Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

My team uses Clickup for our product backlog and general sprint tracking. We also use ClickUp docs to create PRDs and for overall documentation development, note-taking, and research. The ClickUp calendar feature allows us to schedule our releases for company-wide visibility. We have attempted to use Whiteboards for user journeys, but this feature is not yet developed stably. Other uses we give Clickup outside of product –at a company level–, are lists for OKRs and OKR tracking, onboarding lists for new hires, tech, and product requests that come in as forms from support and sales teams, and documentation for presentations, such as we do not use slides. Overall, ClickUp allows us to track projects from start to finish: from the definition of the business need, the research, the strategy, the solution design, the roadmap, the DoDs and task creation, and the tracking of such tasks until completion, launch, post-deployment analysis, and further iterations.
  • Sprint boards are clear and organized
  • Clickup docs are a well-rounded feature with great flexibility
  • Templates are easy to use and save us time and energy
  • Whiteboards are not functioning properly yet: elements disappear and rework is needed
  • Using / commands inside the description of a task
  • Frequent degraded performance
  • Productivity measurement
  • Effort estimate optimization
  • Project tracking efficiency
Clickup forms allow us to escalate requests from one team to another in an easy manner. The form entries become tasks, and we can keep track of all these requests on a board for the stakeholders and team managers to be informed on the progress, blockers, or dependencies. This allows everyone involved visibility and ensures the tasks are completed as quickly as possible.
The same can be said of Clickup templates. These allow each team to know specifically what information is needed for the type of request, avoiding time-consuming back and forth.
Clickup has been able to simplify my team's workflow by having features for every need we may have. More specifically, having our board, docs, calendars in the same place keeps every task linked to where it needs to be, allowing us to have a record of the work being done towards a certain objective.
Trello had much fewer features, as it only allowed us to have a board, and did not (at the time I used it) have docs or forms to help us optimize our workflow. Its user experience did not inspire the effortless cross-collaboration that Clickup has caused in my team and in the entire company.
