Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

Ohio Living is using ADP Workforce Now across the entire organization. We are using it for timekeeping, time-off requests and scheduling, employee profile management, and more I am sure that has yet to be rolled out by our HR department. The switch to ADP Workforce Now has only been fairly recent at Ohio Living within the last 6 months.
  • The request off feature is particularly useful.
  • Time card reconciliation by the employees is great to increase individual responsibility for their own pay and time.
  • Initial usability is difficult. Learning to use the different functions was not very intuitive.
  • There could be some additional guides or pop-up info to help on each page or to describe each function.
  • I appreciate how it has instilled more of a personal responsibility in the frontline staff for their own hours, pay, and accumulations.
  • This heavy reliance on mobile phone app use, while very much a need for the modern workforce, leaves some older employees feeling out of control of their own job. I have several employees who lack the tech understanding and need to be shown every week how to approve their hours using a computer.
ADP Workforce Now is clearly very scalable with the proper support staff for training in its use. The issue we had with our implementation at least early on was not enough training in its uses and various functions. This was because our rollout staff themselves did not have enough time or training it its use. With all things a little bit of time invested in training properly on the front end leads to better results in the long run.
I don't know the answer to this question as the decision was made above the facility director level at our corporate office in Columbus.
ADP Workforce Now is better in almost every possible way that I can see. Although a couple of the others may seem a bit more intuitive at first, their comparative lack of functionality explains it. I hated working with HotSchedules--it was truly terrible for our purposes. At least ADP Workforce Now can be adapted as needs arise.
In the limited experience that I have so far, ADP Workforce Now seems well suited for a central place to track time-off requests and accumulated hours. in the past, we had a somewhat archaic and convoluted system that involved several programs that would not speak to each other. ADP Workforce Now might not be as appropriate for onboarding new employees as there are usually many questions that are not easily answered with a chatbox or a FAQ section, some face to face interactions are better in those situations.
