Overall Satisfaction with NinjaOne
We use NinjaOne as our primary patch compliance software. With NinjaOne, we are able to set different policies based on the Device or VM. We currently have 30+ VMs and 100-150 End user devices that NinjaOne manages patches for us. We also use the built-in ability to remote into those systems as needed. This makes life a lot easier for helpdesk to triage issues for our end users and our higher-level techs to fix any server issues or run maintenance. The dashboard gives you an at a glance view to see any potential issues with your environment. There are built in tools to help you automate tasks or run maintenance via the portals built in "CMD"like tool. We currently use splash top but I believe there are at least 2 other options for remoting into machines.
- Remote Management
- Patching
- Monitoring
- Automation
- Ticketing system
- Reporting
- Time savings by not having to walk to each device to triage
- Time savings in automating patching
- Time savings in narrowing down issues
NinjaOne has made a major impact in our ability to manage all of our devices across our 2 sites. We have tried other RMM's in the past, but NinjaOne has been by far the most useful and we do not use everything it has to offer yet. We plan on expanding on the automation further to increase our efficiencies.
By ensuring our important security and critical patches are done for all our devices be it end-user or server. NinjaOne makes it easy to set the policy and walk away knowing that the policy will enforce. If there are any issues, they are displayed on the dashboard for quick triage.
I have yet to automate anything on my own but have used the built in scripts to automate weekly maintenance. The maintenance consists of alerts to reboot the end user computer once a week. weekly script maintenance that clear temp files, flushes DNS, and other quick and easy items to be pro-active.
So far NinjaOne has been more stable to use vs the items listed above. It has been easier to setup and go. Easy to setup end user equipment with a quick setup file that an end user can run if you asked them to. The portal is quick to update and quick to allow you to start managing new devices.
