Considered Both Products
Webex Meetings
Chose Webex Meetings
Over the years following the COVID-19 pandemic, we have sustained a constant remote/hybrid presence using the Webex platform. We've learnt new remote ways to comply with safeguarding pupils at home, allowing staff to obtain a more excellent work/life balance and improve our …
Chose Webex Meetings
It's better, according to me, because first of all, it has better audio and video quality, and I think it's more secure than Zoom as it's a security services company, so they know what they are doing.
Chose Webex Meetings
Webex Meetings is one of its kind and always stands out of them. As it has a very unique software and user interface which is again very user friendly and easy to use even if you are a first time user of the product . Hence I always prefer Webex Meetings over others even after …
Chose Webex Meetings
I Believe both ZOOM and Webex are comparable, however, I am of the opinion that Webex excels in terms of video and audio quality. it is not a big difference but it is better. Additionally, I find it to be more user-friendly, with tools that are easier to access and utilize.
Chose Webex Meetings
Zoom is also a group product that offers different applications and is effective in its own term but recently or in the past there have been certain security concerns with Zoom so my personal choice is that I go with WebEx from the security standpoint.
Chose Webex Meetings
This is all about preference. For me Webex Meetings has everything you need, easy to use and can be downloaded quickly. I can use it on my PC or my mobile phone and move between devices. Security is important for me and the ability to lock my meeting for that added security …
Chose Webex Meetings
Webex is better than BlueJeans, Google Meet, and perhaps matches up with Teams in terms of ease-of-use and getting meetings started on time. Our company uses Webex because it’s a Microsoft Outlook company and many of the execs and tech teams prefer Webex. Cost-wise, Zoom may be …
Chose Webex Meetings
Webex has a very unique feature that I should note out and that is the fact that it has the best video output engines which enables it to deliver high definition videos, it also has very clear audio output engines therefore you hear the other user very clearly.
Chose Webex Meetings
Webex is very fast in integration with other software. It is very fast in delivering both video and audio information. Navigation is easy.
Chose Webex Meetings
It is in every way better. Better audio quality, better video quality, and more reliable.
Chose Webex Meetings
Webex Meetings certainly competes with Zoom as a leader in the online meeting/cloud software space. Some features and tools of Webex Meetings are superior to Zoom. Overall, Zoom's platform is a bit more user-friendly and makes it a bit easier for internal and external …
Chose Webex Meetings
The screen-sharing along with whiteboard to configure and build datacenter with teammates remotely is very easy using Webex Meetings platform.
Chose Webex Meetings
Webex has better integration capabilities than Zoom, including with other Cisco collaboration tools that we also use. It’s also more visually simple, which makes onboarding easier for new users, and encourages further use among existing colleagues. Webex meetings are also …
Chose Webex Meetings
[Cisco Webex Meetings] still has an edge on being a front runner of web conferencing tool[s]. I like the ease of use and the built-in feature to allow collaboration during the meeting. [A] security feature in place is such an important aspect now to provide the peace of mind …
Chose Webex Meetings
It easier for me to use Cisco Webex Meetings, you might say that I'm just used to it, since is the tool we use in our office, but I have the same feedback from customers.
Chose Webex Meetings
Webex Meetings was much more feature-rich and easier to use than any of the other platforms I've used or evaluated.
Chose Webex Meetings
While I am not a constant user of Zoom conference suite, I have used this method for different companies, and compared to Webex it is extremely clunky when joining a meeting. In the past, it has frequently frozen, or I have had to run an additional or temporary program in order …
Zoom Events & Webinars
Chose Zoom Events & Webinars
Zoom is a cut above the other tools because it just works, the mobile app is excellent across all platforms, it integrates very well with calendars of any kind, Apple CarPlan, and the two license models work as tiered licensing should. The other platforms are okay, but haven't …
Chose Zoom Events & Webinars
Zoom is easier to use from a technical and administrative level. The A/V quality is just much better and more stable.

