We are moving our proprietary systems into SharePoint platform (Cloud-based) and use Nintex to build the new applications. There are multiple applications with complex workflow processes we need to completely move to SharePoint. We are facing the challenge of moving 30+ applications into SharePoint within the limit time. Nintex Process Platform did help us building the application in the short time due to its no code or low code platform. Nintex allows us to complete building multiple applications and meet our deadline.
  • Easily build approval process using email and assign a task actions in Nintex Workflow
  • Easily manage security at item level with O365 permission action in Nintex Workflow
  • Easily use Rule in Nintex Form to build the Input Form and manage the events
  • New Responsive Form does not allow to create a custom button anywhere we want. It will be useful to allow to add the button control anywhere within the form that can trigger the click event rule.
  • It will be useful to allow CSS in New Responsive Form.
  • Found HTML Table tag does not work properly in New Responsive Form.
  • More functionalities related to HTML, CSS and JavaScript in New Responsive Form will be very helpful.
It is easy to build the application and spend less time and effort to debug. Even it is still missing some functions, Nintex is still good tool to start with. Nintex support provides us the workaround when there is a difficulty or issue with limit functionality. My only concern is when it reaches the limitation, Nintex asked us to enter the request in their User Voice and that can never been implemented into their platform.

We process contact & activity data belonging to 10 - 20k hotel bookings monthly. The data needs to be very secure, and we usually need to create a pdf of it to send to the hotel and guests, and take signatures and payments when necessary. In that regard, Nintex has been an absolute wonder to have at hand because we've been able to automatically create, send, document, and report on all the surveys and forms our guests interact with. We can design a form, send it out to whoever, accept and log payments, and then send it over to QB for invoice management. It saved us a lot of time and effort.
  • Smooth document creation
  • Hundreds of integrations which is great for the hotels we work with because we can exchange data quickly
  • Security & compliances
  • The support team is also fantastic
  • It's hard to start using it properly. We had to get to grips with it for a couple months before we could use it with confidence
  • The contract stage was a bit longer than we'd like
It suits our general use case very well which is collecting bookings and other data/feedback from hotel guests. We get the data from them with forms we design through the platform itself, then integrate it to Quickbooks and Looker to sort out invoices and drawing up reports. Compared to exporting and importing all this data by hand, doing it with Nintex saves us hours upon hours, and capital.

It might be less suitable if you need the service running 24/7 without ever cutting off because we had a couple instances where it crashed when it really really shouldn't have.

We use the Nintex form to submit our Title III Time and Effort reports. It allows us to report work towards deliverables and document that for the Title III department.
  • Easy auto complete fields
  • Signature capture
  • Date and time capture
  • Automatic routing of approvals
  • Better validation. If there is a field that needs to be submitted, user should not be able to submit form before completing.
I have only used the Nintex platform to submit Title III Time and Effort reporting. It seems to work well for our institution.

We are using Nintex workflows and forms heavily to fulfill automation from various departments of our organization. It helps us to design automated workflow with ease. Workflows can help streamline and automate repeatable business tasks, minimizing room for errors and increasing overall efficiency. This, in turn, dramatically improves our business. Managers can make quicker, smarter decisions, and employees are empowered to collaborate in a more productive and agile way.
  • Workflow automation.
  • Forms supporting javascript.
  • Responsive design.
  • The workflow designer should have more options.
  • Like document conversions.
  • Report generations.

We use Nintex Platform to manage all the different activity of our clients.
It depends on the client we prepare some workflows or several actions to process the data they generate.
With all these data, they may manage different scenarios to process it and prepare reports for the direction or counsil.
  • Process data
  • Manage workflows
  • Create variables to use
  • Prepare information to show
  • Workflows Speed
  • Complexity of creation workflows
  • Reports Generation
It is very hard to deploy different scenarios but similar to every client.
With this platform we can use several workflows for different clients only modifying some things in them.
It is very useful for us and we are able to accelerate the number of workflows we can manage at a time.

We have several business processes that have been automated via nintex. It has improved process efficiency and made them paperless. Also when the process changes, with Nintex, changing the flow is relatively flexible.
  • Shipping workflow
  • Purchase Request Workflow
  • Request for payment
  • Contracts expiration worklow
  • A seemless move to cloud
  • Very expensive cloud license (new license)
Business processes is well suited, like the ones mentioned before.

