We have just started setting up Procore so we can submit construction plans and redlines to clients, engineers and anyone else associated with the project.
  • Frees up storage in emails and transmit faster
  • Great tracking, you know who has seen or opened the email and who has not.
  • There is a timeline tracker on any updates or modifications on drawings.
  • Documents can be sent to a group or individual very easily.
  • We have a warranty log that we would like to incorporate and let everyone have access to, but Procore does not have the options we need in order to make this type of form.
  • You can make your own template but only based on what is provided. There is no real way to make exactly what you need without having the Procore team make the template on their end (if they even can).
  • I do not like the fact that you can not erase certain things like if you make a mistake on a template. I think maybe the head admin can go in and do it though.
This program can become very pricey, so just make sure it has the full functions your company needs. We were told in the sales pitch that it would integrate with our accounting software and then, after the purchase and during training, we were told that it did not integrate.

At Infinite Energy Construction, we use Procore across all of our offices throughout our organization. This consists of not only our home office but 6 satellite offices as well. It allows ALL of our people to work from the same, common framework. We effortlessly share documents and data. It is absolutely vital to how we function.
  • Document control is very good. It has allowed us to set up our file structures to be exactly the same for every user, every project, no matter if they are working on a one-off project in some far-flung location, working at one of our established program-level field offices, or working in the home office. The user experience is the same across the board.
  • Standardizing business forms across all units is a nice side-benefit, too. It is not uncommon for field offices to have unique ways of doing things, sometimes for no better reason than "that is just how it has always been done here in _______!" Being able to have an organized, standardized template that pushes out to all "forces" all users to be consistent. This allows management to review documents much easier, as there aren't subtle differences to be sorted.
  • While document handling is, in general, very good, it is the Drawings tools (and the related Punchlist and Inspections tools) that really shine. Those, along with photos (which can be easily linked/embedded in drawings) are game changers. The field always has the latest drawings, submittals, RFI's, ASI's, etc. at hand.
  • ProCore has been very good at rolling out updates. That being said, the Financial reporting still has room for improvement. While it is not full-blown accounting, it has the potential to replace such at the Project Management-level. They have made improvements and will continue to improve, I believe, to make the financial tools better.
  • Success has its downsides, and one potential weak point is that, as more and more users adopt Procore, it can be a challenge for the servers to keep up. It is not uncommon to get Loss of Service messages at peak times (end of the month, end of the year, etc). The outages haven't lasted for extended periods of time (usually an hour or less), but it IS a leap of faith to have Procore and the "cloud" your sole avenue for reaching your critical data.
  • It would be nice to be able to easily modify certain forms. For example, we are a Federal contractor and must use very rigid government forms for simple things like submittals and daily reports. A greater degree of flexibility to modify the output of these forms/reports to meet our specific needs would be great. We have tried to utilize the "custom report/form service" that they offer, but have had mixed results. What we really want is the ability to modify the output how we need it.
ProCore works great for our General Construction side of our business. As a GC, it functions well. We also are a self-performing electrical contractor, however, and find it has short-comings in that arena, particularly in the slightly unwieldy way that Invoices are handled. As a GC you might receive 20 to 40 invoices (pay applications) on a given job each month. As a self-performing contractor, we can have hundreds and hundreds of "tickets" or invoices to enter each month. Materials are purchased, many times, in small quantities from multiple vendors. The process to enter and track an invoice is the same whether it is for $1 or $1M.

