Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop Enterprise
We use Splashtop for remote access for users. It's an easy, secure and inexpensive way to give employees access from outside the office. We currently use it in our headquarters, but are planning to deploy it company-wide because it has been working so well for us. Our users have noted the dramatic improvement from our prior remote access solution.
- Fast remote access experience
- Support for features such as dual monitors and file copy
- Business Access comes with a license for their On-Demand remote support solution
- Inexpensive compared similar solutions
- You must download the application in order to use remote access. No browser remote access interface support.
- There were issues with screen blanking on remote computers while a session was active, but that has been resolved.
- There isn't a remote "wake-on-LAN' feature
- We've been able to provide our users with remote access without having a huge CapEx investment to create a structure for them to do that.
- We were able to save money against a competitive solution while improving our remote access experience and adding additional features.
- Familiar and simple interface made it easy for users to transition to Splashtop
We were using LogMeIn prior to Splashtop. We found that Splashtop offered a faster remote experience, cost less and had more robust features than LogMeIn. We also found GoToMyPC expensive in comparison. We tested TeamViewer and liked it quite a bit, however TeamViewer's licensing model is geared more towards remote support than medium to large size company's that want remote access. It's cost prohibitive in that regard.
