Acquisio is ideal for marketing agencies, especially those that focus on serving a specific market. If your Agency has access to client data, depending on the data, Acquisio's software could be a powerful way to deliver that data in the form of online ads. Acquisio might be too powerful for a small business looking to manage campaigns in-house.

Bing Ads

Bing Ads is definitely worth testing and scaling up if you find success with the platform. Traffic volume is lower than AdWords for nearly identical campaigns, bids, etc. Conversion to sale as a result of having less lead volume has often taken longer compared to AdWords. Organizations with smaller monthly budgets may find more success testing with less spend in Bing Ads vs AdWords.

  • On average we see a lower cost per conversion vs AdWords.
  • They offer an easy-to-use tool to import already proven campaigns from AdWords to Bing Ads.
  • The ability to integrate data directly into Excel is convenient.

  • They often experience technical issues, which makes us never want to use their internal tracking system.

  • The quality of traffic acquired from Bing Ads generally isn't as good as traffic from AdWords. Metrics like time on site and bounce rate reflect this when analyzing the traffic in Google Analytics. I attribute this to Google having better algorithms to detect click fraud and bots.
  • Bing Ads essentially copies AdWords feature for feature, but they roll their features out 3 or 4 months after AdWords has already implemented them. It would be nice to see more innovation from Bing Ads.
  • It would be nice to see Bing Ads roll out some new ad extensions and targeting options.

My current company uses Excel spreadsheets to generate more intricate and detailed reports. A product like Acquisio, while I believe it is a very good product, will not be approved by my clients in terms of metrics reported.

Within the interface there is an instant chat support feature that you can use to get help right away without having to pick up the phone or look for an email address. We have have an account manager who responds to emails quickly and is always helpful. Anytime issues require further tech support we are kept up to date on the progress of the issue and they are usually resolved the same day.

Bing has a smaller search audience, overall, than Google - but more than Yahoo Gemini. Bing Ads is one of the three major search platforms, though, and to exclude it from campaigns is to eliminate ~10% of the potential audience for a service or product. Its editing and keyword interface is similar to Google AdWords (familiarity with one will allow the other to be intuitively sued). It also offers the same comprehensive, granular data exports as expected on any search / advertising platform: upper funnel metrics, daily/weekly/monthly granularity, etc.
