I use Optimizely Content Marketing Platform to edit and categorise content for a client. We provide full-service content support for our client – this includes placing individual articles across different categories for improved user experience and editing work via multiple editing stages that are then viewed by both the clients team and our own. This enables us to delegate duties across different teams and ensure all steps are complete.
  • Step-by-step tasks that are delegated to specific team members
  • Layout formatting that allows you to specify how the content should look
  • Tag-able comments so that you can quickly address problems vis the most direct source
  • It would be useful to have Header sections included in the format (so H1 title, H2 body copy etc)
  • Would love to connect Optimizely Content Marketing Platform to the CMS system for ease of uploading
  • Image sourcing would be helpful
Optimizely Content Marketing Platform provides seamless visibility across multiple departments and teams, including for separate teams (such as agencies and clients). This allows us to be on the same page at all times, and nudge each other easily with comments and questions. The assigned tasks make delegating between teams really easy as well, especially when actually face time is limited.

Organizing project tasks across the company. Can be used for personal organization as well. Similar to monday and Asana programs.
We use it for our design and marketing teams mainly as you can store images and ideas.
Others in the organization can put in a work request to ask for an item and it easily tracked and organized.
  • organizing
  • work requests
  • sharing ideas
  • project management
  • needs forms
  • monday allows outside request forms which we haven't been able to work into Optimizely Content Marketing Platform
  • better notifications
I think Optimizely Content Marketing Platform is best for design, marketing, and other visually oriented teams. It has a good library for images and provides stock images as well. The request form works well internally. It doesn't work well for us if you need outside requests. Monday works better for that in our use case.

I use Optimizely Content Marketing Platform to run A/B testing for my website to understand which aspects users are liking and more inclined towards. From the results, I am easily able to identify potential changes I need to incorporate in my platform in collaboration with development team to bring out the best customer experience.
  • It is intuititve for seasoned professionals as well
  • Quick to set up on different use cases
  • It is able to perform well in case of heavy traffic on website as well
  • User interface could have been more detailed, seems boring a bit
  • Test reports sometimes becomes cluttered in case of many data points
  • Difficult to get started for new users
Optimizely Content Marketing Platform is well suited for use cases where professionals wants to run multiple scenario based A/B test results to identify major segments/cohorts for improvement from which the business can benefit from.
It is not well suited for end to end analysis of the results in standalone manner as reports could become cluttered, saturated and diffciult to understand in case of heavy user data.

It's a great platform that brings employees together from different backgrounds, responsibilities and departments, and allows us to work collaboratively to meet our objectives.
  • Allows people to join and collaborate in different touch points
  • Timely notifications allows people to collaborate when needed
  • Customizable for your specific needs and wants
  • If there's a URL on the email headline and I click it, it will take me to the URL as opposed to the Welcome ticket
  • I can access the item from the email and I don't have to login, but if I access the website directly, then it asks me to login
Well suited for writers - from editing to reviewing to publishing, for content managers, and for comms teams that work on separate campaigns together. It allows everyone to be in the know and make better informed decisions on a content strategy.

We use Optimizely Content Marketing Platform to coordinate with our global colleagues for the editing & approval process for our social content, written articles, and web pages. Additionally, we utilize the calendar feature to have a holistic view of the different marketing initiatives and when they are scheduled to go live. Since we work in different time zones and all utilize different programs/software, Optimizely Content Marketing Platform gives us a central location to view the above information.
  • Approvals Workflow
  • Social Media Content Scheduling
  • Quick communication with Employees
  • User interface
  • User experience
It's great for us to set up approvals workflows and communicate with our global employees in a central location that is easier to follow than email chains. It also allows for quick approval processes with clear direction compared to doing so over email.

Content collaboration/content creation as well as a source-of-truth for content in the Library. We also use to assure consistent processes and standards are met in the creation of content that will be deployed across our digital ecosystem.
  • Enables cross-functional collaboration in a centralized environment
  • Assures standards in processes while providing visibility into content development
  • Replaces spreadsheets and file server-based asset management
  • Provides incremental value with integrated stock image and AI generation tools
  • UX needs to be rethought. In my opinion, text is very small and often not intuitively laid out
  • In my opinion, better integration with other Optimizely products: expectation is that it should dovetail into ODP, CMS, content recommendations and Delivera. In my opinion the current stack integration is not cohesive
  • In my opinion, library needs to be improved with more of a Finder or File-system-like interface. In my opinion, it's very hard to organize assets that have been placed in the top-level folder by default. Better search based on file name and content would also be helpful.
  • In my opinion, there's a big gap between a collaborator and a guest.
Companies with distributed workflows and/or approval processes will benefit through a centralized creation and management platform. This system solves the problem of random processes and approvals with increased transparency and speed to market. Even without exploiting all the distribution opportunities (e.g.: Social, blog, CMS), the platform will increase productivity and collaboration.

