We use Adobe Captivate Prime mainly for learning and development, for both internal and external users. We prepare the courses, publish, and upload [them] into our LMS. To design multiple courses in [a] more engaging way, Adobe Captivate Prime is useful. I definitely recommend this software to every e-learning developer to address their issues. Sometimes it [is] slow, and also we face problems with the larger files.
  • Software simulation
  • AR/VR videos
  • PPT to storyboard
  • Corporate-level storyboarding
  • Gallery
  • Icon collection
  • Internal security
Adobe Captivate Prime is well suited for PPT to storyboard conversion and AR/VR video preparations. Also, this is helpful in e-learning development, content engagement, and video creation. There is [a] feature for software simulation. But there is other software [that] can be more helpful for the simulation recordings compared to Adobe Captivate Prime. This is best for course creation and upgrading.

Adobe Captivate Prime is mainly being used by the Human Resources Department. This software is mainly used by the HR department to issue out new [training] and modules for other departments to learn about. When our cyber security certificate expires, we will use this software to complete that training. The lessons are [set up] really well, and this makes taking these training courses very simple.
  • Files can easily be added.
  • Global lessons are accessible.
  • [The] user interface is nice.
  • [The] report feature needs improvement.
  • Zoom integration doesn't work.
  • [The] interface [could] be more intuitive.
Adobe Captivate Prime is a great Learning Management System for bigger companies. All lessons and courses are stored in the cloud and can be easily accessible by any department in the company. It has been very helpful having employees take these lessons and [complete] them on time. Lessons are more interactive, so employees get these done in no time.

Adobe Captivate Prime provides a new way [of] learning by creating a multifunctioning user-friendly experience. It uses imagination to create interactive courses for all users seeking responsive and personalized learning features. [Adobe] is a trusted system that never fails its users, always providing the best in class support and user-friendly features. This system focuses on [the] learner's experience [and] this software offers many user-friendly features, which learners find helpful. This platform is easily utilizable by managers [to] create various training lessons/courses for employees. This system works great for small to medium businesses by streamlining the learning aspect of the software. Adobe Captivate [Prime] allows for easy learning on various devices and on the go. It is also easily usable with Adobe Connect, which is another feature of Adobe.
  • User-friendly courses
  • Easily applicable to any user
  • Offers a [good] number of courses
  • Great price for the software
  • Some freeze points happen once in a while.
  • [It] needs to concentrate on aligning teams better, [especially] when working with big groups.
  • [The] mobile apps do not work as well [and] need more features added.
It works great for smaller businesses where team groups are smaller. This software offers great learning features for all users. It is very easy to switch between roles when using this platform. The option to use [the] notes feature while training is great for users since they can make some notations while trying to learn the subject/course. Adobe allows managers to use various features which make the experience unique and fun.

I work in eLearning and help clients set up LMS platforms for their teams to be able to learn new skills and improve their work efficiency. When looking at a potential LMS, some things that I look at include the cost, the learning tools/modules that are available, and the learning curve. Most clients do not have time to do all of this so they hire us to find a solution for them. Over the years, we have chosen Adobe Captivate [Prime] because it brings together a seamless experience for companies that are vested in the Adobe ecosystem as well as those that want a good LMS with reporting tools.
  • Adobe Captivate [Prime] has good learning formats that are adaptable to different organizational needs. Whether it's on-demand or instructor-led, you can select what's best for you and your organization. You can also track achievements and learning progress.
  • For managers and leaders, you can see customized reports that you can export to track team and member learning. While the reports are not comprehensive, you can at least customize them.
  • It is very mobile-friendly.
  • I feel the user interface is a bit outdated and while it works fine with most devices, [it] could do with a refresh. Other LMS platforms have better UI's even if they do not have the same functions.
  • Pricing feels out of touch for most SMEs and it feels a bit like the tool is designed for larger enterprise types rather than including SMEs.
I have found that Adobe Captivate [Prime] is ideal for organizations with more than 200 employees as the cost ratio is somewhat more effective. It also works best for those within the creative/media industry with the tight integration with Adobe Creative Cloud. For organizations that are smaller, it may be challenging to justify the cost even though the experience would be great.

