Overall Satisfaction with Procore

My current company is an electrical contracting firm. The majority of our employees and operations are offsite, in the field. The need to move from paper-based to cloud-based interactions became necessary to expedite our operation processes in the field. It is has streamlined the submittal process, RFI management and daily log documentation for both safeties, human resources, and change order processing.
  • As a company with multiple projects, field sites, and contacts, managing RFI's can be a cumbersome process. Procore eases this process. Procore has enabled field journeyman to generate urgent RFI's at the job-site. While back at the office, I edit and distribute with a few clicks of the mouse. Procore enables the journeymen to attach drawings, specs, and photographs and for me creates tracking reports and automated emails for response deadlines.
  • Procore increases our field productivity by eliminating the need for redundant paperwork entries, single-source electronic storage, plans and submittals, and daily log annotations.
  • Timecard entries are lacking the ability to add custom verbiage pertaining to local and state requirements, thus still requiring additional paperwork. Adding this functionality would further streamline payroll process for me.
We selected Procore based on its multiple modules that can be added or deleted. We also selected Procore for its customer service, training program, and technical support program.
Collaboration between the field/office with our journeymen and general contractors has increased performance. Particularly in the RFI processes.

Ensuring information is accessible and up to date had always been a problem prior to Procore. With Procore's plan room we are able to make plans and drawings updated in real time, generate RFI's directly from plans and eliminate additional costly printing. The ability to have documents stored in a cloud-based system also enables our field/office to share without emailing, time-sucking uploading and downloading.
It doesn't get a 10 as we had, and still, have some issues with initial uploading of specs and plans for new projects.
As a subcontractor, rather than a general contractor, we have had to rework the direction a few of the Procore systems have in place.

Using Procore

Procore has eliminated duplication of entries for many of our journeyman reporting in the field. As a result, RFI's, Change Orders, and plan changes are handled in a more timely manner. And mostly, the reduction of paper use! Everything from submittals to safety documents is handled electronically. The program makes all levels of users more efficient and in turn we are more productive.

Product usability. We were wanting a product that EVERYONE in the company would be comfortable using. If we weren't all in the product would be useless.
We would have done this years sooner.

Procore Implementation

The trainers seem to be targeted at a younger more "tech savvy" demographic. They should have a few, how do I put this nicely, "older" representatives to deal with an older demographic of users. Maybe do a little more research on who they're training and better match training styles to learning styles.

Procore Support

Regardless of the size of my issue, technical support handles things IMMEDIATELY. And if they cant, they're quick to find someone else that can. Their follow up to training and check ins are exemplary.

Yes - Yes. We were having an issue with numbering of RFI's. Was handled within minutes.
When our RFI's were not numbering properly the interactive tech support was able to identfy, troubleshoot and resolve the problem within minutes.

Using Procore

While highly functional and usable for all the staff. There are times where we have to log in and out, or close in / out of project function while in the field to update.
