We are using it to manage our drawings, specs, production, and timesheets. It helps with the instant flow of information and gives everyone easy access to it.
  • Document organization.
  • Workflow of information.
  • Too many modules. I would like to see some of the tool functions combined together.
  • When employees are signing their timecards for the week, they cannot see any of the comments.
The program is currently more geared to general contractors. However, it is clear that the Procore team is working diligently on developing the program to be used more frequently by specialty contractors (subcontractors).

We use Procore for information distribution, drawing management, and daily logs.
  • The mobile app is easy to use.
  • Drawings are great.
  • Some features are only available on desktop version, and not mobile.
  • Daily logs notifications from email open in your browser rather than the app, which can be frustrating.
Procore is excellent for documents, plans, and submittal tracking. As a subcontractor, it is very difficult to get general contractors to use Procore, so it is really only useful for internal purposes as a subcontractor.

Procore is simply a drawing-management software for us. Shop drawings are uploaded and notes and revisions can be reflected on the drawing in real time, allowing for quick and easy transfer of complex and critical information in the event of an issue or job hand-off. It is simple to turn these markups into as-builts during the close-out phase.
  • Mobile digital drawing management
  • Real-time markups
  • Building a new project needs streamlining
  • Needs more markup tools, such as duplicating existing symbols or deleting drawing elements
Procore is a scalable solution for all plan-management needs and allows those plans to be shared with anyone.

I work for an electrical contracting firm. The use of Procore begins in our estimating department and if the project is awarded, it follows on to our project managers, operations, and field support. I find Procore particularly useful for myself aiding in the document management for bidding. It allows us to quickly get the information off to our vendors.
  • Document management.
  • Tracking.
  • The interface could be a little more user-friendly.
  • More customization options for reports.
Procore is best suited for individuals looking to streamline their bidding process. It is also suited for project managers to get the latest documents out to their field support quickly. It is probably not suited for a smaller firm due to the initial cost.

I normally create and upload drawings to projects and any related documents. We manage all of our commercial jobs in Procore. It took us a while to dig deep into all the features, but we are happy for the most part with this solution due to cost and expandability.
  • Viewing drawings
  • Daily Logs
  • PDF viewer
  • Syncing of files
Our biggest issues with Procore fall back to the PDF viewer. A lot of our documents can be hundreds of pages. Searching for keywords is not a very effective way to get to page 500. Normally we export the file to "Books" in IOS where the PDF viewer is much more intuitive and functional. Sometimes we don't always have everyone's contact information in the system. Sometimes it would be nice to be able to type a user's contact information in.

We manage contracts, change orders, and--most important--shop drawing/submittal changes. Since we are nationwide, we usually struggle to keep up with the constant changes that occur throughout the construction process. Procore keeps everything in order, in real time, for everyone to view at any time from anywhere. We can all be on the same page!
  • Tracking
  • Constant support available
  • I wish I could search for a word or type on a set of drawings without having to click through each sheet to find the window type I am looking for.
  • I wish we had more markup tools like Nitro has. Example: have an "undo" button instead of having to always click select, hover over it, and then delete.
Procore is great at tracking for construction projects. The financial side can tend to be a little confusing, which is why we do not use it as our only record. We are still using QuickBooks. Is there a way to sync/link our QuickBooks to Procore? Perhaps we are just not comfortable with it yet.

We use Procore to store & access all construction documents for each job we do. By using Procore, we no longer have to worry about all our employees and subcontractors getting the most current construction documents & emails.
  • Since we started using Procore, I know that our whole team is looking at the most current set of documents.
  • Change orders is another thing we like about Procore. By having these documents available in real time to our team, we save time & money. We're doing only the required work & not having to rework something that has changed.
  • One thing I would like to see improved is Procore's ability to recognize and load different kinds of drawings correctly. The program does not always recognize some types of drawings that we use regularly. For example, a drawing that starts with "C" is not always a civil plan. We also use drawings that originate from other countries. These are especially difficult to get loaded in order & labeled correctly.
I think Procore is well suited for a typical construction project that has what would be considered normal drawing types. For example, a set that has general, architectural, structural, & MEP drawings. The ones we have trouble with are drawings that we see for industrial projects that don't follow the normal drawing types. Maybe I need some more training, but these are difficult to load correctly in Procore.

We utilize Procore for the control and management of project documents. Life documents such as RFIs and submittals are logged, shared, and followed through to completion. We use it for Cost management and submission of costs to the client. Procore has improved field productivity by tracking drawings, mark-ups and hands-on activity by field personnel. We also use it for field construction support, time, labor, and budget tracking, field observations, and minutes.
  • Drawings are a very important tool for day-to-day field activity and production.
  • Financials: Provides help to the project manager to keep track of extra costs by utilizing observations, RFIs, and changes to the work schedule.
  • Shared projects between general contractor and subcontractor. Procore is geared more toward general contractors, as opposed to being for specialty contractors or subcontractors.
  • Minutes module needs to be more user friendly. Some users have expressed concern about how difficult the module can be.
For the day-to-day construction and field support, Procore is a great asset. The only issues are connectivity in areas where WiFi is unreliable.
Document control is a bit lacking in terms of correspondence received and better ways to track or find documentation. Documents module is just a repository and doesn't help with document management.

