Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

As a long time user (since 2009) of LifeSize I have always been impressed by how easy it was to get "up and running" with the products, and that remains as true today with their latest versions of the Icons as it did with their older series. Compared to the steps required to setup Cisco and Polycom endpoints (of which I have done as well in the past 12 months) I still rate LifeSize 10/10 on ease of use, ease of setup.

I would just say that our disappointment lies in the fact that we chose a French reseller, and then we realized that lots of European countries chose to equip on their own because quotations they got from local providers were cheaper.

Be able to justify the cost of this product to your company. Some companies might be better off with a cheaper solution and it might be hard to justify spend on this solution. It works really well though and with adequate use cases it is definitely worth your time and money

I’ve worked a lot this year in search of a real solution for video conferences. We tried Aethra Vega systems and after that Adobe Connect Meetings with mixed results. Today we use Google Hangouts a lot for meetings inside our organization and Adobe Connect as an e-learning platform. With Lifesize we made a step forward in quality and professionalism.

Lifesize is fairly simple to implement. I didn't have any problems configuring it. I watched a couple videos online and read the official documentation. Anyone with an IT background shouldn't have any problems installing and configuring it. If you have problems just call their support line for help, but trust me you won't have to.

There are a lot of camera settings that you will want to screenshot or record if needing to configure multiple cameras. I would also advise you to use multifunction devices as if you switch apps on an iPad, it will end the video call. I also suggest deciding if you need to enable lecture mode for instruction versus using the default setting where the speaker is the focus on the screen.

We self-implemented. Setup was straightforward. It took us a while to figure out how to invert the cameras for ceiling mounting. Software interface for device admin is simple, cloud interface for service was really easy to configure. The cabling was more complicated than we expected, and I wish we'd had dual screens so we could display full-size screen share next to full-size video.

We had several problems at the initial implementation of the systems, constantly needed updates or resets 3 - 4 years ago. It could have been the fault of the AV installation company we hired or lack of experience using a new tech then. Currently it runs much smoother due it being cloud based and compatible with a wide range of non-Lifesize systems.

Plan accordingly and don't be afraid to ask questions it will be key to know where network lines are required to be to suit your solution's specific needs, and make sure then when all is said and done that you do enough test calls that you are happy with the call quality. (There is no reverb, the mic isn't turned up to loud etc.)
