Considered Both Products
TeamViewer
Chose TeamViewer
TeamViewer is my personal favorite of all the products I've tried. My company pays for Zoho Assist, but I have so many customer who hate using it that I, out of pocket, paid for TeamViewer myself. The ease, recognition, and just overall quality, speed, file transfers, easy …
Chose TeamViewer
TeamViewer stands good among the one which we reviewed in market. Easy to use from customer end and cost bearable as well.
Chose TeamViewer
TeamViewer has been widely used in the market since 2005, and it is the most popular remote control software. Its pricing plans are suitable for small to large enterprises. The software can be used for meetings and files transfer. It can also be used freely for non commercial …
Chose TeamViewer
TeamViewer works really well and is easy to use when all versions are in sync. So our choice for overall ease of use would be TeamViewer but due to version issues and pricing issues, it is not our primary remote support platform. Should they improve the versioning issues and …
Chose TeamViewer
The all-in-one aspect seemed great at first and looked like it could justify its price tag. The product's easy setup and great performance were definitely there, and our teams got up to speed really quickly. Unfortunately, after a year or so, we migrated to ConnectWise because …
Chose TeamViewer
TeamViewer was chosen after we tried many different and well branded competitors. The most important factor was security [...]. TeamViewer HIPAA & SOC 2 compliant is trusted by the largest organizations.
Fast to implement/install, monitor and manage, is needed when we have now …
Chose TeamViewer
Zoho One is excellent. I highly recommend. TeamViewer is nothing special, although it works (well) as it should. Cancellation policy is that you must notify them 28 days before renewal. I got locked in when I found out we were renewing - there is NO NOTIFICATION that …
Chose TeamViewer
Team viewer overall provides more features and perks which is much needed especially when dealing with a high amount of users.
Zoho Assist
Chose Zoho Assist
I have been impressed with the options that Zoho has for the price. It has really allowed us to do what we need to do at a price that is reasonable.
Chose Zoho Assist
Better features, better pricing, better access options
We've moved from 2 other products to Zoho Assist based on the price, features and access options. (Unattend versus support website/sending a link to a user)
Chose Zoho Assist
Cost is one thing that makes Zoho Assist beat the competing software. The security plans from the software ensure files and anything sensitive are well maintained and governed. The interface, the simplicity, and the friendliness of Zoho Assist attracts attention of prospective …
Chose Zoho Assist
Zoho Assist is excellent. I've used Team Viewer extensively and will never use it again. It is a massive waste of money compared to Zoho Assist. I have not had subscriptions as a user to LogMeIn, JoinMe, or GoToAssist, however, I have used them while being assisted by …
Chose Zoho Assist
When the company bought this software, we decided on Zoho Assist because there were other management employees and specialists who already used and approved this software. Support and warranty are great. It is an easy tool to learn and use every day. Features work fine without …
Chose Zoho Assist
Regarding the issue of costs, I think that Zoho Assist is much more accessible and that is a benefit for both me and the customers who request remote assistance.

TeamViewer
In my opinion, TeamViewer is at its best for IT support engineers or system engineers. That's because visuals make things much easier than words of an employee who isn't that good with a computer. A 15 minute problem without TeamViewer can be a 5 minute problem with TeamViewer. The time saving is a great add. The less appropriate will be a department that has a lot of private information that can be trusted via TeamViewer. To minimize the risk of leaks of that sort, the Servicedesk has to be physically there.

Zoho Assist has been great for me when someone calls and has problems accessing files, or can't figure out why their computer is doing something weird. I can just send them a link and be connected to them in a couple minutes. I've tried providing support to mobile devices and it has proven to be a challenge, especially if the user on the other end is not particularly tech savvy. The installation process is not intuitive and the functionality of the support once I was connected was not very good

Cons
TeamViewer
  • The update Cycle of the Desktop app is sometimes unstable. We downloaded the latest TeamViewer Desktop App from the official site, and it immediately asks us to update.
  • Pricing tier for small teams can be improved.
  • Live subtitles for audio from remote device can be implemented.

