Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Online Advanced
We are a small company, so QuickBooks is being used by only a few users. We required an accrual-based accounting software that two users could conduct day-day operations with and others could reference.
- Bank Account/Credit Card linkage saves a lot of time.
- Easy to search for many different transactions, customers or vendors.
- Integrated bill-pay is extremely time saving.
- Primary dashboard lacks customization abilities.
- Like any new software, has a slight learning curve.
- Some commonly required information can be difficult to find.
- As owner, most of the benefit has come from time saved.
- Current cash position is more accurate due to account linkage.
- Price is similar to other accounting software.
The software is relatively easy to use, but there is no magical implementation process. I don't fault QuickBooks for this, but it is something to be aware of. You will need to spend considerable time making sure your account balances align with your previous statements. I did not find much advantage to QuickBooks compared to other software in this regard.
QuickBooks has been extremely reliable as a cloud based software. I have only had one instance where I could not immediately access our information. This has been a major advantage over the client-server software we previously used.
We don't have any industry specific considerations that QuickBooks specifically addressed. Unfortunately, there is no way to align our licensing process (sales) with this accounting software.
- Sage 50cloud Accounting (formerly Sage 50 Accounting)
QuickBooks has been a significant upgrade over Sage50. We have not encountered any of the stability or licensing issues we encountered with Sage. The software is also much faster and easier to navigate. There are certain pieces of information that used to take much longer to retrieve from Sage.
