Box review
- Syncing with personal folders makes it very easy to upload/save/download shares docs and files
- Creating folders with different permission levels helps share appropriate files with different team members and audiences
- Each user can save files in Box, instead of overwhelming their personal folders on personal machines
- Viewing reports in Box is almost impossible, because the preview functionality is very outdated
- Finding folders in Box is not easy, as the breadcrumbs do not link to interim folders, but only start and end points
- sometimes Sync fails and has to be rebooted to make sure users have the latest versions of files in their personal folders
Box review
- Version control.
- Data integrity.
- Security.
- BoxSign.
- Pricing - its not cheap!
Box for document storage and collaboration
- Ease of administration.
- Ease of use.
- Seamless integration for windows users of O365.
Great cloud-based storage and collaboration solution
- Unlimited cloud storage.
- Real-time collaboration.
- Versatility and software/hardware agnostic.
- Pricing: if you pay for an enterprise license, you would not expect to pay for any add-ons.
- File size limitation (currently 15GB) could be increased significantly.
Best solution out there!
- The user interface is extremely easy to navigate and allows less tech savvy users to find what they're looking for easily.
- It is reliable and we have never had an issue with lost or missing files (unlike our previous document storage).
- It is fast to upload/download, and if there are ever issues affecting the user experience, administrators are notified and kept up to date so we can disseminate the information through our organization.
- Box Drive doesn't work well on our computers - extreme (days to never) delays updating.
- The Outlook integration is great, except that it would be better to be able to attach files using the buttons, rather than inserting a link.
- It is annoying to have the Box pop up in every new email asking to store an attachment on Box, even those that are being attached via Box Drive.
Simple to manage data with amazing features
- There is a record size limit on Box.
- In the event that a specific record surpasses a given size, Box won’t have the option to match up the document from our PC onto their cloud worker.
- The interface ought to give the office to do particular matching up of documents from my computer.
- It is utilized across the association and establishes a climate where everybody can without much of a stretch offer documents in only a single tick.
- Not incredible for utilizing as a reinforcement.
- At the point when I required it to, it could just do particular record the executives, not whole folders.
- I did prefer to have the option to see more substance when I utilize the work area program.
Box: A simple way of backing up files
- Unlimited storage
- Easy synchronization of files to your computer
- The interface is pretty straight forward and anyone can use it easily.
- The files are stored properly and can be shared very easily for collaboration between users.
- There is a file size limitation on box. If a particular file exceeds a given size, box wont be able to sync the file from your computer on to their cloud server.
- The interface should provide the facility to do selective syncing of files from the computer.
Review for Box
- Helps to sync all the contents in cloud along with that of the Box installed. It integrates with file explorer on that of windows or macOS
- Sharing of files is very seamless and easy task especially when there are multiple people involved in the organization or project to work.
- This has a great feature of controlling the access of the files as well as folders and set appropriate privileges while sharing or collaborating with others.
- Can be shared via link or email and can be managed when it comes to collaboration.
- It has a great security feature enabled which has AES 256 bit encryption and also has the scope for full end to end encryption. This also has a 2 factor authentication enabled for additional security.
- When it comes to pricing, and when it comes to personal pro plan then the cost is a little high.
- There could be limited consumer options available.
- Some of the features might get overlapped.
2) Transfer required via email/link with managed collaboration.
3) For easy access of data on cloud and easy sync.
4) This fits the best with enterprises and has the chance to integrate with many tools and s/w and OS.
Whereas this is less appropriate:
1) When it comes to having a personal setup or personal pro account then it comes to a little more price.
2) Also when we speak about many consumer options, there is also a chance of improvements.
3) This also has some of the features which are overlapping.
Box: Premiere File Storage & Sharing App
- Easy to use
- Cost effective
- Frequent updates
- Great service
- App could be a bit more robust
- I wish they had higher presence in my industry
Box is great for starters!
- Ease of sharing: Extremely important when multiple people/departments are working on the same project.
- Saves hard drive space by housing files in the cloud.
- Getting the link to share files instantly in a single click.
- Editing Excel words directly through the web-based app.
- No training available.
- Mobile app is horrible.
Box for data sharing and storage
- It has provided 50 GB of massive storage option with free organizational ID.
- User friendly interface. You can easily create folders and upload files.
- Security is much better as compared to other alternatives.
- Nothing much to dislike but, there are few limitations that needs improvement.
- Requires an internet connection while accessing Box.
- Heavy files require fast and stable internet connection.
- Simple to use with user friendly interfaces
- Ease of adding / removing users and supports multiple levels of access
- Uploading / downloading files is fast and one step process
- Folder structure can be difficult navigate and find what you need exactly at once
- Shared files do not indicate current viewers / users
- depends on internet
However, if you are sharing general documents and files without any sensitive information, a general application like Google Drive would also do the job.
Great for storage, sharing—but can get pricey
- Lots of storage.
- Ability to share easily.
- Easy user interface.
- I’d like to see more pricing structures offered.
Box is easy document management
- Organize documents
- Share documents
- Tablet reader
- An easier "offline" mode
- Management across folders to find similar files
Secure and easy to use cloud backup system
- easy to install and set up
- Cross- platform. Box can be installed on Mac OS and Windows, and you can always access your files online.
- Syncing is done nearly instantaneously. All files in the Box folder have a checkmark next to them, and when they've synced, the checkmark turns blue.
- I would like to see a free option for Box
- Very large files cannot be synced unless you get a premium version. This is a bit of a drag, as I use many large, important datasets.
- When you first install Box, you have to move all the files you want to sync into the folder, which can take a lot of time.
Box is Great for Medical Data Needs
- One stop shop for all files
- Sharing files isn't too hard
- It's HIPAA and HITRUST compliant
- Multifactor was a chore to use, but that's an organization choice. It's nice to have the option
- I wouldn't use it for file management. It does better with collaboration
- Not great for using as a backup. When I needed it to, it could only do selective file management, not entire folders.
- Secure File Transfer
- Ease of use
- Ease of Organization
- File transfer can be slow at times, particularly on uploads
Perfect File Storage and Sync
- Third party tool integration
- Automatic on demand file synchronization
- Well designed for collaborative environments
- Not as well integrated with the operating system like Goolge Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, not a deal-breaker though
- Desktop app is slightly over-complicated with too many options.
- Cheaper alternative for storing large amounts of data.
- User friendly.
- No learning curve.
- The way their account structure is setup could be done differently
Box - a decent rival to Google Drive
- Speedy upload and download times
- Very simple and easy to use user interface
- Version number - you get a new version every time you modify a document, or upload a document with the same title, in the cloud. This can be confusing when working with documents that don't accurately reflect the version number.
- All Box needs now is a "smart" feature where it can "predict" what document you want to touch next. Yes - copy what Google Drive is doing.
As a Client, Box is a Super Useful Service
- Presents data clearly for us to access
- Organizes it for ease of use
- Can store data for long-term access
- A login banner alert covers the download button each time, which makes it easy to miss
- More options for downloading / storing like Dropbox has
- Add checkboxes next to individual files for selecting just a few files
A specific scenario in which it's best suited for use is a temporary transfer of media files from a group or organization to a client for, in our case, review purposes (like music). We use it regularly and are thankful for it.
Box Serves its Purpose

Great Utility to have
- Ease of use
- User Friendly
- Easy to navigate
- too many options
- initial setup if you do not have an account
- not everyone knows about it
- Lock down document access.
- Limit document sharing.
- Limit document editing.
- Editing is difficult within Box.