I came into a job that was already utilizing the Nintex workflows in both 365/SharePoint & cloud. As the previous person running this workflow was no longer in the office i had to teach myself very quickly. I was able to utilize the pretty intuitive system and learn the pearls and flow very quickly. I have since utilized and customized some of my own workflows for our team. We have had to move many of the workflows from SharePoint to the cloud and then i had to rebuild them in another form of Nintex. I think this is my only complaint. I have since utilized the classes offered on their site and really like all the adaptive things I can do with the program.
  • Automation
  • intuitive
  • merging all the different platforms
I do not think many of the other people in my office would be able to easily understand or learn this program. I feel like it was easy for me but i know my co workers would struggle. I think the education could run as one class all on video instead of having to read and scroll. I was trying to work and learn and and to skip a lot of the reading to just get to the videos as i had other work to get done and was trying to multitask. Nintex is suited for people who understand tech and in a place that could use automation to speed up the day to day. however i think the creation and maintenance could be daunting for someone who is not as articulate in computers.

I use the Nintex Process Platform to connect to different systems at my job. It allows me to sync my Office 365 products in one place. It helps with Outlook and Teams from Microsoft and I have found it to connect very smoothly across both platforms. It delivers local automation and is very easy to use and navigate.
  • Connects to Teams and Outlook.
  • Helps deliver enterprise wide automation.
  • It is easily configured and used at my company.
  • Integration for using it across other apps
  • Expanding it to more businesses
  • Continuing software and technology updates
I would highly recommend the Ninetex product to any colleagues. I have had a favorable experience and so have my immediate co workers. I think it is well suited for companies in the Chicago area where I work. I have used over platforms and feel that Ninetex is ahead of the curve.

I create new solutions or re-architect new solutions to help support business processes that are not covered by existing enterprise solutions. Specifically I analyze and document the business requirements and then create the corresponding solution(s) that support the customer's needs
  • Supports complex approval and decision processes requiring different outcomes or iterations based on users' decisions
  • supports email enabled interaction with the solution to approve or reject outcomes vs. requiring users to be at their computer
  • beautifully interfaces with various web-based platforms including SharePoint and Salesforce
  • Automated a very complex approval process with high-level management requiring only lazy approval (email approval)
  • Automated a very complex rules based form which in its previous version was coded with complex JavaScript
  • Provides quick turnaround for simpler solutions
Well-suited: approval processes, processes with various outcomes, integration of web-based systems (e.g Salesforce, SharePoint), complex forms, mobile usage. Not well-suited: high-volume data processing, machine integration

We use four different Nintex forms on a SharePoint site as part of our intake process for other departments to submit requests for reports, dashboards, PDF and other data related projects. As an example, The Measure and Visualization Change Request form is submitted to request a change to a measure artifact (Business Case, Measure Specification Document) or to a data visualization product (Interactive dashboard, map, excel interface). The form must include all required information and any relevant supporting data artifacts, prior to the change being prioritized.
  • Flexible in being able to create very specific forms
  • Build digital workflows and process apps fast, easily connecting to enterprise systems
  • Drive results across our organization with Nintex Process Platform
  • No extra hardware or software needed
  • Loading forms can longer than expected.
  • You cannot quickly restart a failed workflow.
  • Relies on Microsoft to not make drastic changes or it will fail.
For our use, it is well suited for form creation as part of our intake process. Nintex Forms are quick and easy to build and customize with no code. We drag the controls on to the canvas, define our rules, and publish to our audience in a timely manner. These forms have helped to better control and manage our intake process.

I use Nintex Promapp and Nintex Workflow cloud. Nintex Promapp allows process mapping exercises with ease, it gives you 3 different views of a process. The information is filled out using texts and that information is captured in visuals and text form whereas the other system only allows visuals. This is one of the great tools for mapping the processes and with additional features built into the system, it allows businesses to input timings and cost analysis for the process. Nintex Workflow Cloud is a no-code system that allows us to automate forms, allows API Integrations etc. I have been using it for over a year now. It is very user-friendly and on top of that, it's no code.
  • Nintex Forms.

  • Connection to different systems for ex SharePoint list, Docusign.
  • More content in help section and clear summary on how to use the system efficiently.