Zoho
  • Wake on LAN is very unreliable.
  • Zoho Assist service will stop workstations automatically sleeping (unless overridden) - this was done deliberately by their development team as they aware (and unable to fix) their issues with WOL.
  • Support is terrible - very quick response initially - but it can take weeks to get any actual support or solution. I currently have outstanding tickets over 2 months old with no response.
  • File transfer clunky, slow and inconsistent.
  • Clients often show offline when actually available and online.
  • Copy/paste inconsistent (clipboard).
  • Initially slow to connect to clients.

We need this tool in our day to day business. It is what we do all day remoting into clients devices. In this day and age we can access devices all over the world as long as we have secure internet connection. It certainly saves money in gas, and even if you are away you can help.

Usability
TeamViewer
TeamViewer is a reliable and really strong tool for accessing remote IT platforms secure and fast. We don't know any product that provide us such strong functionality to make our life as a internationally recognized MES provider with DIAMES with an international clientele so easy. We look forward for any new TeamViewer functionality that supports us even more.

Zoho
Very easy to use. Tech support is available, but not needed. Our customers are able to download and run the file quickly, an audible tone alerts users as to when the assisted person joins the session. It is functional, aesthetically pleasing, and contains all the capability anyone needs for remote support.

TeamViewer
the few times i have had to contact teamviewer support, they were very responsive and give me quick answers and seemed to understand my problems quickly and easily. I did not have to sit on the phone for hours on hold or get passed around to multiple phone support techs before finding a solution to my issues, so i would rate their support very highly.

As I said earlier, Zoho Assist is a perfect remote access software and very well meets our needs to solve installation, uninstallation and general configuration issues. The interface is beautiful, clean, user-friendly and works very well on Windows 10. All the support and infrastructure staff approve and enjoy using it

In-Person Training
TeamViewer
As expected without any problem! Alternate in-person training is another efficient way to learn how a product works. There are many third party supporters for TeamViewer courses available that can give additional ideas how to use TeamViewer for specific functions and features as we did require in respect of our usage.

Online Training
TeamViewer
I have never used the online training either. I have watched a few informational videos that were helpful when learning how to do a specific procedure within TeamViewer and get the most out of the software by utilizing one of the many features that are available with the software. Again, 5 if for neutral.

Implementation Rating
TeamViewer
In the beginning, it raised certain concerns among team members regarding its security and privacy. We also found that offering short sessions to introduce the extended functionalities of TeamViewer enhanced usage and efficiency the most among our team's employees. Solving all these made integrating TeamViewer with our ticketing system easier, which helped improve the support system by creating a flow on how various tickets are acknowledged and solved.

Alternatives Considered
TeamViewer
Horses for courses they say but all around, TeamViewer is the best software for remote management, period. Pulseway's remote desktop can work well on the phone app but on a desktop, it is often unreliable and drops connections. AnyDesk is not appropriate for our business and is only good on a case-by-case basis.

All of the products listed can be used as standalone products or like we do as a suite of products that help various teams and departments make the day to day operations run more smoothly and efficiently. The only non Zoho product that i currently use that is like Zoho Assist is Microsoft Teams, and while teams has many of the same features that Zoho Assist has it does not go into as much depth as Zoho Assist does as it is not meant for support, also the other party would need to have teams as well to establish a call whereas with Zoho Assist its just sending a link via email to the customer to open the support session.

TeamViewer
it was pretty much instantly.
  • Limits travel to remote locations or from remote employees by being able to manage and troubleshoot remote computers without having to have hands on the machines physically.
  • It limits the need for shipping machines for testing or troubleshooting and lets us focus on sending and receiving the parts needed only.
  • Increasing the ability to remotely manage retail locations so that each one doesn't need an IT person on staff with 9 locations is a tremendous cost savings to the organization.

Zoho
  • We never skipped a beat when the 2020 lockdown occurred. Everyone was already set up and able to work from home.
  • The cost of Zoho is much less than other remote programs; especially when remote connectivity cost includes up to 100 technicians (we made each user a tech of their own computer).
  • Integrating with other products and receiving a bundle discount is a plus.
