Use Cases and Deployment Scope

ADP Workforce Now is being used by the entire organization; we utilize the ATS function, payroll, benefits, learning and development, and performance management modules. ADP Workforce Now has consolidated our HR and payroll functions to create a seamless candidate onboarding and employee services experience. It also allows us to use one platform that employees can use for the ESS, which empowers them to get information through the system as opposed to through HR.

Pros and Cons

It is easily customized to fit the needs of any industry or company that has specific payroll and HR needs.
It is an easy system to navigate for both administrators and users.

A more robust learning and development library and curriculum.
Reporting--building reports can be difficult.

Return on Investment

Empowered employees to know that they have their employment information at hand.
It has allowed our org to save money on other programs that we were using prior to investing in ADP Workforce Now.

Scalability

ADP Workforce Now can be customized to fit what a company's current needs are and what they will need in the future.

If you are only interested in a simple payroll and HR function in 2017, you can have that, but if you require an ATS and a recognition platform in 2019, you can add those features as well.

It literally has all the bells and whistles, and is a brand that you feel confident and secure in.

The integration for benefits administration was a long process as we had to involve our benefits carriers and broker. We started by confirming that the carrier connections could be made so that employees could enroll online and that any changes would be processed seamlessly. It wasn't difficult to achieve as we had a dedicated integration specialist driving and supporting the integration; they provided us with a detailed timeline of events and what our responsibilities were regarding the integration.

Alternatives Considered

Paychex Accounting Online and Paylocity

ADP Workforce Now is a robust system that has a lot of features for every size company in any industry. I didn't feel that the other products could do what ADP Workforce Now could do for us.

Likelihood to Recommend

I recommend ADP Workforce Now for a company that is growing or is medium/large, that is looking to have all HR/payroll services in-house, where both HR and finance, along with managers, can use the system to manage administrative tasks as well as design for strategic people goals such as performance management and workforce planning.

I don't think ADP Workforce Now is appropriate for small companies that are only looking for a simple payroll system.