We are using Procore as our main communication tool between the office and the field for all of our construction projects. We are using it for drawings, submittals, RFI's, Daily Logs, T&M Tickets, Timecards, etc.
We have always struggled with getting the project information into the hands of our foreman because the information is constantly changing. Procore has enabled us to provide this information instantly and efficiently. The field can now enter their time and we can upload it right into Sage 300 so this too has saved the office a great deal of time from manually entering everything.
  • Timecards: A MUST if you are currently manually entering time into a software program that integrates with Procore. The field can enter all of their time, and their crew's time, and then a file is created that gets uploaded into your accounting software (ours in Sage 300).
  • Daily Logs: The field can fill out a daily log that gets distributed to the PMs and Superintendents so they can monitor what is going on with their projects. This helps them see where the project is at as well as any issues that may arise.
  • Drawings: Drawings are a must. We have multiple revisions as the project goes on and the field folks are able to see each and every one of them if they need to or just see the most current revision of each as a complete drawing set.
  • The highest on our list of wants/needs would be to integrate Procore with the GCs and specialty systems. There is currently a lot of double work that tends to happen because these two systems do not talk.
  • T&M Tickets: Many times a T&M ticket will span more than one day. Right now, the tool is set up for only a one-day job. It would be really nice if we could track time and materials for multiple days on one ticket.
Procore is a fantastic communication tool between your office and field. Once they integrate specialty and GC systems, this will be a no-brainer needed piece of "equipment" for all!

We use Procore on an individual job basis as it is the preferred construction software of our contractors. It allows the contractor to take responsibility for organizing the CA process instead of the designers which allows us to focus on CA tasks instead of both the tasks and the paper trail.
  • RFIs are clearly listed and readily available with accountability for all parties.
  • Automated tracking of when submittal reviews are due allows us to easily know our deadlines.
  • Reports and Logs could be more easily accessed.
Procore is well suited to projects of all scales but has been especially valuable to our clients for bidding and contract comparison. On our end it is great for RFIs and submittals however it does not seem to be well suited to including file storage and access control like a dropbox or fileshare type functionality.

We have recently begun implementing Procore as the company's standard project management software. It is allowing us to standardize our company processes and streamline our construction processes. This has been beneficial as it unifies the company through one standard process which helps us progress towards our goal of being able to move anywhere within the company and know how things are being done.
  • Meetings/Meeting Minutes - These are incredibly easy to use and set up to be very neat and quick in their creation.
  • Mobile Drawing Access - This is great as when drawings are updated on Procore they are automatically updated on the mobile devices.
  • Drawing Revisions - Getting updated drawing sets has never been a quicker or easier process than it is with Procore.
  • Quality Control - The quality control tools while thorough can be a bit slow to create and manage in the field.
  • Creating Inspection Checklists - This can be time-consuming. I wish there was a way to import checklists or to copy sections or questions.
  • Drawing mark ups - Procore's drawing mark up capabilities are very basic and rudimentary and I feel there is room for improvement.
I feel Procore is well suited to managing and documenting the construction processes. I have not had any experiences with any scenarios in my work where I have felt that Procore was less appropriate. It may be just because I have my specific roles with the project and do not thoroughly use all of the different tools.

I work managing subcontractors on a multi-family construction project. We use numerous Procore tools in multiple different modules. Our company uses Procore as its primary project management software across all of our projects. We use it to manage our entire submittal process for all submittal documents. Our drawing management is done entirely through Procore and it allows us to take the drawings in the field, mark up drawings, track changes and see past revisions and compare them. We use Procore's inspection and observation function to perform quality control throughout the project. The locations function being connected to multiple tools helps us to track items, store photos, QC, etc. by location
  • Drawings/drawing comparison
  • QC inspection/tracking
  • Locations
  • Daily logs
  • Submittals
  • Punch list needs some work.
  • Emails to connect to outside integration.
I have found Procore useful in numerous scenarios. The things where improvement is needed the most are drawing comparison, emails, punch lists. I would like to be able to compare drawings not just to previous revisions but to each other. There are times that I would like to perform clash detection between different trades. I wish I could use my Microsoft Office emails/Outlook through Procore. There are numerous issues I have with the Procore punch list. First is the way to input. I wish that was more streamlined. Having to decide whether to input as push pins or through the tool. I can provide more detail if needed.

I am using Procore on a daily basis for project management services in construction. Procore is used for all of our projects, from athletic centers to schools, hotels to residential buildings, retail to entertainment buildings. The software creates a single platform where team users can collaborate and solve issues in real time. This includes not only internal team members but also external collaborators.
  • Cost management
  • Document management
  • Quality management
  • Tablet capabilities
  • Internet platforms
  • Schedule creation
Procore is well suited for construction management projects of all types. The software works well for projects of all sizes, dollar values, and complexities. The software is less suited for small construction projects, such as a home remodel. It is best suited for projects that require collaboration between the design team, construction team, etc.

