  • All departments using Tibco BusinessWorks are well aligned, which positively improves the streamlining of the full solution stack.
  • The license cost is quite high, which negatively impacts the budget negotiation for future projects.

  • We have a great stability of our infrastructure. In our Enterprise Bus in July, we closed close to a billion calls and around a quarter of a billion for our event driven architecture (asynchronous).
  • The average response time of our synchronous middleware is very low that is a satisfaction.
  • BW licenses are from our point of view expensive.

  • Positive; many clients have reduced the amount of time used to integrate data via older solutions, such as GP Integration Manager
  • Automation of integrations, allows for users to have a more hands off approach; just review error alerts/logs and see expected data in target system, with minimal work.
  • Allowed for a client to be able to generate several hundred orders/invoices on a monthly basis, without user input.

  • The ROI has been positive as during major transformations, we have been required to only modify the TIBCO layer when the southbound interfaces change and therefore not necessitating change in the northbound APIs.

  • Scribe Online has made it possible to share data across various business systems at a low cost for both time and money.
  • Maintenance of Scribe Online Integration jobs, once properly configured and tested, is absolutely minimal.
  • Getting data into the right hands at the right time is critical to our business. Scribe Online is a large part of making that happen.

  • Whenever there was a Scribe outage, all of our customers were affected and didn't have integrations for a day.
  • There wasn't a way to trigger a support ticket only for certain Scribe errors- no customization there, so there was no automated way to escalate certain tickets if need be.
  • Going back and forth on generating field schemas for our FTP customers, was time intensive.

  • It does save a lot of development time, so just with that, we're probably getting the ROI in just a few months.
  • The product helps the IT team focus on other things and not spend as much time on integration work.

  • We were able to get all Salesforce data migrated successfully; this was a big win.
  • Reasonably priced for the two connectors and migration requirements.
  • Reasonable priced for ongoing data manipulation requirements; i.e. adjustments to MS data. Not using for integrations presently.

  • Positive: migrating our 10 clients to the cloud will allow us to take down our partner-hosted VPN, saving a large amount of money. The costs of using Scribe are outweighed by the money we will save having our clients in the D365 online.
  • Negative: the learning curve for Scribe took some time away from actually doing the work that needed to get done. I attempted to teach myself at first but ended up needing to use (and pay) an external partner resource to cover all of the nuances of how to set up migrations. Now that I know how to use Scribe, it's easy enough, but the materials out there for self-supported learning are not great.

  • Startup time - the quick time in which we can provision integrations means we can deliver requirements quickly, which is what our departments need
  • The online training means we can easily get users up and running without the need for the internal cost of training
  • Development time - The development that was needed to create connectors for our custom application was large