Cisco
The seamless integration with email platforms we use in our
organization. The interoperability with other conferencing platforms from other vendors, e.g., Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, or Zoom meetings. Hosting meetings with people from as many as three or four different
organizations (clients, vendors, partners, etc.) and WebEx made it super
easy for all the invitees to join from wherever they were. Although it was ideal when everyone had the computer app installed, some users occasionally would have to join via a browser window, but that
only took a few moments to resolve itself. A few times, it would freeze or experience technical issues.

I had an issue with my calendar syncing to Zoom Workplace for a while, that was annoying, but it resolved itself someway. Maybe an update. The invite feature is week when in a call, my team never receives them, I manually always have to send a link. I also do not get Zoom call notifications so I am late to meetings often. Too much work to manually find that feature, wish it was a default setting like Teams. I prefer Zoom Workplace because I think it works faster, is smoother, and I prefer the video settings UI over other platforms. Everyone else makes it too complicated to change backgrounds or blur as necessary. The adjustment for low light is also a huge win.

Pros
Cisco
  • We have a global and diverse team with different devices and operating systems. Webex works smoothly on all of them and everyone can collaborate in real-time saving a lot of time and effort, making meetings much more productive.
  • We can easily capture discussion points and decisions for future reference, without the need for manual note-taking. It helps us in smaller group discussions and brainstorming sessions within the main meeting itself.
  • I can even tailor the layout to suit the meeting's purpose and agenda. Webex is intuitive and easy to navigate, even for non-technical users, joining and scheduling meetings is a smooth process.

Zoom
  • Simple user experience--very intuitive for attendees to join, interact with Q&A
  • Adaptable and feature rich--very easy to set up Webinars for different use cases with features like registration, Q&A, practice session, HQ video, branding and virtual backgrounds, polls/quizzes, post-surveys, breakouts, resources, production studio, FB/YT Live, captions/translation, etc
  • Aesthetically pleasing--new branding options (such as webinar wallpaper, custom backgrounds, and name tags), plus the recent addition of the Production Studio feature, means it's easier than ever to produce beautiful and appealing webinars.
  • Panelists, practice session, and backstage--Zoom makes it easy to set up webinar panelists ahead of time, and get them into the room early for a practice session. The new backstage option is even more powerful than the practice session feature.
  • The bleeding edge--Zoom is continually adding powerful new features for Webinar rooms, where other programs leave you with the same ol' stagnant feature set.

Cons
Cisco
  • At times, the meeting audio/video can get glitchy if there are a lot of attendees online and using bandwidth.
  • Sometimes, it is hard for my prospects to join the meeting without downloading software or can't get the audio to work for some reason.
  • Hard to navigate attendees while presenting yourself.

  • I will we could add registration disclaimer language to the Webinar templates.
  • Some of the customization and setup features are difficult to find.
  • I would like to add someone to help me run webinars without paying for them to have their own webinar platform. We should be able to buy one platform and both of us log into it and setup and run webinars from it.

Because Webex Meetings is known for its consistent performance, with high quality audio and video that works well even in low bandwidth situations. This makes it a dependable tool for both small and large meetings without worrying about technical glitches. Also, the platform is easy to navigate, both for meeting hosts and participants. Features like screen sharing, chat, and breakout rooms are intuitive

We will be renewing with Zoom as long as it continues to meet our needs for client and lead outreach needs in a robust manner. With little error and an easy to use interface, Zoom has met our needs and exceeded our expectations. The cost is right and with a short learning curve, Zoom has been an easy decision to make and maintain.

Usability
Cisco
Webex Meetings does not provide enough audio feedback for users with visual disabilities to properly navigate the tool. Students, faculty, and staff who are blind or have low vision may not be able to use Webex Meetings. Users with motor disabilities that navigate via keyboard, may not be able to navigate the web conferencing session enough to participate fully.