[Procore is] great for managing construction projects of varying size and complexity. Software can be used for bidding and management. Can also be used by field employees to help with distributing information to field supervision and to subcontractors. Having important project information at my fingertips has been a huge help with the fast pace of todays projects.

We use Procore to manage a portfolio of 400+ active construction projects. Our construction department is the primary user of Procore, but as time goes on we are finding ways to incorporate the use of Procore in other departments on a smaller level (mainly data organization).
  • Data organization
  • Mobility and availability of information
  • Accessibility for internal and external organizational users
  • Platform updates are not always the best for all users
  • Becomes slower throughout the day as more users are online
Procore is great because it gives you a strong framework to organize your project data and create best practices for your company.

I use Procore to manage plans & specifications. I really like the way you can manage revised plans with different revisions. We also use Procore in calling, change events, mark-ups, RFIs, submittals, commitments, observations, and punch lists. The RFI module is great. We use it in pre-construction as well as in construction. We also use Procore in closeout and post-construction. The photos module is a great tool as well.
  • We use the drawings tool to manage our drawings. It keeps them organized and gives a detailed trail of revisions.
  • We use the specifications tool to manage our specifications. It keeps them organized and gives a detailed trail of revisions.
  • We use the RFI tool to manage our RFIs. It keeps a good record of all the RFIs throughout the project and the architect can respond within ProCore to answer the RFIs.
  • I would like to see some more development in the Bidding module. It needs to be more robust with bid tabulations from subs and better tracking on who will be submitting proposals. We currently use a different system for bid management.
  • I would like to be able to add more than one set of specifications.
  • The tasks module needs more functionality. We currently use a different system for our task management. It would be nice to be able to have it all in Procore.
I like the mobile app for tablets is working great for accessing what you need while in the field. The photos tool is great how you can tag where the picture was taken. I would like to be able to overlay drawing on the PC like you can on the tablet. ProCore support is great. It's great the way it captures historical data.

We use Procore extensively with our company. We have many different types of project - Industrial, Commercial for both our construction and civil divisions. We manage all aspects of our projects with Procore. Procore allows us to have up to the minute information on what is happening on the site - with pictures, daily documentation, submittals, RFI's and plan mark ups. Procore helps us to make sure that everyone has the most up to date information as soon as possible. Procore also gives us the most up to date financials that we have ever had - so that we know where a project is at and the health of a project at any given point in time.
  • Procore keeps everyone informed with the most up to date information.
  • Procore monitors the health of projects financially as well as other areas.
  • Procore provides a single place for everyone to get all the job information needed.
  • Provides excellent job documentation and record keeping.
  • Recently released 3 week look ahead and how it integrates with the schedule - I wish there were separation between the two so that they can operate independently.
  • Wish there were better ways of quantifying unit pricing for our civil side - so that there could be more accurate information.
  • I wish Procore had a stronger time card integration which included an HR portion and pay stubs, as this would help us eliminate the need for more work and extra software programs.
Procore is well suited for any job. It keeps all parties informed. It seems to be accepted by any owner and architect group that we run into. Everyone enjoys everything that it has to offer.

I utilize Procore on large industrial jobs, primarily automotive. My position as Design Manager requires coordination between A/E's, my construction team, the owner, and subcontractors. For design, we use Procore to store and exchange drawings, specifications, and other documents among the various parties. We post and transfer submittals and RFIs between the subcontractors and the A/E' utilizing the tracking function to keep these from becoming overdue. I enjoy the ability to assign reviewers and due dates and e-mail directly out of the Procore application. I can also use the Meeting Minutes function to record information from the meetings I hold daily and distribute to the team.

I find myself in the field frequently, using Procore on my iPad to pull up the BIM model to compare actual construction vs. the design model. I can also take photos and post them as RFI's or send them to individuals I see needing them. Having the ability to pull up drawings in the field and discuss with subcontractors is a huge help (and I don't have to haul around paper!)