Our initial business need was a digital asset management platform. Having compared a few against Optimizely’s CMP, we found that the planning and collaboration of the workflow process was the real benefit. We already had Optimizely CMS implemented, so it only made sense to continue with that product family. Our Marketing team consists of over 30 individuals with vary differing areas of focus - web, print, technical documentation, SEO, photo and video, etc. Getting all of these disciplines in sync is integral to any campaign. From ideation to creation to approvals to publishing, it all happens in one place, visible to everyone needing to see it. Once complete and the content is pushed to the library, anyone in our organization can see and use it as well as be directly utilized on our website through the CMS. Our business model is build on a massive field team that support their local customers. Giving them a single source of truth for usable assets is icing on the cake.
  • Content collaboration
  • Campaign planning
  • Asset versioning
  • Mobile experience
  • Asset organization
  • Notifications — standalone page, customizable email templates…
Optimizely’s CMP has significantly organized out Marketing department’s workflow processes and ability to find current assets. The campaign function allows us to group together all the relevant tasks despite them being carried out by different teams. Assets are updated rather than duplicated. Tasks are collaborated on rather than siloed. Requests are seen rather than lost.

My team uses Optimizely Content Marketing Platform (aka Welcome) to capture every digital marketing request in the US and Canada, which is 200+ projects per month. Optimizely Content Marketing Platform has helped us stream-line the process from no tool to a well-oiled machine. Each subject matter expert can request digital support easily. We can edit what's needed on the fly and we can leave comments to document as needed.
  • easy to customize workflows
  • consistent improvements and upgrades
  • great customer service
  • calendar layout is clunky
  • reporting can be difficult
  • Library storage could be more functional
Optimizely Content Marketing Platform is a great content tool, but love to see it with more of a project management focus. Something integrated would be super. It can be difficult to give a very specific deadline for a particular piece of the overall campaign. For instance, if a task has a deadline of x, a designer might see that and think that have until x to deliver. When in fact...they do not! We had to be very careful in training so the team looks inside a task to understand when their piece is actually due.

I input stories and then edit them as needed by clients. It’s a great way to work among disparate teams and consolidate all parts of a project in one place. We can refer to the project parameters and all comments easily. Can also track and tag team members whe it’s their turn so work stays on time
  • Ability to tag team members
  • Easy formatting
  • Easy to highlight and leave comment s
  • I wish we could toggle between versions without replacing
  • Can be hard to track changes
  • Sometimes the notifications don’t show up
I work with an agency partner and various clients to create content . We can keep all our communication in one platform and it makes it easy for people to share feedback, eidts and comments. I mostly do relatively short prices—500 to 1000 words. Longer projects would be harder to track

The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse Food and Agriculture Company with 7 different Business Units. Most of the Marketing Teams for these Business Units use Optimizely CMP on a daily basis. They have found it to be a very robust yet easy to use platform for content intake, Digital Asset Management, and planning. The workflows are easy to customize and flexible. We used to struggle knowing where things were and lose time when working with external agencies. Optimizely makes it a breeze to see exactly where a piece of content is, who has the current action and whether it is tracking on time. It's seamless integration with our Digital Asset Management tool saves us time and ensures we are always working with the latest version.
  • Workflow
  • Planning
  • Organizing
  • Less need to bounce around in the tool
Our Marketing teams get Digital Content requests daily from the field for Product Sell sheets, table tents, Livestock Store flyers, etc. Using Optimizely we have streamlined our processes and can plan and deliver on time.

We use Optimizely to plan our content calendars, create content, and synch between teams. The platform addresses the business problem of not having consistency between teams. In such a large company, it is important for tasks to not get lost between each team that needs to contribute. This platform allows us to assign steps in anyone in the company, communicate effectively and concisely, and track progress.
  • Email Content Planning
  • Task Review
  • Team Communication
  • Groupings - it is easy to miss the step that assigns a task to a larger project
I think it is most appropriate in large companies, where there are many different people touching different aspects of the same project. It makes less sense in smaller companies, when only one or two people are seeing the project the entire way through.

