Seismic

Seismic provides tools that allow for a seller to send a customer facing presentation or document to their customers in bulk. Then, through the insights provided, a seller can go into Seismic and see which customers opened the document, what pages or slides the customer looked at, and for how long each customer viewed that slide or page. Now, the seller knows what product or service this customer is interested in, and can not only prepare with this information, but can also jump directly into this with the customer, so there is no waste in preparing for products the customer won't be interested in.

Zoho CRM

Using Zoho CRM alone or with minimal integration is the best way to use it for medium-sized businesses. It is ideal for customer management and lead generation, and it's a software service, so it's not reliable for privacy. FOR EXAMPLE, ZOHO CRM is ideally suited for simple CRM sales processes for a single company. The APIs are not well-tested and may have problems from time to time. It is less expensive than Salesforce or Salesforce Pro, but it supports fewer third-party integrations.

Pros

Seismic

  • Seismic allows for one location to store all relevant content so that associates are not having to spend as much time searching for what they need.
  • Seismic provides the ability to fully customize content such that one template can serve many needs with the simple ability to answer questions that drive the customization in the content. This customization can range from simple to quite complex depending on your level of expertise with the tool.
  • Seismic provides a lot of flexibility when it comes to organizing your content and how to make the experience of accessing that content unique to the needs of each user in the system.

Zoho CRM

  • Because of its Cloud-based services, we quickly access this from any device with an internet connection.
  • Zoho CRM saves our time by automating processes that help reduce manual data entry, eliminate redundancies, and accelerate our entire process.
  • The most enjoyable thing is that it provides real-time insights about our customers, enabling us to connect with them across channels easily.
  • Zoho CRM is best at managing and automating many functional areas, including marketing, sales, operations, and engineering.

Cons

Seismic

  • It's very difficult to edit/update the content in our LiveDoc because of the way it was coded by Seismic. They are in the process of helping us fix this problem, but it hasn't been ameliorated yet.
  • Responses to questions submitted via email are not always responded to in a timely fashion.
  • I know this is the same as the first bullet, but it bears repeating that the LiveDoc is laborious to update. The inability to edit content easily is a hindrance to our daily workflow.

Zoho CRM

  • It may be a bit overwhelming to navigate since there are so many choices available. I found it difficult to connect some possibilities to current relationships. We discovered a solution but it took a long time.
  • It has all of the functions that one could want, and even more. There's nothing significant missing, but there's a lack of social integration and service glitches depending on use and availability.
  • Its pricing is far out of line, and free features should be raised so that businesses may fully utilize CRM capabilities without financial concerns.

Zoho has been a wonderful tool for us for several years and there is so much more we can do with it. New features are released often which give a team like us the option to further fine tune our business process management techniques. I honestly couldn't imagine running our business not on Zoho.

Zoho CRM is very functional, but it can get complicated. It is not always clear where you go to customise settings. The settings screens have so many options. And when you're managing multiple tools, it is not clear which settings screens will contain the changes that you want to make.

I have never tried chatting/calling with Support for Seismic. However, from others that I have talked to that use Seismic in more of an administrative role, they have been easy to work with and are of great assistance. I think it's a good thing I've never needed to talk to support, as it means I haven't had any issues to this point.

I have not used Zoho support since I started with the company. Majority of my findings have come through knowledge base or Google search sites. Not saying the support at Zoho is bad, but I need things answered quicker than what my colleagues have told me they have gotten answered.

Take it slowly and meet often with your team to solicit their feedback. Listen to what they are saying so that if something is not clear, you can address it before they turn on the CRM. Also, whatever system you were one previously will not match Zoho CRM which is both good and bad. It's good as I know Zoho CRM will be better than whatever you're been using. Bad because it will require change and how you did things in your old CRM may need to be modified a little when using Zoho CRM.

Alternatives Considered

Seismic

Savo, Google Drive, Shared foldersSavo - was best in class a long time ago (and has since been bought by Seismic) - but required a lot of administrative work to setup and maintain. I had three people working on it full time to create pages and managing content. Shared folders and google drive are good to share content, but terrible at searching and tagging (not fully indexed and no tagging)

Zoho CRM

We looked at both Hubspot and Zendesk. And we liked both of them. They had the right features and enough customization options to fit our use case scenario. But we liked the pricing and the flexibility of Zoho [CRM] more. The other really major factor for picking Zoho [CRM] for us was the fact that we were already using Zoho Desk and planned on using Zoho Campaigns. Integrations with those two [products were] the deciding factor.

Return on Investment

Seismic

  • Seismic eliminates the time and hassle of sending out an email to colleagues with an attachment for a meeting. Plus, it eliminates the potential for someone being inadvertently excluded from the email.
  • A significant amount of time had to be dedicated to user training to increase adoption across the company and make the platform worth the investment.
  • Seismic has brought increased levels of productivity and efficiency to my company.

Zoho CRM

  • Great ROI! I enrolled in Zoho One which is about 1/4 the cost of another CRM I was using with far more functionality.
  • Awesome features! I've been able to manage 95% of my digital needs in Zoho which is a great time (and money) saver
  • Learning curve pros & cons. I was able to get up and running pretty quickly but there are SO many features & options I feel it will take me a while to take advantage of all it's capabilities
