Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use it to organize and synthesize thinking. Miro is a collaborative tool that allows me to engage with a variety of stakeholders while also ensuring the conversation is productive. In my experience, everyone who uses it feels it is hard at first, but conceptually it is easily understood through a few minutes of usage.
  • Collaboration.
  • Communication.
  • Synthesis of Ideas.
  • Better tracked changes and comments differently.
  • Hierarchy of information becomes an issue.
  • Not a widely accepted tool yet. Hope it will replace Slack.
  • Creates much better alignment across users.
  • Yet another tool people have to learn.
  • No meeting minutes required - notes/thoughts are taken as they happen.
It should replace slack as a collaborative tool. It is yet another platform people have to use, which can be frustrating.
It is a link to another platform. Not part of the natural flow of work for many of the collaborators I work with currently.
Yes. We are able to share thoughts and synthesize very quickly.

Well suited = Group meetings, workshops, personal use - working through a presentation. Not suited for = older users.

Using Miro

  • Teaching
  • Working
  • Writing
  • UX Design
  • Hold workshops with 12 students at a time
  • Organize curriculum across our entire department.
Makes teaching more engaging and fun. Students take to it. It works and has similar functions as other tools they use, but with an emphasis on collaboration and discussion. It has replaced slide presentations, and I can't recommend this tool enough.

Evaluating Miro and Competitors

  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Product Reputation
  • Prior Experience with the Product
The share function is my favorite. I can send boards to anyone, and they are free to edit.
I would not change my evaluation and selection process.