Zoom Events is complex, but gets "almost easy" with experience and good guidance. I tell people, "Hosting a meeting is like driving a car; hosting a webinar is like driving an 18-wheeler; and hosting a Zoom Event is like flying a commercial airliner." You need experience, training, and ongoing guidance to be good at Zoom Events. Zoom has staff that knows everything there is to know about Zoom Events, but finding them and reaching them isn't easy. There aren't many consultants out there that are affordable and experienced.

Reliability and Availability
Cisco
So personally I have never faced any kind of meeting unavailability issue while scandaling meeting with WebEx the bandwidth is really good and in terms of application performance the same is my opinion what I mentioned for availability it is good and the objective of communication is quite fruitfully achieved with a simple and effective product like WebEx which is often bundled with the purchase of course which is which we have at our company and great discount is being offered so it is easy on our pocket. I really don't have any specific errors which have faced I should mention over here the operation or application uses is quite smooth.

Zoom [Video Webinar] has online web portal where user can take control of the meetings and their settings. It provides details of all the meeting happened and also provides participants list. It has support for webinars and recording also. Zoom [Video Webinar] gave special cloud permissions for paid users also from web portal and that can help in saving disk space.

In-Person Training
Cisco
It was straight to the point and very informative. effective training often includes clear explanations, hands-on practice opportunities, time for questions and answers, real-world examples, and follow-up support. If you're trying to assess the quality of a specific training session, you might consider these factors. For organizations looking to assess the quality of their in-person training, it's best to solicit feedback directly from the participants. This can be done through anonymous surveys or feedback sessions, enabling the organization to gather firsthand information and improve future training sessions accordingly.

It was very interactive and well explained. The trainor is very much knowledgeable of the product. He was able to answer all of our inquiries in a timely and professional manner. There were lots of exercises done during the duration of the training to ensure that we have a better view on what to expect from the product.

Implementation Rating
Cisco
That we needed complex implementation that we didn't get tells me 2 things: 1) the product was not designed in a way that "just worked" like some of its peers (Zoom / BlueJeans) and 2) had our company defined actual user needs and validated / verified that they had bought something that matched those, we would have pursued features / designs more closely aligned with what the product actually does: screen share, sometimes video, definitely VOIP audio (always an option regardless of license), and easy recording and retrieval of meetings.

The Deskpro system can be integrated very well into the Webex solution and can also be used by employees from their workplace. The integration is simple and can be easily implemented. Unfortunately, the loading times of the devices and the delay are a bit annoying and can be seen as a bit negative in everyday use.

Go To Webinar has been the standard in webinar technology for years. But it's a terrible experience from an administrator's perspective. You start the program, and 15 windows pop-up, giving you all sorts of configuration choices. In order to operate a webinar smoothly, we needed 4 members on the team (1 speaker, 1 moderator, 2 people managing any tech unknowns and set things up.) Zoom Webinar can be done with a single person because of how easy the options are. Also, put GoToWebinar in front of somebody new - and watch them fumble for 15 minutes trying to figure out how to present. Zoom, there's not much to explain. Everything is clearly laid out with a clean UX design.

I can speak to multiple departments at my organization using Webex Meetings. It has been, and continues to be, our longest online meeting software. It has been deployed across the organization and each department uses it. As I have mentioned, our monthly all-organization Town Halls are hosted on Webex. We have also used it to broadcast a panel-based speaker event.

Return on Investment
Cisco
  • The costly nature of individual accounts across multiple schools made it difficult to maintain the budget when our student population grew exponentially.
  • Often communicated to clients and stakeholders that we were a trustworthy and elevated provider.
  • Limited engagement and interactive features with students often contributed to complaints around student engagement and buy-in.

  • I am a user of Zoom, not an administrator, so I can't speak to it's ROI outside of how it effectively allows me to conduct presentations with groups of people I wouldn't normally have in the same room.
  • Zoom has a very positive impact on keeping me connected with my colleagues in a more human way through the use of video and audio when we are conducting meetings. This helps strengthen work relationships so there are less misunderstandings from email or text only systems.
  • Zoom has allowed my company with remote employees all over the place, in addition to multiple physical office locations, conduct quarterly meetings with our CEO that make everyone feel involved.
