Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

TeamViewer allows us to access thousands of devices spread across a huge geographic area with excellent responsiveness. If there's a change we need to make on a server on-site in a closet 500 miles away, we can quickly jump in and immediately make it without needing a complex setup with multiple VPNs or vulnerable ports open.
  • The responsiveness is amazing. While you won't be doing FPS gaming over the connection, you could easily do your normal browsing and emailing.
  • Setup is simple and doesn't require extensive network changes.
  • TeamViewer can run on any computer platform and be accessed from any platform, including mobile.
  • Pricing is evolving and while still one of the best deals, has gone up for certain user/device counts.
  • If you use TeamViewer personally, it may conflict if you use it with a business license.
  • Occasionally gets stuck in certain environments in an unresponsive state, usually on MacOS.
  • It's much less expensive than our previous remote access tool
  • It's much easier to set up and requires less time to manage
  • Sessions are generally more reliable and require less time troubleshooting
TeamViewer was a far better value and in our testing actually performed better generally, especially when it came to live sound transfer and just overall mouse responsiveness and screen quality. It also has a bunch of other features that we'd have to otherwise pay for separately with a different remote access tool.

TeamViewer has an easy deployment tool for installation on both server and standalone environments. It's also quite easy to send out install packages for end-users to install, both for immediate quick access and unattended access. Getting started with accessing devices is as easy as installing the program and logging in with an authorized account.
The security features are vital to our usage of TeamViewer for remote access. We make sure users don't have access to devices they don't need to have access to and make sure their login methods are secure so the devices they can access aren't breached. We've never had any incidents, and with solid 2FA implementation, we can be a lot safer.
TeamViewer works well for most scenarios from a small business just needing access to a few computers to a large organization with strict access control. We use it to access a lot of devices that we can only occasionally be physically present at. There's also a free version for personal use so there's an easy way to test it to see if it would fit your specific needs.