In a broad sense, Procore helps me to keep everyone organized and coordinated. I can make sure everyone is working from the latest design but also pull up historical versions of documents and compare to see what has changed.
  • Procore has a very intuitive and uncluttered interface.
  • It's very versatile and is accessible on the web, desktop app, and mobile app
  • It's powerful and well-rounded, handling almost all aspects of a project (design, construction, close out).
  • It would be nice to mark-up drawings in the app (similar to Bluebeam).
It's well suited for large projects where you have a lot of people involved and a lot of information that needs to be transmitted. The ability to cover design, construction, and closeout makes it a powerful tool. It might not be suited for a small job where information could be handled via e-mail.

We are using Procore to manage all of our industrial, commercial, and healthcare projects. Procore provides our users with all project information within the app. With our ERP integration, it allows real time insight to cost to date and allows us to based decisions on the best information possible.
  • Procore allows users to easily access all the drawings and specs for a project.
  • Procore has multiple integrations with other software packages that allow users to use the application within the Procore platform.
  • Procore allows users to assign tasks, submittals, rfi's, etc to a specific person and automates the reminders until the item is closed out.
  • Procore needs to allow more integration features with Vista.
  • Procore needs to allow project specific forms instead of having all forms at the company level.
  • The Procore mobile app needs full access to the financial tools instead of requiring users to use a web browser to access it.
Procore is very useful to any construction project with multiple contractors and stakeholders.

We are a specialty contractor in the HVAC industry. Procore allows our staff, whether they be out in the field or in the office, to be able to access the information on one single platform that they will need to run all sized construction projects, from reviewing drawings and specifications to procurement and progress claims.
  • Drawing management.
  • Quality assurance (Inspections).
  • Reporting.
  • Budgets.
  • Specifications tool could be more user friendly.
  • Its integration with ERP is not as comprehensive as we would like.
  • Equipment tool is in its infancy and needs work.
Procore is fantastic for our field workers to be able to access information instantly to run their installations. Procore needs to work on the Commitments tool being more comprehensive for mobile devices.

We use Procore for Document Control, Financials and Safety. We manage ground up construction. Procore helps us track submittals, RFIs, and Safety Violations.
  • Tracking Submittals.
  • Comparing Drawing Updates.
  • Notifying users regarding open items.
  • Change Orders are difficult to edit after becoming PCCO.
  • Revised submittals keep the original submission date automatically.
  • Workflows for Submittals should be able to have different due dates for different parties.
Procore is great for comparing differences between revised drawings and the originals. Procore is also well suited for tracking all the necessary documents for the projects. Procore is also great for documenting and tracking safety violations on site and the subcontractors can reply directly to the violation. Procore is good at linking items in different modules together, such as linking an RFI to a Change Order.

Procore is being used by our whole organization. We use it for our real estate team and our construction team. We use it for RFI's and submittals. Also they upload photos and are able to discuss problems at the job. We upload all drawings for each Project Manger in the field. Our GC can also see our projects.
  • Submittals
  • RFI
  • Drawings
  • Better app for Surface
  • More access off of phones
  • Automatically link to updated drawings
Procore works great off a computer. We have noticed that the Surface app does not have much access. Also the phone app does not allow you to link to items that we would like to keep track of in the field. I think updating these two things would make a difference in field time.

I have not used Procore as a specialty contractor.
  • Procore allows easy organization and review of material submittals and shop drawings.
  • Procore has flexible features for creating and resolving punch list work.
  • The mobile app for Procore is the easiest and fastest way to view drawings and details.
  • The submittal sorting tool has some glitches.
  • The material delivery tracking portion of the submittal sub field needs to have more flexible options. For example, the anticipated delivery date is calculated and assumes the material is released as soon as the submittal is closed. In reality, there is time required to review the submittal comments, make adjustment to the shop drawings or submitted product, or even time to field measure the material before releasing to fabrication.
It is suited for any construction manager or subcontractor working on commercial construction projects.