We use Procore for drawings, daily reports, and punch-list items on roofing projects. Procore allows me to look up drawings, take pictures, and put pictures with punch-list items. Procore provides daily reports for foremen to fill out, and he can show on the drawing what got completed each day.
  • I love the fact that we can have the foreman mark up drawings with what gets completed each day, including man-hours used, and we in the office can see as soon as they upload.
  • Punch-list items with pictures on a drawing with a time-line for completion. Foreman can then fix and mark as complete and ready for review.
  • Needs a better schedule
Procore is great for pictures and being able to have quick access. When the guys put pictures in jobs, I can see them right away. And I can track when punch-list items are marked "to do" and when they are complete.
Procore is not very good for using as a scheduler. We are actually using a different scheduler.

We are a site contractor specializing in excavation, utilities, grading, and paving. Procore helps us keep in touch with employees as well as track job status, performance, and track employee hours.
  • Track employee hours
  • Inform us of job status
  • Simplify administration
  • Template import
Procore is an excellent tool that keeps office and field employees on the same page. However, it can be complicated when setting up and customizing specific folders.

We manage commercial and residential small-to-large construction projects. We use Procore to maintain a current set of drawings, submittals, and RFIs.
Once we started using Procore, our field electricians felt more confident that they were accessing the most current, accurate information (i.e. drawings).
  • Drawing maintenance
  • Submittal maintenance
  • Daily Field Logs: There are too many fields to click on--cannot just type issues.
  • Spec Sections: It can be difficult to import--and time-consuming.
We find the major strength of Procore is drawing maintenance, and updating on a frequent basis is very easy. I find the change order process difficult.

We use Procore for the entire company operation. Several Procore tools have been adapted, not in structure or architecture but in internal system building. We use Procore for commercial millwork services in contracts ranging from $10,000-8,000,000. Procore helps with flow of info, speed at which info can be accessed to solve daily problems, organization, and accountability.
  • Observations
  • Document management
  • Creating a system that can be adapted for different clients
  • Connecting general contractors to subcontractors
Procore is well suited to all construction scenarios. The program offers enough breadth and depth for each user.

We use Procore to manage our projects. We keep our plans on there and it allows us to create as-builts as we go along. We use it to perform our safety inspections on job sites. We track and manage product deliveries to sites. We create, store and manage RFI's with the program as well. There are several general contractors in our area that also use this to manage their projects and they use it as a communication tool between us.
  • Plan management.
  • RFI management.
  • Some more home page functionality would be good. I would also like the ability to use some of the features outside of a job.
Procore is best suited for contractors doing larger jobs with established plans. It works for sub-contractors well, but is more directed at general contractors who can use it as a tool to communicate between subs.

We use Procore as a building material supplier for commercial projects. Since implementing the program, we have seen an increase in information flow for each project and an ease of tracking responses to changes that occur within the course of the project. We can ensure that each member of the team is utilizing the same document versions.
  • Document Sharing.
  • Project Organization.
  • There Task functions needs to be able to allow for multiple assignees.
  • Notifications on specific modules could be improved.
When we are in the bidding process of a project, Procore has made the distribution of project documents straightforward and efficient. Every member of the project team has the same information in a format that is easy to access. In the construction world, new print sets with changes are posted all the time, and Procore has enabled us an easy way to get that information to the entire project team. It is a platform that is built to fit the needs of a general contractor, so there are functions that it offers that as a supplier, we don't use. Still, we have been able to confirm many of those to meet work in other ways than they were initially intended.

We utilize Procore to give clients in healthcare institutions and general contractors transparency. Being able to share information in an instant, catalog, and document our work throughout the years and implement change quickly to field staff. It also serves as our time cards and keeps track of billable hours and budgets. Being a company that is across the US it's nice to have the ability to have a standard across the board and Procore is a platform that helps accomplish that well.
  • Standardization.
  • Ease of use.
  • More customization with reports.
  • Timecards for non-field staff.
Sharing information to clients within any construction or healthcare platform works flawlessly with Procore. Keeping track of clients as you would with a CRM, isn't as great. It's not granular enough nor should it have to be.

Currently, as a specialty contractor, we utilize multiple parts of Procore. We are able to manage products through the digital fields. Plans and projects can be updated and utilized for future use. We also utilize the timesheets and documentation programs that help us store and easily use for budget info.
  • Easy to use.
  • Managing production.
  • Manager usage expenses.
  • Possible 3d plan usage.
Procore was able to solve multiple different facets of separate digital areas that were separated before. We were able to take all our information as in photos, plans, spreadsheets, etc to be housed all in one location that helps with ease. Also all easily accessible and used on iPad and easy to learn for even the novice.

