Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

ADP is used primarily for our payroll and tax purposes for our organization. It is being used across our whole organization, however it does have it's drawbacks, but it does not address any business problems.
  • While processing our payroll, the reports I use to verify my information are so much faster now, so much so that our payroll processing time was literally cut in half. The speed of the reports I get and create, are unbelievable compared to 2 years ago, when it would take at least 15-45 minutes to become available to view
  • It would be nice if their associates could answer questions instead of leaving you on hold for 40+ minutes at a time, supposedly looking for someone else to help them.
  • Constantly changing the "look" of ADP. These constant changes cause issues because instead of making things easier to navigate, it makes everything very difficult to find due to areas constantly changing.
  • The process of requesting a corrected W-2 is very time consuming, and some of the questions you need to "answer" do not coincide with the problems you are having. If you answer it the way you believe is correct, it throws another issue in the mix to prevent you from doing what it is you need to do!
  • When you realize you are talking to someone who does not understand your issue, and they transfer you to someone else, and they transfer you over to another department. All the while you think you called the correct department to begin with. Then when you finally get ahold of someone, you are placed on hold for 20-30 minutes. It's very frustrating to not get an answer from anyone, who you call.
  • I would love to see ADP have an easier layout instead of all of these "sub-category" layouts. If you want to see tax info... click on an icon for taxes... don't send me to 3 to 5 different screens to figure out where they are.
  • That is above my paygrade, I honestly could not tell you
I do not use it for that. I am limited as to what I use Workforce now for.
  • Bernard Health
It took quite a while. When Bernard said everything was a go with ADP, it did not happen. It took close to 12 months for things to work.
I did not select ADP, it was here when I got here. I would prefer to use another payroll company.

Do you think ADP Workforce Now delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with ADP Workforce Now's feature set?

No

Did ADP Workforce Now live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of ADP Workforce Now go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy ADP Workforce Now again?

No

I am not impressed with how they run their support center or their help. Most people I tend to speak with are always placing me on hold to "ask their supervisor" questions and I am stuck on the phone for long, and I mean long periods of time. Like today, I called to get an answer to work on a W2 issue, it took over 1.5 hours, more than half of that I was placed on hold. It's sad that they charge service fees almost everything, when it should be included with their basic customer service.
ADP used to be a good, well-rounded company to process payroll. However, they are more focused now on making things look "pretty" or more "high tech". Every new "update" is a stressful experience for me, because every time, and I mean every time, ADP makes a change, it is rarely beneficial. They have made things so complicated that it's virtually impossible to appreciate the system.

COVID-19 Response

I will admit they did a good job of that. They had all of the codes ready to go and were accurate with them. But I honestly feel that if they did that with everything they did for the companies, not just what the Government wanted... they would have better reviews.
This doesn't really affect my department. I cannot answer it.
It was good. No other comment.
I honestly do not know. Most employees at my company are not allowed or supposed to use them unless it means to work from home.

Using ADP Workforce Now

Whenever they make "changes" or "Enhancements", it just buries things that used to be easy to find. What I mean is these changes make things more complicated to find, or they change the look or capability of other screens that you need. There is no easy avenue to find anything anymore... too many subgroups. It's frustrating and to come in one a payday, just to find that "new Enhancements" were made over the weekend, causes a LOT of undue stress for me.
ProsCons
Consistent
Convenient
Do not like to use
Unnecessarily complex
Difficult to use
Not well integrated
Feel nervous using
Lots to learn
  • Reviewing pay stubs for employees. Nothing else is easy or elegant.
  • Learning how to process payroll. The format changes they made a couple of years ago changed the whole look, so it took me a while to figure out where I need to go to do certain processes.
  • Checking PTO accrual balances and making adjustments