We use Procore to manage all official communications with the client. This includes RFI, submittals, construction drawings, meeting minutes, emails, etc. We also use it to manage the tender packages and their communications with the bidders. Procore is the go-to place to learn how everything is going, no need to use emails and it always reminds you of your pending activities before they reach the due date.
  • Reminding every user what ball is in their court. This helps you keep track and not fall behind.
  • Assign tasks to every user. You can do so within most of the tools.
  • Manage different permission templates. They can be very detailed and that's good.
  • Some tools are missing some very basic options that can be frustrating on your day-to-day tasks. For example, you have to search names with accents, otherwise, they won't show up.
  • Support can underestimate its users, sometimes you expect a deeper answer and you get just a basic one.
  • It could have some help bubbles around the tools. Sometimes things are not clear and you just don't want to go read the manual, so a help bubble would come in handy.
It is usually well suited for any size project. Its set-up is not particularly easy so your team might have to invest some time to do it. It helps with many types of projects but you have to keep an eye on difficult teams that are resistant to change, if they do not cooperate, then Procore might not succeed as you expect.

Procore is our core Project Management and Financial Management platform for our company. We deliver a diverse range of construction projects from Residential, Education, Commercial, Hospitality and Office Retail. All our projects are fundamentally delivered by Procore from our initial preconstruction tendering, project delivery including all contract administration, site reporting, document control, right through to complete project financial control including progress claims, budget reporting, payroll utilising its full integration with our accounting package. For us, Procore is a complete package. It streamlines our business and ultimately saves time. It allows us to be transparent with all stakeholders involved.
  • Unlimited users - allows you to share as much or as little information with all involved in a project. Access is controlled by granular permissions templates.
  • Support - There is always someone available to answer questions and the training videos are informative.
  • Document control - We have found the drawing tool and its functionality a fundamental tool onsite.
  • Site diary and photos tools - again these tools have become fundamental in our project delivery through their ease of use.
  • Progress Claims. The format of the progress claim could be improved especially around entering cash retentions. We find this function could be improved upon.
  • Timesheet approval and allocation to cost codes. This can become time consuming task when your staff are working across multiple projects in one week.
  • Variations - The process of entering variations both for the Head Contract & Subcontracts could be streamlined. A lot of process required to prepare a variation.
We have found that Procore is well suited for on-site project delivery. Defect management is one particular task that can be managed really efficiently. By taking photos and pining them directly onto a plan showing its location, you can allocate the defect directly to the relevant Subcontractor and track the response until the defect is closed out.

As a General Contractor, we use Procore to manage our field operations, construction documentation, reporting and the financial side of the project.
  • Innovation. Procore continues to update the platform, providing new features.
  • Integration. Procore seems to be focused on integration with 3rd party developers that can enhance Procore's operation with off-platform product integration.
  • Support. I've never had a bad experience with their support personnel. There have been times when they were not able to resolve my issue, but they have always tried their best and invested as much time as I needed.
  • Maintenance. In its quest for innovation, Procore has either let some basics slide or actively eliminated some basic features, leading to a lack of efficiency.
  • Suggestions. I have seen items on the Feedback Forum that have a ton of upvotes but Procore either continues to ignore or states that they will not develop.
Procore provides an immediately available status for the project with consistency across the board from job to job and team to team.

I use RFI, observations, and inspections mostly. Procore helps us with the traceability of information and record-keeping of who and when it was answered or submitted the information.
  • Tracebility
  • Record keeping
  • Accessibility
  • Ease of use
  • Scheduling tool has room for improvement.
  • Change orders can be difficult to create.
  • Inspection forms can be more flexible.
Procore is well suited in scenarios or projects that have many key players involved, also long-term or long-duration projects are very adequate. Short termed or short-duration projects are a scenario where is less appropriate. Another scenario that is less appropriate is when you are the owner of the project.

Procore is our primary solution for project management, quality control, and estimating/bid management. We use the product through the entire project life cycle, from tender to closeout and warranty. Running jobs through Procore enables us to present a consistent and unified set of documentation across all of our projects and management teams.
  • Record-keeping and document management.
  • Preparation and presentation of construction documentation.
  • Construction-oriented, intuitive features.
  • Ongoing documentation of new features.
  • Consistency between web-based and mobile platforms.
  • Integration of collaborative products (MS Teams, OneDrive, etc.).
Procore is an excellent tool for construction companies with several teams working independently, provided the business volume is able to support the price.
