Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Connect

We were looking to replace a free product that was causing us constant dropped calls and other issues. We evaluated several products and narrowed them down to three. One was updating our free product with a new server, a hybrid on-premise, and cloud product, and GoTo Connect which is an in-the-cloud product. What sold us on GoTo Connect was the simplicity of the Administration Page over what we were using and what I had used in the past, Avaya. After we made our decision and implemented GoTo Connect we had no dropped calls and a clear voice with no static.

Although in most cases, GoTo Connect has no contract, but we agreed to a one-year contract in exchange for them providing us with new VoIP phones. we had everything in place in about three weeks with them programming all the phones so they were just plugged and play.
GoTo Connect has saved us a lot on time and effort in the IT department with its ease of management and quality of service. Also, when we do run into an issue, support is quick to contact and their knowledge make support calls take little time in resolving problems saving precious time.
We chose GoTo Connect over these two options. FreePBX is an on-premise product that needed a dedicated server. This was what we were using prior to GoTo Connect and it was rather cheap, but it made up for that in being extremely hard to manage. We were having a lot of dropped calls due to the fact we were using an older version of the software and we could not upgrade until we have a new server setup, but even if we had fixed these issues it still was hard to manage. It was not easy to get support. Star2Star looked very good as well, but they could not assure us that it would work in a foreign country where we had an office and we wanted to have all initial sites under the same system. It was a hybrid system with an on-premise device but cloud-hosted. We liked the management interface but not as well as we did the GoTo connect interface. It was also a little bit more expensive than the GoTo Connect option.

For any business, this is an excellent cloud-based option for phone service. We have had very few dropped calls, and no real issues while using it. In Fact, when we started with GoTo Connect it was just with our main facility and corporate office, but after using it for a while and seeing how great it was, we have since converted all other facilities (4) over to it as well with great results.