This product helped us create personalized teaching systems for different students and members of staff in the English department. We used it to help with access to materials and tracking of progress during the pandemic so that we could transition to online learning more effectively. We will keep using it now that we are mostly back to in-person learning. I only used it internally.
  • [It] helps track student progress.
  • [It] makes it easy to create very specific and focused material for small groups.
  • [It is] easy to use and understand so that we didn't have to do a great deal of training with all the users.
  • [It] could have a cleaner and clear dashboard [as] some icons [were] unclear.
  • Some of the processes seemed to have too many steps, but mostly they worked okay.
  • Sometimes, the automatic update didn't work [and it] frustrated some of my colleagues.
We found it worked well for intra-department learning, in enabled us to keep a whole office of remote workers up-to-date on various new systems during the pandemic. Seemed to work well for students and staff working from home and particularly helped the admin staff keep teaching staff on track with new systems.

First of all, I must mention that I was one of the most influential people during the Adobe Captivate Prime implementation process because I am the Director of the Technology area. My participation was totally necessary to perfect and establish good connectivity and the relationship of the user [to] the learning material. Adobe Captivate Prime is a very beneficial platform for us and it has brought us a lot of fruit to be able to develop activities and new knowledge that help us in our business performance. Adobe Captivate Prime is being used in all sectors of our company. In our IT sector, we are responsible for configuring and maintaining [the] immediate effectiveness of [Adobe] Captivate Prime [for] all [of] our employees. We are responsible for ensuring that our employees have comprehensive learning at all times without any type of errors. In addition, our IT area also [uses] Adobe Captivate Prime as a resource manager and learning manager to learn about new things in the IT area and thus be able to develop new technologies that benefit our real estate sector. We have a very good workflow with the help of Adobe Captivate Prime. We can have [the] correct order on the material we have been learning, know exactly what material each sector of our company is studying, and can also share strategic material among employees. Adobe Captivate Prime also helps us train our clients, but other sectors of our company take care of that task, [so] we mostly take care of the configuration, and adaptation of [Adobe] Captivate Prime to our company, while also learning for ourselves.
  • One of the things that I liked the most about [Adobe] Captivate Prime is that I can visualize the learning that my co-workers are having in real-time. In our IT sector, I love being able to share learning material with my colleagues. We can converse through the platform and can share various ideas about the material we are studying together. The interaction on this platform is incredible as we can share our learning, establish opinions, and also rate learning material to be able to offer a good expectation to other readers.
  • It is a fairly easy-to-use platform, its interface is very well developed, and I can have a concrete learning experience without having to present any confusion in the administration of the learning material. Its UI is very organized and I am very comfortable using Adobe Captivate Prime for my business learning.
  • Finding material of interest in Adobe Captivate Prime is not a challenge for us [as] this platform has an AI system that allows us to find material of interest in a matter of seconds. When we registered on the platform, [Adobe] Captivate Prime asked us for a list of the things that we liked the most or what we did [for our job]; in this way, the system threw us learning material related to our tastes.
  • As I mentioned previously, I was one of the people involved during the implementation process, so I was aware of the high cost that resulted from the purchase of Adobe Captivate Prime. My personal and work opinion is that [Adobe] Captivate Prime should be a much cheaper software; currently, its plans are quite expensive and it was something that I noticed during my implementation process. I noticed that the software did not provide cheaper or more accessible plans. It is an incredible platform with short and long-term learning, but its plans [should] be modified in price.
  • There is [an Adobe] Captivate Prime App available for iOS and Android devices; however, I am not very happy with the effectiveness that this app has shown since we have been using [Adobe] Captivate Prime. This app takes a long time to download courses or learning material, despite having a stable and fast network connection. In addition, this app does not have a chronological order of the courses that are being taken, [so] all [of] the courses appear out of order, and it is difficult for me to [navigate to the] right one.
[Adobe] Captivate Prime is an attractive platform for any company. I recommend it without a doubt because it is a service where everyone has the opportunity to have a learning system, where they can organize everything and can share learning material with their colleagues. Although the implementation process is straightforward, I would recommend that you hire trained people to be able to implement [Adobe] Captivate Prime; in our company, it was easy because we [were] trained to configure [Adobe] Captivate Prime easily, but in other companies, there may be various problems for the implementation. It is a platform that is really worth it if you are looking for an LMS system that helps you train all the employees of your company. [Adobe] Captivate Prime is the best option to consider [as] it is a system with a very organized, comfortable, and understandable UI.

