Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

Great insights at my fingertips. Blackbaud NXT allows me to take the information I use the most and move it to the top of a donor profile so I can quickly review who I'm contacting. The mobile interface is clear and easy to use, and the clickable contact information helps me work quickly and efficiently when running down an ID list. The dashboards and workflows make my job easier and take menial tasks like reporting off of my daily plate. I create a dashboard or workflow and let NXT do the rest!

Blackbaud NXT's wealth ratings and the way they are displayed allow me to quickly assess a donor's capacity and likelihood, allowing me to focus on donor's that are most likely to make the gift; The years of consecutive giving, lifetime giving and total assets all work together to give me a snapshot of a donor's affinity and capacity.

I've done both online and in-person trainings for RE NXT. The online trainings are great because you can focus on areas you know need improvement and not sit through things you already know. I've been in RE environments for nearly a decade so much of it is not needed, but NXT online training helped me better understand the unique features and capabilities of NXT. Training was easy to understand and examples helped show how it could impact my work immediately!
We use both NXT and the original Raiser's Edge. They both have their pros and cons. Original (database view) has more robust querying available, but the display is awful and it takes a lot of hunting to find the information you need. NXT is more streamlined and efficient, but lacks a level of detail and capability when it comes to reporting. Blackbaud CRM can be customized to each organization, which is great, but it means that it isn't often translatable between different organizations. Salesforce CMS is great, but lacks the fundraising focus that makes Blackbaud products so strong.

Excellent for working "from the road." There are things that you can't do in NXT, but it works for most scenarios if you need to quickly look up a donor, type up a contact report or double-check gift history. The reporting lists aren't as robust as database view/regular Raiser's Edge. Applying filters is a bit time consuming and I always go into database view if I need anything more than the most rudimentary report.
