Iterable is great for email marketers that are not advanced/technical in emails. They made it very simple to create emails and run campaigns. Everything about Iterable is very easy - from creating emails with drag and drop functionality, segmenting and creating send lists, and even setting up a journey. The only downside with Iterable is that it's mainly meant for larger companies. There are better platforms if you're using email in a very simple way.
Read full review It is nice to be able to double-check the HTML code easily. However, that being said, once we have the template structure and modules coded and rendered, we often do not feel that Litmus is as helpful because we have already verified that the HTML is functioning as intended.
Read full review Pros It makes designing and deploying great looking emails easy with their drag-and-drop technology and framework. Iterable allows for great customization and time-saving with the use of their handlebar snippets. This has revolutionized how we are able to monetize our editorial audiences using clear logic that helps us get the most for each of our conversion efforts. The various ways that you can run and view reports is incredibly helpful, and easy to customize. This means we can find most of the data we want and need across our various departments with their differing goals without having to piecemeal together crazy solutions or waste time reinventing the wheel. Read full review Emulation of 100s of email clients by pasting HTML email code into their builder The UI for navigating the build tools, analytics, and other functions are intuitive and easy to learn. They have amazing weekly newsletters that go deep into email trends, benchmarks, and very practical tips. They are well-written. Read full review Cons Some of Iterable's user interface in Journey is a little confusing. This is a personal preference. Their image uploading is very basic - but they are working on releasing a new version soon. It's difficult to look up a specific contact by only being able to search their email. I wish I could search by name without having to use segmentation Read full review It would be great if there was an integration where we could make necessary changes in Litmus and update Klaviyo. A better understanding of ways to optimize - things may be good as is, but what are ways that we can improve it for a better-sending reputation? Sometimes the app in Chrome is clunky. Read full review It's offering me more than any other email proof software I've heard of! I also really appreciate how Litmus gives back to the email development community via their content creation. I want better marketing and marketing email in the world, and Litmus is working towards that goal. So, yeah, they're good folks with a good product!
Read full review Usability Iterable very easy to learn and use. It's a great platform for both a new email marketer and a marketer that's been working in email for 20+ years.
Read full review Litmus has integrations that make the software an integrated part of my work every day. Being able to test right within my email builder is just brilliant. Daily I also use the web interface to review analytics and spam testing. Overall it is one of the pieces of software I use daily without any complaints or issues.
Read full review Reliability and Availability Iterable is there like 99.9% of the time. However, when it goes down, it grinds us to a halt. Most of the time, outages are an hour or less, but if that's at a peak time, it can be a nightmare. That said, when the worst does happen, there are frequent updates and an easy situation tracker that give you an estimate of how much longer you'll have to wait for the issue to be resolved.
Read full review We have never had a problem with Litmus being unavailable so I would say their availability is fantastic. There might have been one time years ago that the site was down briefly but it also might have been a server issue on my end. Either way, Litmus was back up and running in a very short time
Read full review Performance The API is super quick. The UI can be a little sluggish depending on what you're loading, but overall Iterable performs great. Iterable appears to do a good job of making processes async so that one action isn't blocking another.
Read full review As with all technology, there are inevitably use-cases where you are unable to get to your original goal without some good old-fashioned experimenting. Some situations will (and are) more urgent which complicates an effective integration of a new process or a new team using an existing process but the "issues" are regularly resolved by re-starting the process specific to when Litmus is introduced to a project. If it doesn't come out the way you're anticipating, run it again and verify there is an issue before declaring all is lost
Read full review Support Rating I've never experienced any issues with Iterable. As I and my colleagues have learnt the system and it's features, response to questions and advice from our account manager is always quick. Kevin knows the product well, and with the few tricky questions has hasn't been able to answer he's been quick to get back to us.
Read full review In-Person Training It was very informative one on one session for me. I was able to use Litmus without any issues.
Read full review Online Training It has all the required information.
Read full review Implementation Rating It was quick and easy to get up and running. We were able to use the platform not long after getting it up and running.
Read full review Alternatives Considered The visualization tools in iterable for creating journeys are so much easier to use and adjust than in
Marketo , Mailgun, or Mailjet. We have better performance metrics tracking in particular than in Mailjet or
Marketo . It is also easier to see where we have made mistakes in emails and to adjust the code visually than in any of the other platforms
Read full review For more in-depth QA and personalization needs, Litmus is the way to go. I believe that Litmus should be used in conjunction with a product like
Mailchimp or
Constant Contact to support your email development efforts. I would not use any one of these by itself if you really want to create an end product that can provide the greatest ROI and use for your end consumer.
Read full review Scalability We've never run into any issues with volume. Iterable is always able to handle everything we throw at it. We utilize webhooks and emails. Both perform very well. Webhooks actually perform too quickly and downstream systems need to be able to handle the volume throughput that Iterable can send.
Read full review With our enterprise account, scalability is not an issue. I have not yet seen or heard of significant issues with user access, API connections for integrations etc. This includes down time for "Scheduled Maintenance" as some providers call them, Litmus has the technology backing to support a global team with a 24-hour workday across regions
Read full review Return on Investment This is a hard thing to qualify with the short amount of time we have had on the platform and with the changes that have occurred since onboarding. iOS 15 was released, so we are learning new ways of measuring the ROI. The ease of integration with other tools has helped us begin to break into more personalized emails for our customers. We have really only scratched the surface and have so much farther to go!
