Excellent, generally prompt support that's willing to go the extra mile. They've helped me debug problems even when they weren't even ultimately Linode issues, delayed maintenance periods on my servers when I've needed it, and provided clear answers to my questions. Seems like the people that do the support are quite knowledgeable about server tech, networking, etc.

The only knock is occasionally it takes support a bit longer to reply than I'd like (over 24 hours).

Almost all of our support cases have been resolved quickly and with lots of information what happened in our specific case. What also impressed is is proactive tickets their system creates when they see something going on on their site which could impact your business. Other hosting companies sometimes try to hide cases that might impact you.

Their customer support and more generally how they stand behind their service is the number one reason for my recommendation.

They answer the phone nearly immediately, reply to tickets quickly, and most importantly the first contact is always with a knowledgeable, helpful support engineer. They either fix the issues right away, answer your questions on first contact, or at least can give you an immediate and credible acknowledgment of the issues they're facing (as opposed to pretending they never heard of an outstanding issue, or walking you through useless troubleshooting and unrelated steps).

I've never seen anything close to the level of competence among support staff at other hosting providers.

Linode is always fast to respond and when problems do arise you are working directly with another human. Unlike other competing services where you spend your time frustrated and fighting with a chat bot, Linode gets problems fixed and is great at keeping their customers up to date with status on issues.

When I have had a question (rarely, but there has been a time or two), I received the answer I needed via Linode's IRC channel, or searches on the Internet via DuckDuckGo.

With other "big tech" cloud providers, even if you do reach someone, you usually wind up being assisted by someone that reads back from a script and actually *knows* very little. Most of their "technicians" are just people hired that can select from a flow chart to determine what the answer to the issue is, and as I have found working in the tech industry professionally since 1984, there are a lot of times when tech issues just don't follow the "flowchart" a Support Desk uses.

Their customer support is honestly the best that I have seen. Sometimes even if my issue isn't 100% related, even I think it's an issue with the service, they are willing to help just a bit to get me to a positive solution. They are responsive in a timely manner and aim to ensure that you are able to continue working!

Whenever we've had reason to reach out, support has been courteous, competent, and immediate. We haven't yet had many issues that call for support, though - that itself is pretty nice.

I have not really interacted with the customer support so it is going to be hard for me judge the overall support for Linode. This form however makes it compulsory for me to fill so I’m going to assume the customer support is great.
