  • Faster decision making for A/B tests: for very high level decisions, A/B testing lets us show effectiveness much quicker and with accurate confidence levels.
  • Confusion for looking at page dropoff: the funnel reports have actually made our decision making worse, because it is explained/designed quite poorly.

  • We used KISSmetrics to guide us through the process of improving a number of pages: integrating browsing functionality on our site, addressing shortcomings on our cart page, even pricing. From a transactional perspective, the benefits were clear and significant. Most notably to our email driven business, we were able to prove a 400% increase in subscriptions to our newsletter by testing how and when a subscription form was presented to the visitor.

  • Assuming that the data is accurate, I would say that the ROI is pretty high. All my funnel reporting and KPI reporting is done in KISSmetrics and these are the metrics I report back to our investors. It was essentially, the main reporting tool for our company. However, due to the data validity issues already described, I have really switched back to Google Analytics as the primary tool and use KISSmetrics as the secondary.

  • Because of the tie from advertising to revenue, we are able to key in on the most successful advertising campaigns. We can then turn up the dial on profitable campaigns, and turn it down on unprofitable ones. The system pays for itself rapidly.