Adobe Captivate Prime is being used by the department and it is a primary/go-to tool for creating training videos or Interactive modules for external customers/partners.
  • Unlike other E-learning tools we have the option of creating projects into video form.
  • Easy to understand the workflow.
  • Easy to simulate, add animations, highlighting contents.
  • Variable using technique
  • Can't import one Captivate slides to other Captivate.
  • There is no inbuilt Scrolling effect available.
  • Less animation effects.
  • Difficult to edit imported PowerPoint slides content
It is very useful and easy to adopt for creating videos, to create interactive modules for users.

We use Abode Captivate Prime for training our customers. Since our product is a complex accounting solution we need to train our end users to effectively use our platform to manage their spend. We train both newly onboarded customers as well as existing customers who needs to get familiarised with a new feature we just rolled out.
  • The learning curve is outstanding. The Webinars are very informative.
  • I love the functions and how excellent it is to design actions and distance courses.
  • Each interaction can be configured to be reported on to allow for powerful reporting capabilities.
  • Users had to enable "unsafe scripts." Many problems were unrepeatable
  • Error messages were limited and the descriptions on how to create and upload were not that extensive.
  • Instal was a handful and took very long.
Adobe Captivate Prime is ideal for small-to-medium businesses that need to create basic employee training. The best-case scenario would be for compliance training and skills training. You can definitely address your employee training program to global audiences with this LMS (Learning Management System).

Any enterprise environment can make use of this LMS, as it will bring new life into your training processes’ optimization. Adobe Captivate Prime is a great tool for Instructional Designers who are not afraid to use their imagination. This LMS can assist in taking training design above and beyond. With this tool, your L&D team will have the opportunity to create interactive training courses.

We use Adobe Captivate Prime for external purposes to help train new customers or ones that need a refresher on our software product. While we would like to use it for internal training, we don't have the resources to build that out quite yet. Only our customer service/account management team uses it. I love how we don't have to go back and forth between software and that we can create content directly with Adobe or upload PowerPoints as well.
  • Their customer service team is super helpful and quick to respond.
  • Learning [the] calendar feature [is] easy to navigate and see all your courses.
  • [I like that you can] import previous presentations to edit or even turn them into a video.
  • It has a learning curve for sure!
  • [I would like] more interactive features.
  • [I would appreciate a] possible stripped-down more cost-friendly alternative.
Adobe Captivate Prime is great for training or onboarding new employees (although we have not done this yet but we plan to in the future!) and it's also a great tool for your customer service or account management team to use to effectively create content to train or onboard customers. You can use a variety of multi-media, create training courses, and even make little quizzes to test and see how much they've learned. If you are in a training role or customer success, this would be a great tool for you.

We are using it to develop bespoke product demos of our customer-facing software products. Its goal is to familiarize customers with our platform by using videos as context for a use case. Customers can complete these use cases with Adobe Captivate [Prime] score packages.
  • Templates
  • Object placement
  • Text positioning
  • It crashes randomly and I’ve become an anxious saver because of it.
  • Reports are bare-bones.
I’d suggest an 8 because of the learning curve and it can feel daunting to new users. It’s well suited for customers who are just beginning their LMS/authoring tool journey. I think it works well for catered audience types, like location, language, and versioning.

Adobe Captivate Prime is used to train our employees and deliver lessons online to our customers. It has been extremely useful when COVID started and we had to move from a face to face teaching to online teaching. It's a powerful software that allowed us to create virtual classrooms and not just have video calls.
  • Virtual Classrooms
  • Virtual Training
  • Enhancing customer satisfaction
  • Slight more expensive than competitors
  • Many options that could make it challenging to use
  • Needs to be purchased separately from Creative Cloud
We have been pretty happy with this product and the fact that we are already familiar with the Adobe environment made it easy for us to use Captivate Prime. We know that Adobe is a company that we can trust and offer product of high quality. It was perfectly suited to train staff working from home and students that couldn't learn face to face.

