Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

Recruiting, Onboarding, HR, Payroll modules. Our business problem was that all documentation was paper based and all processes were manual and poorly documented. This is our first HRIS platform and it has streamlined and automated so many processes for us. Our employees (49 count) are positive about the platform and ease of use.
  • Position management
  • Payroll
  • Employee self-service
  • Applicant tracking
  • Separation of service
  • Compensation management
  • Customer implementation
  • Consistency between pages (buttons, terminology)
  • More consistent new hire procedures
  • Improved visibility into applicant pool
  • Less paper
  • More workflow automation
  • Better reporting
Paylocity has automated our payroll, scheduling, and time off requests. Supervisors have more insight into their team and the payroll financials. Employees are able to update their personal information and direct deposit. Data is in the cloud instead of my file cabinet. Employees are able to share their background, skills, and interests with colleagues on their profile.
Surveys are easier to create and distribute through Paylocity compared to SurveyMonkey and Google Forms. Exit interviews through the workflow process is terrific. We plan to implement Community and Peer Recognition in the next six months.
Paylocity met our defined criteria for product features, ease of use, pricing, and access.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

Yes

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

No

Would you buy Paylocity again?

Yes

Paylocity is a good comprehensive HRIS platform. Product integration with background checks, Indeed, eVerify and tax payments is fantastic. More effort into graphic design for established features/modules would be appreciated. Sometimes SAVE is at the top and other times it is at the bottom. Some tasks require clicking save too many times and other tasks don't require clicking save at all. Some reporting can be zipped but the standard payroll reports cannot be zipped. Why haven't these code differences been synced?

Paylocity Support

Overall support is fine. It depends on who answers the question. I only call support on the phone if I'm in the middle of processing payroll and have an issue. I email support for other questions to keep record of the conversation. My sales rep is fantastic and never stops working.
ProsCons
Quick Resolution

Knowledgeable team
Problems get solved
Support cares about my success
Quick Initial Response
Escalation required
My Sales Rep has gone above and beyond when issues get too complicated. I have had some implementation setup errors that took many months to resolve. The sales rep responded to every email and escalated service support for me.