We use Procore to be our instant non-verbal communication with other project managers and, more importantly, with the installers of the business. Therefore, as a specialty contractor Procore is more than another software to compile documents, send e-mails through, and assign tasks to individuals within or outside of your team. Procore is the software that has deleted other software's and has connected us to other teams from our vendors to the general contractors. Managing resources is essential and is the result to the effectiveness of a manager. Therefore, any project that has a more than one purchase or has a duration greater than a week is developed and managed through Procore. Procore solves many issues but the greatest that it solves is the office being "in-step" with the field installation without being at the site one hundred percent of the time.
  • Overlaying plans and keeping the previous plan sets.
  • Observations on-site and placing them within the plans and then tasking an individual to create a solution.
  • The schedule tool is difficult to change without uploading an update.
  • Submittal correspondence for the subcontractor is difficult due to the nature of the process to the GC and architect.
Procore is the greatest for communicating, non-verbally, with the installation crew to the project manager. Therefore, in situations of a scope gap between trades or unclear architectural drawings. Procore allows the foreman of the team to take of picture of the existing or furnished field condition and place the picture within the plans (detail or floor plan pages) and show the general contractor, architect, or client that additional work needs to be completed due to the existing condition. Being able to upload multiple sets of drawings also helps streamline the process of field verification of our scope of work as a glazing contractor. The places that Procore is less appropriate is in the meeting notes. As a subcontractor, we do not use this function as much as other users would.

We are a HVACC/Mechanical contractor working projects as both the prime contractor and as a specialty contractor for other GCs. We utilize all segments of Procore on our projects and have integrated the program with our accounting software. Procore has allowed us to expand our projects capabilities and greatly increased our field and office coordination, with both our team and other subcontractors.
  • Significantly increases coordination with field and office
  • Teams always have latest drawings
  • Needs a way to un-publish drawing markings
I would recommend Procore to any construction enterprise with more than 3mil gross annual revenue.

  • Helps us manage RFI and change orders
  • It has an excellent print management system.
  • It is mostly targeted to general contractors and project managers. It would help if we could personalize on our end for such things as writing field change orders.

I am a sales representative/estimator for a large cabling contractor in Memphis. I needed a product to assist me in quoting large and complex low voltage cabling projects. Several of us in my office use it to do takeoffs on these projects. It also provides bid management and unit costing of material and labor. It is so beneficial that we were willing to pay the small monthly cost for it ourselves if necessary - it is that useful of a tool. I can not imagine quoting a large project without it now.
  • Allows me to mark off cable locations once to ensure they are counted and not missed, my favorite part of the software.
  • Provides a pre-loaded database of frequently used materials with associated labor costs for labor calculation. All fully adjustable to your particular needs. And generates a quote based upon your hourly rates, mark up, etc. All fully adjustable to your standards or special project calculations.
  • I use just part of the software, and they frequently enhance the software so I really have no additional needs at this time.
I use it as a low voltage contractor. I know it is usable by other types of contractors. If it works this good for us, I am sure it is just as beneficial for others in the industries they support.

I use Procore on a daily basis as a subcontractor. I enter our contracts, billing, invoices, etc. Our accounting is through QuickBooks, and I'm not finding Procore to be intuitive enough to work with QuickBooks. There is too much double inputting. It seems that Procore is mostly for a contractor, not a subcontractor.
  • It is great for project management.
  • The ability to mark-up plans
  • Integration with QuickBooks could be a lot better.

We use Procore to store the information for each project, including drawings, submittals, and other key documents, to ensure that everyone on that project team has access to the same information. We also use Procore to request material, submit labor pay, and send daily reports to our clients about the status or progress of their specific project.
  • Drawings--how easy it is to search for pages or areas
  • Documents--how easy is to file and have access to them
  • Emails--when using templates you cannot change the heading easily to identify each email.
  • Signatures on forms would be very useful.
We find that Procore's Punch List is very well suited to provide proper documentation so that the whole team knows all the changes that need to be executed in the project.

We use Procore for all job management. This helps streamline everything between the office and the field so we’re all on the same page! We have recently started really digging into all that Procore can do, and I have been impressed at all that is available on one platform. Procore helps reduce the calls back and forth within the team as any questions can be answered by looking into each job's Procore account.
  • Can be connected to the general contractor's Procore account, if they are managing it
  • Sends emails on almost due and overdue items
  • File drag-and-drop occasionally does not work.
  • Loading blueprints can be slow at times.
One thing I like about Procore is that you can add all of your job documents into Procore but only give access to certain people if that is what is needed. For example, the financial part of the job doesn’t need to be shared with the entire company so you can lock that up and allow access to only those that need it. This way all of your information is in one place still.