I am mainly using Optimizely for our legal docs as a one stop shop for the most recent, and up to date docs, which is used by hundreds of people like myself. This being a very convenient way to manage our content and helps making sure no one uses any outdates content. The user interface is amazing, and super easy to use!
  • Organizing our content
  • Staying up to date with corporate requierments
  • User interface is great!
  • Works fast
  • Reliable platform
  • Remove the preview option when clicking once. It'll be nicer if we click and being provided with both options instead.
  • Provide the option to download an entire folder of docs without entering to the folder itself.
  • 'Watch' option for specific docs, not just for folders...
When any corporation needs to be sure that people are aligned and using the same content, constantly. This isn't just for Legal docs, but can be leveraged for all of the different departments of the Corp you are working at, R&D could keep aligned with their processes and development documentations, Sales for their processes, etc.

NewsCred is a great tool that we use to align marketing resources to each content request. We are able to track progress, initiate new requests, archive content, and sync to other platforms.
  • User-friendly experience.
  • Organized and customizable platform.
  • Making edits for content can be done in different places and should be easier to use.
  • Allow for custom permission sets.
NewsCred is the perfect fit for marketers, but not the best platform for sales enablement.

Our content marketing team uses Newscred with our content management system to create and edit blog posts and share social media related to those blog posts. We also work with NewsCred staff to contract with freelancers and get syndicated content to fill any gaps we might have in publishing content to our blog.
  • Customer Service: They'll contact you with a "we're looking at your issue" email within the hour, even on weekends and holidays. Beyond solving your issues/problems with the software, they'll also follow up later to make sure you don't have additional associated issues.
  • Live Analytics: You're given a snapshot of how your blog content is doing at any point in time, since they've been tracking your posts/content. You can compare this month's traffic to last year's trafffic during this same month. Other data points include: Unique Visitors, Average Attention Time, Pageviews, Engagement Rate, etc...and you'll even get referral traffic source. There's much more that I'm leaving out here.
  • CMP User Interface (UI): Love the easy to use interface to upload blog posts, to use for editing and publishing content, and broadcasting social shares. Besides easily identifiable icons, you can create/edit content in the WYSIWYG or use the html view to make sure everything looks exactly how you prefer. Another cool thing is that the CMP auto-embeds live links of social updates (like Youtube, Twitter, Instagram) for more dynamic blog posts.
  • Cutting and pasting into the CMP can bring in some weird html and spacing issues and sometimes even with the auto-embedded social shares. This is an issue with freelancers, more than with in-house writers, but needing how to read/handcode html means only a few people on our team can prep and "fix" weirdness in the content.
  • It'd be great if custom modules had the same WYSIWYG functionality. We had NewsCred create an area where we write an intro, to "personalize" each post to our brand voice. But, it requires the person writing the intro to know html, since the WYSIWYG feature is missing.
Well-suited to large company blogs, like our company, a global SaaS. We have various blogs, in various languages, that use NewsCred to update to all our respective blogs. It's a great way to silo our different blog content, but also to peep at each other's content to repost to respective blogs. NewsCred is awesome in this context, but wouldn't be as useful to a one-person shop that only publishes original brand content. The platform is also great for organizations that need to supplement content with freelance writers and syndicated posts.

We use Newscred as a provider of licensed content from a few different sources, and we also use the publishing platform to publish both the licensed content and our own original blog content. We use the Newscred analytics platform to track against our KPIs. The platform is used daily mostly by a handful of people within our marketing organization.
  • The publishing platform is extremely easy to use and serves all of our blog publishing needs.
  • The analytics function is great and provides us with real-time visibility to performance.
  • The team is the best thing about working with Newscred. They are extremely knowledgeable and responsive, and they're proactive about coming to us with suggestions about how to improve the performance of our content. Whenever we have an issue with or a question about the platform, they're responsive to our needs. We find their advice to be spot-on and insightful, and the relationship we have with them delivers a lot of value.
  • More sophisticated formatting capability in the publishing tool would be appreciated.
  • The analytics functionality seems still to be under development, but it could be more robust.
The best thing about working with Newscred for us has been the ability to bypass our internal web team to instantaneously publish content (vs. dealing with SLAs of days or weeks), and then the ability to track the performance on our own, again without involving any other internal teams. This has greatly improved our efficiency and performance.
