Infusionsoft is well suited for client bases of 1,000+, in my opinion. I think the program would be overpriced and too extensive for smaller businesses but is well worth the investment for businesses with larger client bases. It is also worthwhile for businesses with diverse client bases; the tagging and categorization qualities would be extraneous if used for homogeneous client bases.

  • Marketing automation. I have not found another software or service that can compare in the complete automation of a marketing campaign. There is nothing I can't do by either utilizing Infusionsoft's built in marketing, or using the API connections to integrate with 3rd parties.
  • Infusionsoft's API gives access to nearly every table in Infusionsoft's database that I would ever need to edit, giving me the ability to integrate with nearly any other system.

  • I would love for there to be a timer device, this way you can track how much time you're actually using on the phone/drafting a document etc., and have it connected to billing.
  • Have more availability to connect to other software such as Goldmine and Abacus.
  • Better navigation bar on the page, it seems like I need it to move faster sometimes to keep up with me when I am going to a particular area. The drop down from the symbol would work better if it were just all the main nav bar.
  • Email blast will stop because of spam complaints from email servers. That is not to say that there are actually enough for that to happen. And some people have not even had the chance to receive the newsletter via email because of that! This is my BIGGEST frustration! If you send out an email blast for the first time, you can get it stopped and restart it once, but it only takes like 11 people out of 300 for the Infusion system to lock you out and you have to start over!

We have invested a lot into Infusionsoft and are using it to automate our processes and marketing. Changing CRMs would have a HUGE cost for us and based on our evaluations, the grass isn't greener elsewhere. Infusiosoft fits most of our needs and is slowly getting better each year. Their support is great and we will continue to use them until something much better comes around or our company outgrows a small business CRM.

Buyer beware. Be prepared to invest many hours if you plan to manage this application yourself. This is true of any automation solution. Can you take classes and go to University again and become a great marketing automation expert yourself? Yes, probably. But should you be investing your highest and most productive use of time building out Infusionsoft. Not likely.Which means you need to plan on finding someone you can trust and that is the plain truth. There are many qualified consultants who have sufficient sales, marketing, business, content, life and Infusionsoft experience to help you get results. But far too many people decry this as an all in one solution that is easy to use. This will never be the case even though the product development team is constantly working to make it a better product and easier to use.We don't make our own paper clips for a reason. We outsource all the time. We have to make really informed decisions on the solutions we use and then commit to learning best practices for marketing regardless of the platform.Do not expect to pay someone less than $150-$250 per hour to really make this application sing. Or pay them for training or internal services and then kick yourself.

This training is taught often to the lowest common denominator so as to help as many customers of theirs as possible. We do the training and coaching and implementations for our clients. But clients who I know who have been to their training get trained well. The gap that can exist lies in you doing your part and really investing in using and building out the application.The training and education is only as good as your willingness to apply it.

I personally prefer ACT over InfusionSoft, but I worked with ACT much longer and feel like it allows us to do many more customization details on the list than Infusionsoft does. However Infusionsoft has the email campaigns and ACT does not. So that gives the advantage to Infusionsoft. I feel like they both work great, but they both have flaws.

Pricing is user and email and function based. Way too many pay walls and not native function for scaling. It's scaleable with NASA level marketing automation talent you must pay to engage. Otherwise, it gets expensive quickly for scaling to a true small business, which is what they target. Over 25 users and you're screwed. Look at the competition first, evaluate what you really need for your business and start there. Keep it simple, build your cash flow and confidence in the people you hired to make this work and then scale. Don't get sucked into the dream that this thing will help you sell your book to millions and you get famous while hanging on your boat or whatever. Building a small business is hard enough. Adding software often adds complexity in order to successfully scale.

  • For my business, which offers virtual assistance services, Infusionsoft has been helpful in allowing me and my team to help my client run his business more smoothly. He already had it in place when we started working together, which made for a very easy transition.
  • Infusionsoft can be complicated. There are several different ways to accomplish some tasks, which is good, giving people choices, but we may choose a less productive method when a simpler, quicker method is available since it's too difficult to find it in the Infusionsoft haystack.
  • I understand timing out for security purposes when you haven't engaged with the program in a certain amount of time, but frequently when I have been using it regularly for an hour straight, it will boot me off and make me log in again when I am in the middle of a search or trying to help a customer over the phone.
