SAP Commerce Cloud (formerly Hybris) is designed to help businesses sell more goods, services, and digital content through every touchpoint, channel, and device through their multichannel ecommerce and order management solution, available as a SaaS or on-premise.
We have found BigCommerce is great for stores of all sizes and is relatively quick to get a basic store to market. There is plenty built into the platform by default, although, some of the features favour the US market and others don't quite work. Product filtering should be included in all but the most basic level, there are apps that can do this but that adds bloat and can cost as much as you pay for BC in the first place. Many of the apps are overpriced for adding some really basic functionality which could easily be included and again each app you add slows down the platform and lowers the store's performance
In B2B scenarios for the primary orders, commerce cloud fits very well and have background services readily usable. In Searching it should give some more configuration based cockpit for the advance search configuration and custom attribute searching. B2B content management and promotions management is very easy from business perspective and helps to reduce the dependency on the development team.
Its structure which is based on the characteristics of Java Spring is very good, so you can better manage your tools and it is reflected quickly and very perceptively.
All the information stored is divided in an organized way and in the corresponding place according to its area; this allows us to locate it without any problem when looking for some data.
Simply, this software is very easy to use, it does not have unnecessary tools, and it does not have any specific function; all its functions are optimal.
Notifications - once you read, it would be nice if they could be marked as "read".
The discount codes, it would be nice if there were more options to choose from for narrowing down specifics for uses and maximum discount on dollar amounts.
Ability to make more fields mandatory at checkout.
We are really very likely to renew our use of BigCommerce. The reason I chose 9 instead of 10 is simply because of the hiccups we are running into with our POS. BigCommerce is excellent, but we may even want to take a step further and get into and ERP that can take care of everything. Since we are a brick & mortar store first, and eCommerce second, our POS is very important to our day to day operations
I truly enjoy leading Hybris development projects and participating in new feature development for the platform. I see huge potential for growth and hope to be instrumental in bringing Hybris to the bleeding edge of presentation layer technology.
I think that overall it has a great front end for the customer. On the back end, it takes a little spin-up time, but in just a couple of hours you can really have your head wrapped around everything you're going to need 99% of the time. It takes me about 5 minutes to train a new user on how to interact with customer orders.
The SAP Commerce Cloud product has powerful content management that identifies products, catalogs, and promotions. In addition, it has a feature where inventory is tracked integrated with existing ERP (SAP and/or non-SAP) systems. With SAP Commerce Cloud, we can enable transactions to trigger all processes to integrate with existing ERP systems. In this way, it is possible to manage the system from end to end.
Exceptional up time, free 24/7 customer service - and they are in the USA and actually speak English and can solve any problem! They are great to work with. Always easy to call in and get help.
All reporting is online and in real time, you can run comparisons, customer data, tax reports with just a click. No waiting. Export customers or inventory easily and update/re-import with another click
Because they are always there no matter how simple or complex the question is, if they don't know the answer they don't fake it and just make you go away feeling frustrated.. they get you to someone that does know the answer. I always appreciate their help and their honesty!
We have the right to open a ticket or submit request to SAP support teams for all the problems we have experienced. They also provide solutions for critical issues within 48 hours. In addition, the product has support documents such as a user guide and admin guide. In addition, there is a strong community of users. In this way, we can access solution of some specific problems that we have fallen on from there.
They have a comprehensive online help file system that makes it easy to do almost anything. They cover just about everything you'd want to do with your online store with images, clear descriptions and in some cases video. I will, however, say the videos should be a little more professorially done and not sound like the employees are doing it in their cubical.
A certified BigCommerce design and solution partner will usually comprise a team of highly experienced designers, developers and marketers. It is our view that in the vast majority of cases, this will pay dividends in the long-term - especially for those teams that could use the extra support.
Scalability of the product was good Seamless integrations were helped in reducing the implementation for the development team to integrate with the SAP ERP Product framework helped customer to customize and adapt the new features which were developed basis business processes and ease of customer experience. Deployment and creation of the build becomes very easy with the CCv2 setup.
We switched from Shopify due to the restrictions they implemented on our industry. While we spent tens of thousands of dollars investing in our Shopify store, we can't have them cutting us off anytime they want. We reviewed WooCommerce, but didn't like the storefront or backend. Plus it seems like Wordpress/WooCommerce runs into tons of hacking issues and bugs.
SAP Commerce Cloud has tight integration with the backend SAP allowing for our specific business requirements to be tied into the platform. The site user friendliness was intuitive and received nothing but positive feedback from the user community. Data integration and security were another key factors. The overall cost to support and maintain utilizing internal resources as much as possible and only supplement when needed.
Very easy to upgrade plans based on growth. Onboarding is fairly easy; however, it's a real pain for developers that the store owner has to add all the themes/apps or basically anything that costs money. It's hard to walk less tech-savvy people through this.
Generally, I've been very happy with SAP Commerce Cloud. I feel like it's a good solution for enterprise-level companies that do a significant volume of e-commerce. I do wish that the CMS was easier to use and that it was easier to integrate with CRM systems.