Nintex RPA is used in our organization as the bundle package along with the Nintex business automation tool integrated with the SharePoint platform . as a partner of Nintex we implement business automation plus use the Nintex RPA tool for automating Repetitive tasks and which are part of the business automation application combining called as intelligent automation or Cognitive intelligent automation

Nintex RPA tool is widely used in Banking, Retail, and Insurance Sectors where we have implemented the RPA process for their repetitive actions and reduced the time consumption by 70% and increased productivity by 90% which resulted in an increase of ROI for the industry
  • Data entry:Nintex RPA bots can be trained to input data into various systems, such as CRM or ERP systems, at a much faster rate than a human user could
  • Document processing: Nintex RPA bots can be trained to process large volumes of documents, such as invoices or claims, and extract relevant information from them
  • Repetitive tasks: Nintex RPA bots can be used to automate tasks that are repetitive in nature, such as sending out emails or creating reports.
  • integrations: Nintex RPA has a wide range of integrations with other systems, such as Office 365, SharePoint, and Salesforce, which makes it easy to automate tasks that involve multiple systems.
  • Adding Machine learning features like the "Image and Text Automation" component, which allows bots to extract data from unstructured sources like scanned documents or PDFs.
  • Natural language processing (NLP) features to understand and interpret human language, which can be useful for tasks like customer service or data entry. mostly for middle east countries where Arabic language is used.
  • Integration with external systems where many industries uses their own legacy systems and they need RPA bot to interact with their systems as well.
  • Adding More OCR tools for Document data extraction and dynamic content.
1. Repetitive tasks: Nintex RPA is well-suited for tasks that are repetitive in nature, such as sending out emails or creating reports. For example, a Nintex RPA bot could be trained to send out emails to customers on a regular basis, freeing up human users to focus on other tasks.2. Workflows management for bulk canceling and bulk restart which is widely used for large scale who uses Nintex workflow processes.3.Document processing: Nintex RPA is well-suited for tasks that involve processing large volumes of documents, such as invoices or claims. We used Nintex RPA for web scraping. As its not cloud platform so had lot of issue with scheduling BOT via RDP server. The BOT was bit flacky for web scraping (due to screen resolution dependency etc) so could not achieve end to end automation.

We started to use Nintex Process Platform to digitize our paper enrollments and create some workflow to send different information collected to different departments of the company. We aimed at increasing the speed to process new applications as well as being able to track them and identify bottlenecks in the process. We were planning to also use RPA.
  • Automation Flow.
  • Easiness to use the software.
  • RPA (bot).
  • External Webform options are too limited and require workarounds too often if we want the exported documents (Word, Excel...) to have the data in a certain way.
Workflow automation involving multiple cross-functions is great. The output (word export) is too limited, so it has limitations when we want to use it for external contracts and documents. The signature option is also too limited.

We are using it to automate document signing for our students. Prior to this the process was completely manual. Our code compiles information from our potential students and then connects to the Nintex Cloud API to fill out our contracts, stitch contracts together and sends them to the student for signing.
  • Workflow UI
  • documentation
  • phone support
  • documentation has many broken links
The product is extremely versatile and customizable. The workflows provide an unparalleled range of customization that you just don't get with any competing product. While their documentation could use some QA work (broken links) it is very detailed and thorough. They also offer a very comprehensive learning platform which was instrumental in my learning the product.

We use Nintex Process Platform for our Office 365 tenant and SharePoint 2010.

Our main use is for business requests. Internal Staff are able to submit expense claims, travel request etc... using Nintex form. A Nintex workflow then sends the appropriate approvals to the designated approvers.

  • Long lasting, Workflow can stay running for longer than 90 days
  • Easy to setup
  • Good UI
  • Cost Wise
  • Limited Integration, i.e. with other Apps
  • Third Party, Relying on Microsoft to not make drastic changes
I would recommend Nintex and it's solution for businesses that require easy and immediate solutions. Nintex provides a good combination of ease of use and good capabilities, which doesn't require specialist coding skills to implement.

Nintex is less appropriate in scenarios where high customization is required. The form is limited in terms of how much you can customize and how powerful the logic/rules can be set up. In these circumstance Power Apps might be a more appropriate solution.

