Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is being used across the organization to facilitate remote work. I believe people use it for many different use cases, from workshopping, brainstorms, organizing technical flows, and so on. It allows teams at large to problem solve together and bring in more opinions in an easy, visual, and user-friendly manner.
  • Brainstorming with visuals and external links and documents.
  • Organizing workflows.
  • Creating flexible roadmaps.
  • I wish there was a way to hide other people's stickies initially to minimize distraction.
  • Sometimes it's easy to create objects you weren't meaning to.
  • Shareability could be more intuitive.
  • Reduced project completion time,
  • Improved productivity.
  • Streamlined project documents.
I wish Miro was integrated with Google Hangouts since that is what my company uses for meetings. I think the integration with Slack could also be stronger – I'm actually not sure what the Miro app in Slack is supposed to do. It would be nice to have a way to export key information from Miro into Google Docs or Sheets.
I used Miro separately before we integrated, and when we did integrate, I barely noticed. I'm glad there weren't any additional steps that had to be taken to get my existing boards incorporated into the company account and that I am still able to control access of other colleagues to my boards.
It makes it easier to talk about ideas and projects with multiple moving parts. We can align different workstreams with dependencies and allow everyone to collaborate in real-time. Miro feels both engaging and encourages documentation in a way that simply talking and note-taking don't. I think it has been a great solution to help jumpstart new projects and initiatives.

I initially used Miro to facilitate team brainstorming, which has been helpful especially because we are able to add images and links to other documents so easily. It's helpful to be able to keep and see everything in one place before we start streamlining and paring down our ideas. I also enjoy using Miro to visually put together my thoughts on things like the organization of responsibilities, workflows, and project planning. I have found it a little less helpful for workshops and retros in the sense that you can always see what others are typing and it can be distracting.
