I believe that it is better suited to Exchange Online or Google rather an on-premises mail servers. As a security company, we have stringent requirements around data privacy especially when engaging with prospects. It was a challenge getting internal alignment and approval of the technology, but now that it's in, we are pleased that we made the effort.

LinkedIn Sales Navigator

If you're working for a sales organization that focuses on tech-forward or enterprise companies, I think [LinkedIn] Sales Navigator is a fantastic tool. Reason I say that is because a lot of people in those fields are going to be on LinkedIn and are also active on the network which makes it a great tool for outreach. It's great to provide personalized outreach, like perhaps seeing a news article related to a prospect and following up with some marketing content from your company or just something in relation to the article/news. It's a great tool to help warm up your outreach. Even if a person doesn't get in touch directly via LinkedIn, they may have seen your posts and messages so when you call or email, they are already familiar with who you are and may be more open to evaluating your company's product.

  • Honestly as an AM I love it. Maybe more prompts for new users based on their role.
  • More integrations to larger partners, Slack, etc.
  • Maybe a way to build a database and send me alerts of calls that relate to my job based on.... not sure what factors, but for me... New products that we are launching and how my team is pitching them.

  • The tool does not allow for the export of list names, which is disappointing for a tool at this price.
  • LinkedIn's search is loosey goosey, you'll find that it includes names that just barely fit the criteria.

It's hard for me to give anything more than a 5 at this point. The primary reason is that we have only used it for a few months and I'm still getting a feel for the level of value it provides both to me and the team. In 4 or 5 months I'll have a better understanding of its value long term

You do not need anyone to walk you through the usage and process as it is very easy to determine on your own, even if you are not a technologically savvy person. I personally have not had too many major issues with Chorus, but the times that I have reached out to their customer support team I have always received great responses in a very timely manner. Their support team is trained in a very polite way and cares about resolving your issue. They are knowledgeable and helpful and the customer service line does not take long to connect to a real individual.

The tool speaks for itself, but the support is definitely a significant portion of why we use the tool. The company cares about their customer's success and it shows. I am unsure of the rollout, as I was not involved. I was an early adopter, and I have had a lot of success with the tool personally at multiple organizations, but I have no idea whether the implementation process encountered any errors. I can personally say that it works, and that I have not encountered significant issues with the tool since adoption, although a few issues like messages showing up as being unread even though they have been opened have been an on-again/off-again issues throughout the past few years. Overall, the company is doing a great job, and our implementation seems to have been effective.

I personally did not select Chorus, but it does a great job! I used to use Gong at my previous company, and I liked that too. I have found that Chorus' transcript tool does a better job of translating the script of the call

LinkedIn Sales Navigator

I don't believe that I've used other similar type tools. There is a software called Norbert that allows me to look up email addresses using the domain handle and the person's name, but I don't think that anything in particular can really compare to the number of people on the LinkedIn platform and the breadth of information it provides.

LinkedIn Sales Navigator

  • It helped me forecast a lot better. Sometimes not knowing who power is or who makes the decisions can deter a sale. By knowing who is someone's boss and then being able to connect with them or at least reference them during calls helps me know who needs to do what.
  • I've made a dozen sales by LI Navigator telling me an old prospect has changed jobs. I've reached out to those people and they pushed our product to new company. Having that information in an alert right when it happens is key.