Also, as Nintex is a third party app. Major changes from Microsoft can cause problems. As Nintex communicated, the Office 365 Nintex workflows would all be made redundant due to changes from Microsoft in how they process SharePoint workflows.

We use Nintex in our org primarily to send grant agreements to our partners and have them sign off electronically. This has cut the workload in half, and in addition has made it easy to manage and retrieve since the documents can be fetched in one central area. Access to the different documents are set up to make sure the coordinators involved can see and also the right managers and executives.
  • template design
  • add multiple signers
  • timestamp
  • the user interface is pretty simple, it could be more elaborate
  • redirecting signatory feature
I believe the best scenario for eSign is the ability to send a document to more than one signer. I think where it becomes problematic is sometimes documents need to be reviewed first, usually by a coordinator, but you have to set it up as a signer even though that person is just a middle man reviewer.

With very good performance to automate our organizational and commercial processes. It is possible to automate the generation of tasks, documents, chats and other operations. To collect accurate and current data from anywhere and send it, dynamic web forms can be created.
  • You can schedule actions like automated weekly emails or monthly document generation.
  • It helps us achieve our goals, we can add tasks and documents to each of the business processes.
  • I support enabling the creation of inline forms on the Nintex Process Platform.
  • The technical documentation might be made better by Nintex Process Platform.
  • Nintex Process Platform needs the Admin Console to centrally manage processes.
  • Nintex Process Platform charges high monthly costs.
The excellent low-code programming tool Nintex Process Platform is dedicated exclusively to automated processes. It is useful for creating digital assets that can be used to update and replace outdated paper procedures. Its ability to fully automate workflow and content-related tasks enables interaction and collaboration between stakeholders and employees.

We used Nintex Process Platform to help bridge the process between different SaaS platforms. It is useful for onboarding automation which helps close a number of gaps between people's communication. Besides closing the gaps, we also use Nintex Process Platform's API to help bridge different systems together without the use of RPA.
  • Linkage between different system
  • Close communication gaps by automation
  • Close process gaps by automation
  • To have more API with multiple systems
  • To adopt modern-looking forms
  • To adopt start point from Microsoft Teams or Slack
Nintex Process Platform can be used to link different systems or automated complex processes. This does away with RPA. However, due to the limitations of the API pre-build library, there may be a need to build additional or specific API or webhook manually. A certain skill set is still required for this.

We use it to optimize the processes that need to be handled by many departments, so the Nintex Process Platform allowed us to be faster on our work, reduce/eliminate all paper and the need to constantly communicate with each department and make sure everything is okay and went smoothly was reduced, and I could actually say it is now null. My job is to create the workflows and maintain them; make the needed updates the company/ employees require so somehow keep growing on a better path. Even though I'm an intern at the company, this is the platform I have learned the best, and I now have full control of it inside the company, and that fulfills me since I see I am able to help my colleagues and learn new things at the same time.
  • Optimizing processes
  • Reducing paper
  • Better communication between departments
  • Easy use of the platform
  • Visually attractive
  • State machines sometimes saturate
  • More capacity
  • Create a cloud to store information
It is best suited for large companies when processes have to be managed by lots and different departments; I don't really think it will be that much useful for a process where it's a one-to-one person.
It is also useful when people are working at home or in different countries, no matter how big or small; it always will make things easier and faster in my opinion.

We are currently using Nintex Workflow for unstructured processes as well as a few more structured processed across the whole company. We have implemented solutions that will be used by any user, i.e. Company gift and business declaration system, to training requests. We also have solutions in Supply Chain, HR, Engineering, Mining, IT all the way up to our Company Secretary. We also use Nintex to integrate or get data from SAP ERP, our time and attendance system, SQL, Project Server and even Active Directory. We use this information to run certain processes. Recently we even used Nintex to connect to the internet to a messaging server for tracking and sending messages. We don't use Nintex for functionality that exists in a formal ERP. We have the ability to apply the Nintex tool to any department and almost any area.
  • Approvals. Assign flexi-tasks and State Machines are brilliant actions that allow for and controlling of any approval set up.
  • Speed of development - Because or the drag and drop and quick configuration, it is possible to setup JAD sessions and build the solution with the users around the table.
  • Integration capability - The Execute SQL, Call Web Service and LDAP query actions allow for integration into almost any system. We connected to an IOT database with the EXECUTE SQL action and configured it to ODBC capability. With the web service we connect to our SAP environment, etc.
  • Tracking of workflows - it has nice built-in functionality to help you track the workflow.
  • Document integration features exist but it is a bit of work to get the doc template ready and update the document through a workflow
  • Debugging a workflow. This is not a problem if the workflow is 5 - 50 actions big but as workflows get bigger and bigger it becomes more difficult to debug through a whole cycle.
  • More standard connectors will help to improve speed of development but not such a big concern.
Perfect for an approval of any request. Review the data and approve or reject with feedback. It's also very good at managing the process. The workflow is a visual design of a process. Less easy to do data integration from a process and then populating that data in a document. It's possible but slightly more involved process.