Adobe Captivate Prime is used by a small business unit to provide technical training content to their external business partners. The aim here is to have them attend content to keep individuals up to date on topics and technologies. By doing so the partner will be allowed to continue within the partner program which is recognised by the customers.
  • Pretty simple setup
  • Good for smaller implementations
  • Probably good for schools and similar educational institutions in the way its designed.
  • The documentation leaves quite a few things to be desired. The basics seem to be there, but frequently I come across options and settings that are not covered in the documentation and need support help to clarify.
  • Missing explanations within the UI makes some setup longer than needed as one doesn't know if an option is relevant for a setup or not.
  • I feel the intended design for educational institutions makes it a little less flexible for other uses.
The system seems particularly well suited for education, schools, and similar institutions. This wasn't exactly what I was intending the system to be used for, but I didn't have a say in the selection of the system. I have managed to make it work partly because the system allows renaming of the User Interface text. At least for the user. The renaming isn't going all the way through the system hence creating potential confusion for those running reports. Something that can be overcome with a little training on the system. More problematic I think is the fact that renaming only works in English when users have the option to switch to either German or French.

It is mainly used for internal employee training or external customer/partner training.
  • Offered in-depth content.
  • Relevant industry topics and Adobe products were featured.
  • Consolidates many resources in a single place for ease of use.
  • The video was of lower quality than I would have expected from a company like Adobe.
  • At times, the narration did not always reflect the same topics that were shown in the video at that moment. It's as if either the video had been updated but the narration had not, or vice versa.
We found Captivate Prime helpful in getting new hires up to speed on the basics of various Adobe products and technologies they may have had little to no exposure to prior to joining our company.

It is being used as the LMS for the entire enterprise. It hosts all of our training that's available to the whole organization and is also able to host departmental-specific training in separate domains, all in one. It is used primarily for our employees.
  • It allows for the departmental subdomains to host subject-matter-expert trainings along with the enterprise-wide learning and development/career-development topics in one comprehensive system which was not possible in the past.
  • Provides foundational base for us to build our succession planning strategy upon.
  • Adobe Connect has the sidebar present to be used for hearing impaired compliance, however, the fluidic player does not have this capability.
  • Would also like to see more flexibility in using alternative logon rather than email, so better integration with our system to allow using a different identifier - i.e. employee number.
Again, for us, we appreciate the ability to create custom-admins who can, in essence, run their own LMS within the enterprise LMS which makes it comprehensive for the employee. And although it is a complex and powerful tool, we are able to implement and utilize it with an embarrassingly small staff. I can't really think of a scenario where it is not functional or appropriate.

It is being used by all staff for training courses. It is overall good but feels always outdated when it comes to presentation. It should be easier as now I feel it is complex for no reason, I need to dig deep in order to do something simple.
  • Can upload any number of files
  • Create program is easy
  • Search is easy
  • Reporting is good
  • Presentation of the content
  • Not all reports to extracted into Excel
  • Need to be more easy to deal with
Adobe Captivate Prime is good to record training courses, but when I need help, customer service is totally useless as they move me from one person to another until no-one replies. This is not good at all.

When choosing the right e-learning course design and content authoring software, there are a few choices. I like Adobe Captivate Prime because I am so used to using the other Adobe products to offer, such as Photoshop and Illustrator. When using Photoshop, it is easy to incorporate my files from Photoshop to Captivate, saving time and effort. I am using Captivate as a training element as I am practicing to create online courses. I do wish that it was part of the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. It's a bit expensive compared to other competitors on the market. If this were part of the Creative Cloud subscription, that would increase users' market share using this great product!
  • Easy to incorporate files from Photoshop to Captivate.
  • Captivate has a significant VR (virtual reality) aspect of it.
  • It's an Adobe product that you can trust.
  • Expensive.
  • Not part of the Creative Cloud subscription.
  • Not many templates compared to Articulate Storyline.
If you are used to using Adobe products, the switch-over is seamless. If you are not, then you may find a steep learning curve.

