Rapportive was acquired by LinkedIn in 2012. In November 2017, LinkedIn released a new version of Rapportive called Sales Navigator Lite for Gmail, which makes some features of LinkedIn Sales Navigator accessible from within user's email inbox. A subscription to LinkedIn Sales Navigator unlocks premium features in the Chrome extension for Gmail.

LinkedIn Sales Navigator continues to be a key part of our marketing strategy. We use it to manage our lead pipeline, connect with new potential customers and manage our existing clients. We started using Sales Navigator because our sales reps weren't as connected as they should be on LinkedIn. The product allows our reps to be more connected, and we're finding more opportunities by being more connected.

LinkedIn Sales Navigators provides different services than most other products and has the unique ability to take advantage of LinkedIn's proprietary user data. That also comes with a drawback that the system is dependent on users to update their data in a timely and accurate manner in order to get the correct intel back to users. I'd recommend other products like Seamless.ai or MediaRadar for more accurate and updated contact information, but also to use LinkedIn Sales Navigator for Gmail for better market and company intel, timely pitching opportunities and seamless integration between Gmail and LinkedIn.

LinkedIn Sales Navigator for Gmail has a good interface, budget-friendly price, and ease of access. The top three that I do love when using or looking for a software. Plus not to mention the fact that I got used to it and I don't think that switching from a software to other software is ideal and economical.

I prefer LinkedIn Sales Navigator for Gmail over 365 Data Science simply due to the ease of use and publishing of valuable data which is what I need. I've found that 365 Data Science is not as easy to use and has more complications/less user-friendly to use as a person who doesn't have vast levels of experience in accessing data.

The integration to my inbox, together with LinkedIn's data is almost incomparable. Integration with Salesforce is so solid that Data.com does not offer an advantage being part of SFDC.

Kv Core and Konversion have a Smart CRM which rivals Sales Navigator. However, they do not reach out into the world...they are in my own sphere only. Sales Navigator helps me to discover other leads, not just service or keep them top of mind. The Business to Business integration is superb because it can tell you what companies are searching for services like mine.

Again, I was not the decision maker in this process. It seems that LinkedIn Navigator is the best, because of the bandwidth of people on LinkedIn that one can search from. Sometimes finding their information to get in touch with them can be difficult, which is why we supplement with other tools to collect email, numbers, etc.

I used HubSpot and Rapportive at the same time. They are both helpful in contacting leads. The advantage of Rapportive is its add on and panel that automatically displays the information of your leads. You can also email and track a leads even if you don't open the full page of Sales Navigator.

To the best of my knowledge the only other product similar to rapportive is Crystal. Rapportive I like as it's more directly integrated with LinkedIn which I feel allows for a more seamless process. However Crystal is always available in my Google inbox which makes every day email reminding much better/easier.

I started using Rapportive over 5 years ago because it was free and easy. Since then, HubSpot has added some similar functionality into the email interface, however it uses CRM and lead intelligence data instead of data from LinkedIn (would be nice to have both). I've lately noticed some bugs where the Rapportive panel just doesn't appear.
