Talkwalker only stacks up against these other paid products in one sense: It is the only free tool with any degree of functionality. If you need a more accurate and precise listening tool, Talkwalker isn't the best option. However, if you aren't ready to take on a monthly expense, Talkwalker is a great product.

I have yet to find another tool that would provide me with such a detailed information per query. It's such a find! Plus, I get separate emails per a search query and I'm able to archive those emails to the appropriate folders and always have a way of looking back. It's very useful for building monthly reports.

For our needs, Talkwalker is the best 'all-rounder' in the market. Some of the other platforms focus more on certain media types (social in particular) or specific geographies (western markets or English speaking markets). Talkwalker covers all media and all markets very well. Its capability in monitoring original language content is excellent; the sentiment scoring is strong; the data visualisations are powerful; the technical support is excellent; the flexibility of subscription is very welcome. All of these things combined made choosing Talkwalker a simple process. That's not to say it will be right for your needs - you need to evaluate this and other tools in depth before making a choice.

Talkwalker's ability to instantly search two years of past content (versus 30-60) days for most competitors is a convincing argument for clients such as PR agencies who often need to look back at 2 years of a prospect's coverage for a new business pitch

Talkwalker was not only more affordable but more accessible and customizable than the competition. Whether it came down to developing more bespoke insights, white labeling and branding, or creating individual views into the data, Talkwalker provided all of the tools to do just that. There is greater Boolean capability on the back-end, with the ability to create massively diverse taxonomies that bring in not only a huge number of topics, but multiple languages. It may not be as flashy as some of the competition, but the company is obviously taking pains to create a glitzier look on the front end. Even saying that, the proof is in the analytics and insights the system provides, with the ability to export what may not "look" right to be recreated later.
