Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We do a lot of design thinking at my company. Miro is our go-to hybrid workshop and brainstorming environment. I do lots of journey, process and service mapping with colleagues in Miro. Additionally, I do mind mapping and project planning in Miro. The nice thing is that the collaborative nature of it is easy for people to understand, even when they are not as technically inclined as some others.
The primary benefit is being able to quickly jump in and ideate with others. I highly recommend using custom templates for your company to help standardize on the look and feel or things like workshops, and build in a little bit of time in sessions to orient new users. This will help you get the most out of your Miro experience.

- Provide a quick and easy collaboration environment.
- Allows for asynchronous brainstorming to happen, which is essential for distributed, global teams.
- We sometimes use it to present information back to stakeholders instead of using something like PowerPoint or Keynote
- Using the templates to quickly get my ideas on paper to share with others.
- More partnership with conference room technology manufacturers
- Ability to segment the infinite canvas in a quick and clear way
- More plugins to tools like Office365 and Adobe Acrobat
- More offline workflows so I can do stuff on the commuter train to work!
- Quicker ideation with distributed teams
- Creation of assets to help convey a story of our users journey
- A place to form project plans before getting into a formal project tool like Workfront.
We are a global team. We will never solve timezone issues but this tends to help us work quicker and asynchronously to speed up development of project plans, create goals, or connect and build community among our teams and adjacent teams. It helps a lot to be able to have people add sticky notes to a board, and feel like they were able to contribute to the project in near real time.
MSFT Whiteboard is missing features and feels clunky. My company doesnt use Google products so Jamboard doesnt work for large projects, and Canva is a direct competitor to my company. Miro makes financial and experiential sense for us. It feels intuitive, including all of the shortcuts and add-ons, so I find it to be the most user friendly.