Currently I use Nintex Workflow Cloud (NWC) for our IT Security Risk Assessments and processes. This includes the intake of all Risk Assessments, from the initial request, Vendor questionnaire, internal Point of Contact questionnaire, through to the IT Security review portion and production of the RA Report. This has allowed us to keep track of where each review currently is within the process. Having this has also allowed us to connect to other solutions, such as SmartSheets, and move/post information within both solutions allowing us to create Dashboards and the like. This has greatly reduced our turnaround time for these and kept everyone in the loop throughout the process.
  • Connect to other solution we already had in house such as SharePoint, SmartSheets and Fusion (Salesforce platform).
  • Allow you to track and follow each step within a workflow.
  • Easily create workflows with a drag and drop interface that anyone can use.
  • When they update the solution, they could do a better job ensuring that it will not interfere with current builds.
  • How NWC handles NULL values
  • Continuity between connectors with other solutions. Some are very in-depth but other are extremely basic.
If you have any process that you do routinely that follow the same basic steps, you can and should use Nintex Process Platform. It really helps you flush out processes, even ones you have had for years. Doing this allows you to streamline those processes and free your time up. It can save your Inbox as well by allowing direct communication to clients or co-workers, without the back and forth or repeats of the same email.

Nintex Workflow Cloud is used for several back-office processes such as manually routing insurance change requests (endorsements) to various groups for creation, approval, and distribution. Additionally, NWC was used extensively to allow for cataloging and storing claims materials including integration to cloud storage providers for document storage and retrieval. Another significant use-case for us was creating an Invoice approval process with conditional approval steps required based on department, invoice amount, etc.
  • Integration to existing cloud solutions.
  • Very smooth integration to o36/Sharepoint.
  • Workflow builder (cloud) is modern and easier to use than most.
  • The form designer is good for a no-code product with conditional rules for fields and support for file uploads.
  • Difficult to fix flows that are in process (such as re-assigning a task for someone that is OOO or has left the company).
  • Nintex support team does not have resolution SLAs (only acknowledgment SLAs). Occasionally this has led to key issues taking weeks to resolve.
  • The number of integrations available is impressive, however, sometimes key methods are not available within an integration. This has been improving significantly in the past 2 years as the platform has matured.
Nintex has been an essential workflow tool for our company for several years. The platform works well, the designer interface is very easy to use and is less clumsy than Flow or others we've reviewed. The account reps and sales teams are good. The two areas that hold back from a '10' would be their inability to resolve break-fix issues quickly and the inability to properly handle error-handling within a workflow. These two deficiencies prevent us from using NWC in a true customer-facing application and limit its use to back-office processes only.

We use the Nintex Process Platform for several business units in our company. Sharing documentation with specific metadata with external partners such as contractors and asset owners is done with workflows. Another example is the processing of data from field engineers which is needed to process in our geographical information system. An engineer has done some adjustments to one or more assets. Then the data is sent to a back office to process the data in other backend applications.
  • Drag and drop of elements in the GUI
  • Good information is supplied trough the help function
  • Good platform where the community can provide questions and feedback
  • More detailed event logging when something has gone bad in a workflow
  • It looks like the focus is on the cloud platform instead of SharePoint
  • document creation is expensive
Nintex is very good in automate manual actions in SharePoint Online with documents and/or list items. Especially in combination with the use of Nintex Forms. For example, start a workflow when a user has submitted a document with a specific option enabled which will inform other users and send the document to different stakeholders. Another example is the way that approval workflows work and can easily be adjusted to the needs of the customer. If you want to build a whole new application (with custom actions) then Nintex is not the tool you need.