Adobe Captivate Prime is being used to turn a Digital Photography Camp from in-person to an online version. External customers purchase the Online Camp and students access the course via a web link. The course was created and then uploaded to AWS as a web host.
  • It cross transfers with other Adobe software really well.
  • It has the ability to create VR where other e-learning software lacks.
  • There are plenty of experts in the field where you can access training on the software or ask questions.
  • Its not as user friendly as Storyline.
  • If you don't have an LMS then it is difficult to find a way to publish the e-learning you have created.
If the team member or student has access to a computer and internet then they can use the course. Some skills are best learned in person and the skills cannot be simulated in an online course.

We used Adobe Captivate for training the students online in COVID-19 situations. It was a wonderful experience. Application has all the options which are required for a faculty. When we trailed the application we felt it is so user-friendly and its AI part is simply super to address the user's need.
  • Room breaking
  • Polls
  • File sharing
  • Quizzes
  • Screen sharing
  • It uses heavy data
  • Cost
  • Easy connect to low bandwidth
Training programmers which we conduct by Adobe Captivate is simply wonderful. This is good for e-learning, training, and official online meets. It's so simple to use and AI technologies used in Adobe Captivate allow us to explore things simply. The limit of the participant is also huge compared to others.

Adobe Captivate Prime is being used as the main Learning Management System for delivering all the training in the entire organization. The main problem it solves is that it keeps the user engagement level high due to the customizations and automation it offers. It is only used for internal training currently.
  • Structuring content.
  • Connection with client.
  • Easy of use.
  • Not being able to re-name an existing course is a true weakness of the system.
  • Our ZOOM integration is not working, however, support is working with us to solve this problem.
  • Semantics get in the way of finding solutions.
With Adobe Captivate, you can develop creative e-learning content for clients. For example, you can use Adobe Captivate Prime to create online rating for health and safety. Since science lessons are very suitable for visual use, Adobe Captivate will make a trainer's job easier. The course material can also be quickly updated when needed.

Adobe Captivate Prime is being primarily used by our organization by a specific department. The department is related to eCommerce which has around more than 1000 employees. Adobe Captivate Prime addresses the lack of knowledge related to eCommerce platforms like Magento. This is being used for employee training but not the external training.
  • Very well trained professionals teaching about the latest technology.
  • Very detailed training modules.
  • Must have product to learn Magento.
  • Collection of catalogs can be more clear.
  • Sample certification exam can be conducted.
  • Offers can be provided in pricing.
Scenarios, where Adobe Captivate Prime is well suited, are
  • when you are new to eCommerce Magento technology it will be a great start to excel in it.
  • when you are a developer or Business Analyst
  • to encourage team members to learn
Scenarios where Adobe Captivate Prime is less appropriate
  • When the employee doesn't work related to eCommerce.

It was too slow, we had connection problems do we had to stop using it. Although, the idea is pretty good. The interface was a bit old fashioned and somehow complicated, but it was a very safe environment I can tell. Basically, the problem was that it was very slow, sometimes we couldn't even connect.
  • Safety.
  • Interaction control.
  • Sharing documents.
  • Connectivity.
  • Design.
  • Simplicity.
It's suitable for online lessons. Although it's not user friendly and it has connectivity problems. It's good when you want to share documents with others and it's also very safe. You can feel that everyone in the meetings are safe (personal information wise) also it's pretty convenient when you need to have control of students.

E-learning with Adobe Captivate is used to do great work. Although not all departments use this product yet, our goal is for all employees to use it. Adobe Captivate's intended use is content development. It is used to make it understandable for students and teachers in current lessons. School leadership actually wants to create a more common usage environment.
  • You can easily prepare projects with Adobe Captivate.
  • Makes it easier to prepare test and evaluation questions and format them with different formats.
  • Easy to work with interactive objects.
  • Tools are clear and simple.
  • Must have a longer trial version.
  • Preset setting should be better done.
  • more user-friendly interfaces can be used.
Some specific scenarios: With Adobe Captivate, you can develop creative e-learning content for students. For example, you can use Adobe Captivate for math lessons by creating geometric content for students to understand more easily. In addition, science lessons will turn into a fun e-learning environment by using Adobe Captivate. Since science lessons are very suitable for visual use, Adobe Captivate will make a teachers' job easier.
